LOOKING FOR EGGS! searching... While the real-world seasons may not strongly affect most of UNOVR, THE ROOKERY has been transformed yet again. The stone tower, with its giant nest at the top, has been converted into an epic ski/sled course. From steep black diamond runs to gentle sledding slopes, there's room for players of all kinds to enjoy these last few weeks of winter.
And who knows? Maybe you'll even find a Pokemon egg buried in a snowdrift!
BEWARE: Hungry, egg-craving Pokemon sled these slopes as well, trying to beat you to a snowy winter omelet. Keep an eye on these scavengers or you'll find nothing but yolk on these slippery slopes!

"Wheee!!!" Aero cheerfully cried as she went down the slope with her skis. She was excited to hear about the Rookery transformed into a ski course. While it was her first time here, she was more excited to ski since her family canceled their plans due to a dangerous snowstorm at their intended destination. She wasn't alone as she had her Fuecoco sitting on her shoulder, enjoying the breeze as she skied in her purple winter jacket, pants, and boots over her usual outfit in the game. "Isn't this great, Coco? We get to ski without leaving the comfort of my warm home in real life! Isn't this awesome?!"
"Craw! Craw!" Her Fuecoco cried happily while shrugging off the cold around him.
"But the only thing that will make things more exciting is an egg rumored to be around here. I want another Pokemon at our party, so we're going to get it no matter what! Are you with me, bud?"
"Craw!"
Aero grinned at her partner Pokemon's answer as she let her ski slide through the slopes. "Alright! Time for an egg hunt/skiing of a lifetime! Go! Go!"

Zac shot down the slopes like a greased marble across hotel linoleum. His hunkered form carved a straight line down the mountain, which should have been the first sign that something was wrong.
Professionals weaved and curved, modulating their speed to maintain control.
Zac had other ideas.
He hurtled straight towards the biggest jump on the mountain: The Widowmaker II
"Ve are go'in much tu' fast!" said the Vulpix clinging to his back. Buzzster tried to shake his head, but the speed kept him looking straight ahead.
"It's fine!" he said through gritted teeth. "I'm gonna hit the jump!"
"No it's not! Yu don' no' 'ow to slow down, do you!" La Trixxia accused. Her dainty claws dug into Zac's shoulder. Aero loomed into view, a bright, breakable form on the otherwise clear runway of Zac's Icarus-esque flight. "Careful! Zere iz a kid!"
Zac tried to turn, but ended up just flipping around so that he was now hurtling towards the young trainer backwards.
Frantic, La Trixxia bit Zac's ear and he crumpled in pain. The pair hit the hard packed ground in a tangle of skis, red fur, and rental gear, tumbling past Aero and landing straight in a huge snow bank off to the side of the slope.

It seems that even in WRG, Rhaenyra really didn’t like the winter months. The frigid temperatures and hazardous conditions wasn’t her thing. Yet as her pale golden orbs shifted over the vast blanket of the snow that covered the digital earth, she had to admire the beauty of the season brings. At least, here she did have to worry about dying from hypothermia or getting frost bite.
A whine at her feet forced the woman to glance down at her feet, spotting the bright orange purred fox easily in contract to the white stuff. A frown formed along the woman’s lips, feeling bad for the little fire type. “You don’t like the winter either, do ya?” “It’s too cold,” Izumi replied in a whine, sticking close to her human, “And it gets my fur all wet.” Rhaenyra let out a single chuckle, reaching down to pluck the fox off the ground and hold her in her arms. The back of her gloved hand brushed the fennekin cheeks. “That’s because you are so warm it melts upon contact.” Izumi pushed into her touch, the woman memorized for a moment at how real it felt.
A scream of joy snapped her back to into the virtual world. Her gaze lifted, watching as another player was having snowball fight with their pokemon. The scene brought a slight smile to her face, only to fall flat again when she remembered why she was here in the first place. “We need to find that egg for the egg hunt,” the woman mumbled, gingerly placing the fox back on the snow covered ground, “Look for large circular piles of snow, behind, or underneath things. It white like the snow so we can’t rely on color alone.” “Right!”

