#s://i~imgur~com/wtkp15v~png As Ariel had come to learn over these past four days, certain people seem to have a lot of expectations when it comes to Tuesday. Unsurprisingly, as much as her boss may claim to want to keep his identity a secret, the man can't help but love to make a name for himself, even when acting as a six foot tall armoured catgirl. Of-fucking-course.So, as Lord Darien Blackthorne's reaction clearly tells her, turns out Ariel actually can't go anywhere in this convention without having to keep up the farse, but that's fine. After all, she can just act like she was kidding if needed, right? Surely Tuesday must love messing with people as much as Martín Marzán does (not that the public knows about that). "Ah." She exclaims, her expression lacking in any of the surprise that her voice seems to express. "That true. I guess that must be the actual game lore reason for it, hm? A lesser person would have made a pun about how it all might just be a giant bug."Flashing a smirk, she keeps going down the path, raising her camera to take a picture of some kind of caterpillar-like Pokémon that's currently crawling up a tree. And, no, of course Ariel has no idea what Gigantamaxing is. What a terrible name for a mechanic. zybuK8831-101-10 1-10·1-10

Tuesday sure was... a character. Sae found himself faintly glad to have not actually run into her in-game. Until now, but- maybe it didn't count. She spoke again, and her words didn't reach her eyes. She was good at acting. At lying. It unnerved Sae.
But- she'd asked a question, in a sense. "Um- I, right." He said, doing a poor job of conveying that he was listening. But... she didn't seem to care. Sae took a shuddering breath, and followed after her.
Tuesday had found a little caterpie. He watched her take a picture, as if she was going to do something nefarious instead. Which... she didn't. He let out a little sigh, and shook himself out- moving to her side, and pointing at the tree, keeping his voice low. "I think... the tree behind this one might be a trevenant. It might give more points..."

#s://i~imgur~com/wtkp15v~png There are points for taking pictures?Honestly, Ariel had totally been ignoring that part of the game. But, while she could have easily asked such a question in humourless surprise, she instead lets it linger at the tip of her tongue for a moment. Why? Well, because while she may think its silly, she's all too familiar with her boss' competitive nature, and it's easy to guess that any sort of point would be of importance to Tuesday. Men can be so childish, can't they? "Oh really? Thank you, you're really good at spotting Pokémon." She praises Lord Darien Blackthorne, but there is no smile to accompany her words. See, more than complimenting him, she's pointing out how efficient he is and how that is a good thing indeed. But, hey, at least she's appreciative! T6m7SI_c1-101-10 1-10·1-10

Sae nodded, but didn't feel really comforted. Tuesday had a way of speaking that... was made of reassuring words, but offered no comfort. But, if he had to come up with a personality for a player that competitive... he supposed "ultra-friendly" wasn't exactly what he'd come up with either.
"Um. Thank you." He said, opting to do the polite thing and take what she said as a compliment. It was possible she was... trying to be nice. He couldn't begrudge her for that. Instead he let his eyes slide past her, to the trees, waiting. It had strange cracks along its bark, but was that simply patterning, or-
No- The tree shifted, rising up a bit, eyes flickering open. It was a trevenant! He picked his camera up again, hoping to snag it before it retreated back to sleep.

#s://i~imgur~com/8xsvHmy~jpg Look over there!
Is that a giant Burmy?!
It sure is! Cute as hell, coated in leaves, and still clinging to the branch of a tree despite being undeniably too damn huge to hang off it. It lies sideways on the ground as a result, napping peacefully, and cute as it is, Hilda sure doesn't miss the chance to snap more than a few pictures.
So, yeah, she's distracted, and it's undeniably her own fault when she loses track of the group she had been with and ends up walking through the forest alone. Oh, Hilda. But, hey, at least there's people nearby! She can hear them!
"Oh." Is the first thing she says when approaching, immediately recognising a couple of familiar faces even if only one would likely recognise her out of the game. She smiles then. "Hey, Sae. Ran into anything fun yet?"

A quiet sigh escaped him as Sae looked over the photos he'd taken- some nice, but nothing breathtaking yet. It was frustrating... but he wasn't a photographer. Even when the subject as something still he... People online did better with their phones.
He glanced up at a call- expression finally brightening. Hilda! "Mm, no- nothing I managed to catch." He lamented. "But there was a volcarona, and a flock of rookidee." He tikted his head at her, thumbing through for a moment before spinning his camera- the flock of rookidee, with Too Many Subjects for a pristine score.
"What've you found out here?"