Aero was having the time of her life. With her Fuecoco by her side, she was enjoying the breeze as she skied through the slope like no one was looking. But just as she would enjoy more while searching for eggs, she heard a scream behind her. She turned to see a young man named Buzzster Hooperham coming down right behind her very fast and from the looks of it, it seemed to be heading right toward her. Normally, a person would have panicked and tried to move away. But for Aero, she simply moved to her left and let the young man pass her by without any incident or panic. "Who is that weirdo?" Aero asked, which her Fuecoco shrugged in response. "Maybe let's check up on him just in case."She quickly slid down to do so, hoping he didn't get hurt in the process. He didn't know if Trainer HP exist here, but she needed to check or her conscious won't forgive her. "Are you okay?"

Whatever had possessed Muin to make him think it was a good idea to come to participate in the Rookery's WINTER EGG HUNT leaves him completely by the time he arrives at the island 's stone tower and finds it turned into a winter wonderland. Winter he can deal with just fine, but snow? Snow isn't his thing. "I suppose if we find the egg easily we can get out of here quickly..." The Gardener muses, condensation rising into the air with his every breath. It's cold. It's too fucking cold. And not to mention... there's way too many people. Which, unsurprisingly, is what seems to appeal to his pokémon the most: <'Aw, but why? This is so fun! Look at all those people skiing and having snowball fights! Hey, hey, Muin, can we try that? Can we sled down the slope?'>Why did he have to end up getting an energetic, outgoing, and chatty one? "No." Muin sighs, but of course, his denial does not stop the spry Vulpix from running on the snow and jumping onto piles of it as if he were actually of the Alolan variant of its species. Why would it stop Fern, right? Nothing ever seems to stop Fern. Not even the fact that his naturally warm Fire type body emits so much heat that the snow melts and gets his fur wet. Muin rolls his eyes, set on ignoring him, but it's hard to ignore when the Vulpix jumps on another pile of powder snow, sending it rising on a flurry of snowflakes that mostly fall on another trainer and her own vulpine Pokémon. "My apologies." He says to Wolf with that oh so distinctive and well-spoken received pronunciation accent, his attention returning to looking for the egg after the social obligation has been performed. Aren't social interactions just the worst?

Zac was stuck deep in the snowbank. Thankfully, La Trixxia was having no more of his bullshit today, and with a burst of flame she burned a dainty hole and escaped back into the Winter sunlight. "I"m all good!" Buzzster called to Aero through the little hole in the snowbank. "Sorry for the near miss there bud."
He crawled through the hole of molten snow, digging a path to accommodate a man of his size. Buzzster character had set the height and shoulder-width sliders to maximum. Not out of a vain attempt to appear bigger than he was in real life, but because he was just that big. To be honest, his tech skills weren't quite Bill Gates level, and he had accepted the default model created from his mental body image.
This is all to say that Zac was a hell of a lot bigger than his Vulpix, and there was a lot of digging and muffled swearing before he was free of the snow. Once he was free he lay on the snow, catching his simulated breath. He looked up at Aero. "So what brings you out here?" he asked nonchalantly.

"Nah, don't worry about it, mister. As long as we're okay, we're all gucci!" Aero happily said as she flashed a big nonchalant grin and a thumbs up. "Craw!" Her Fuecoco added with a small Ember escaping from his mouth, which was surprisingly good timing since Aero needed some warmth. Then, after she and Coco watched Buzzster Hooperham manage to escape from the snow cage he accidentally trapped himself in, Aero carefully walked to him on her skis and hummed in thought. "Basically skiing and finding those Pokemon eggs I've been hearing a lot from here," she answered with her hand on her chin. "I'm guessing you're doing the same, right?"While they were chatting, Coco got down from his trainer's shoulder and started aimlessly wandering around the snow. As much as she wanted to stop him, she learned to let him go at his own pace. She knew she was like her while he wasn't hungry. So she couldn't hog all of the scenery to herself.