#s://i~imgur~com/8xsvHmy~jpg "Oh, Rookidee! That's cute. Though... Snap's scoring system is kind of silly, isn't it?" Hilda laughs, because truth be told, these kinds of games have never been her preference. Catching Pokémon? Figuring out a good moveset and fighting with them? That's much more her speed, but still, she's a gamer, and of course the gamer in her always craves a high score — no matter what game it is.
"Big pictures where the Pokémon is well centered usually do the trick, from what I know." She offers Sae a smile, soft and warm, her own camera then being brought out to look through the ever-growing gallery that currently has one too many giant Burmy pictures. "I just saw this huge Burmy. It's kinda funny... I had heard people talk about how the Bug Pokémon are giant in Gamma Island, but I hadn't realised other Pokémon would be their usual size. Look at this Furret!"
It's a sleeping Furret... and it slept until the second the shutter of the camera awoke it.

Sae shook his head. "Wht it considers good compositions feels arbitrary." Dependant on the whims of the coder, how hard you pressed the camera shutter, and if someone was listening to a Madonna CD in Texas at the time. But... it was just a game, and nothing to lose sleep over. Probably.
He peered at her camera as she flicked through the pictures, blanching a bit at the massive burmy, and following Hilda's gaze to a furret. Curled up in a neat little circle.
Until Hilda snapped a picture, and the furret snapped up, eyes wide and ears flicking, little paws twitching as it tried to place the noise- letting Sae snag an adorable picture before the pokemon liquified and ran off, vanishing beyond the allowed depth of field. "Oh- thank you! You're realy good at this." Maybe Hila had been a photographer before Hydance...

#s://i~imgur~com/8xsvHmy~jpg Hilda had not been a photographer before Hydance. Far from it, in fact. As is the case with a great number of women on social media, dearest Hilda exercises the practice of taking over one hundred pictures of the same subject, only to end up being barely even mildly content with one of them after some editing. Alas, c'est la vie, it is what it is. A game about taking pictures, though? That's different. That comes with scores and thus also with a need to do well.
"Ah, you think so? Maybe I'm just competitive." She laughs, her smile leaving it unclear if she's being serious or just joking. Truly, it's more about having high standards for herself, but it's not like she's going to sit in this virtual forest and explain all of that to Sae. "...Thanks, though. Yours turned out really great too!"
She means her words, and with them, her gaze darts to the trees, searching for her next target through her camera's viewfinder.
"Hmm... I bet we can find another giant bug somewhere nearby..."
Too close, perhaps.

Sae laughed with her. Here in VR, even without the shielding of characters, Hilda seemed... braver, mayne. More outgoing than he knew her to be at work. Was he braver, too? Or was Sae always going to be Sae?
"Ah- thank you," He said, pausing to look at the furret's picture. It... it had turned out nicely, with soft edges and dewy eyes. One of its little feet was even fipped up, paw beans on display. It had to be worthy of a prize- right? "Mm, probably. A giant something, at least." He looked over the trees with her, seeing only an eager meowth and some pidove cooing at each other.
He did not see the creature stalking them from the other side of the tracks, only frowning as he felt... something. Sae turned, and froze, staring over at a massive tank-sized galvantula. "Hilda..."

#s://i~imgur~com/8xsvHmy~jpg Life would be much easier if it were more like games. Or, well, at least that's Hilda's experience. In places like these it's easy to feel at home, and it's without a care in the world that she too looks at their surroundings, searching for her camera's next subject...
That is, of course, until Sae shakily calls to her.
"Hm? What's up?" Famous last words, perhaps? She turns to face her friend there and then, lowering the camera, and the instant she does, she freezes. See, game or not, it's hard not to freeze when face-to-face with a giant tarantula. "Oh... Hey there, big guy—...gal... uhm...aren't you a cute one... haha..."
Her body feels as stiff as her tone, but she somehow manages to take a cautious step back. See, in the depths of her mind, Hilda knows that it's unlikely that pokémon this game would hurt players, but those depths are hard to reach when the rest of her thoughts scream: GIANT ELECTRIC SPIDER!!
Should she run? She sure considers it.

The galvantula padded forward, legs moving in synchronized grace. Sae didn't hate spiders, which was apparently an unpopular opinion. He wasn't the type of guy to keep a tarantula, but any spiders in his apartment were gently escorted outside, and any who made nests on the outsides of his windows could stay and eat their fill.
None of them were bigger than, like, an inch, though. And certainy none of them were electrified.
This one wasn't soothed by Hilda's speech, chittering softly as it approached them. Sae's feet were fastened to the ground. He hadto do something- he couldn't let Hilda get eaten by a spider- but he didn't know what else to do.
Barring any other ideas, he raised the camera, and snapped, flash on.