"This was a bad idea." Cleo looks down the hill, stomach buried somewhere several feet deep in the snow underfoot. Under ski-fitted feet. What had she been thinking?
She watches as people zip past with incredible speed. Right. That. She'd been thinking about the speed. She could cover so much ground with these skis! Such a brilliant plan! Just happened to forget the very important part of needing to know how. Was it really so foolish to assume that maybe, maybe, whichever coworker had coded this event had coded in the magical ability to ski for every visiting player?
At least she'd managed to scoot some ways away from the lift to stay out of others' way, but… "The only way out is down. And the only way down is…" She swallows. Logically, rationally, the slope isn't too bad. But her brain can't connect that logic to the mind-spinning nausea that the little specks of people at the bottom of the hill evoke.
"Maybe… maybe in a bit. I just need to adjust! Acclimate!" She barks out a nervous laugh and leans back, letting her rump fall into the snow.
And what better way to acclimate than to pull out her newly acquired egg?
She holds the icy egg in her gloved palms, staring it down. "You're an egg. A snowy kinda egg, even. This is just your sorta place. So… so, snowy egg friend. You think like an egg – surely you know where an egg would hide in all this, right?" Her teeth chatter all through her rambling. The egg in her hands does nothing, says nothing – simply exists, colder than even the wintery wonderland all around them. "Right…"
Maybe if she's really lucky, the egg will be right here! She gives the nearby surroundings a half-hearted pat down.

With a big smile on her face, Celastrina sledded down the slope, with Toto sliding after her on his belly. Even with all the battles, dungeons, and crazy adventures to be had in UNOVR, there was something to be said for reliving the simple childhood pleasures- especially since it was a lot easier to find snow here than it was in the real world.
<No eggs yet, Rina?> Toto asked, pushing himself up as they reached the bottom. Rina shook her head as she picked up her sled and began the climb back to the top. "Not yet, Toto," she replied. "But for now, having fun is more important than any silly old eggs!" Soon enough, she reached the top, and took a seat on the sled. Toto gave the sled a push to get it going, then hopped forward to follow Rina down for another run.

All right, all right, she was here, she bit, let's move on.
"I don't want an egg," Jade groused for the umpteenth time, staying a couple steps away from Roger. The Torchic would kick her shins every time she tried to hang back, so she'd gotten pretty good at outpacing him. She glanced back to gauge the distance, feeling ungainly in her snow pants and heavy down jacket. "Too risky. Could hatch into anything. Good, bad, big teeth, small teeth."
<It's part of the experience,> Roger said. The snow on the ski path sizzled beneath his talons. Despite the freezing weather, the Torchic radiated warmth and calm. Jade wanted to strap him to her chest like one of those dads with the backwards baby backpacks, but someone had to keep her on her toes.
When Jade had heard about this place, it had seemed insane. A huge tower with a giant nest at the top? And all these Pokemon apparently came here to lay eggs? And it was winter-themed? Get out.
"Actually, I ain't a bad skiier," the green-haired woman said once she had her skis on. "Maybe I'll actually have some fun."
<You do that. Be back in ten minutes or I'm coming after you,> said Roger, settling down at the top of the slope. His head lolled, beak sinking into the bright orange feathers of his chest. Is he seriously dozing off?
How the hell was she supposed to get back anyway? There was no chairlift. Was this a spawn point at the top of the Rookery Tower?
Well, she'd just have to watch everyone else and figure it out along the way. "Here we go," Jade muttered, adjusting her goggles, then pushed off with both poles.

And there they were, minding their own business. Digging through piles of white fluffy snow, searching for an egg to claim as their own. Despite the bitter cold, everything was going swimmingly for lack of a better word. Rhaenyra and Izumi kept to themselves, ignoring the rest of the search party in hopes to find one quicker than the rest.
“Izumi,” the silvery haired woman called out to her fire fox, spotting a suspicious looking pile of snow close to them, “Let’s search over there.” A hand rose, pointing to said spot as she motioned with a nod for the canine to follow her. Izumi poked her head up and out of a snow hole she was digging, a dusting of the winter flakes stuck to her orange fur. “Okay,” she replied happily, leaping out from her snow fort and hopping across to her trainer.
Once at the spot, Rhaneyra got down on her knees and began to scoop snow out of the way. The fennekin joined in, digging her front paws into the snow and pushing it out of the way. But just as they started to dig, a suddenly snow shower coated them. “What the…” the woman mumbled, gaze lifted to the sky only to be meant with clear blue skies. A brow rose, pale golden orbs fell onto her fennekin as she shook off the snow.
A voice was heard from behind her, forcing Rhaenyra to turn and lock eyes with a white haired player. Her expression remained tranquil, the only signs of emotion was the uncontrollable twitch of her wolf ears and tail to indicate her annoyance. She eyed Muin discreetly for a moment, only to casually shrug her shoulders and mumbled in a monotone “No problem” before turning back to her dig.
Although her back was to the man, the woman still kept herself on guard. She has yet to experience person versus person in the game, and this would be a bad time to see how those mechanics worked. Yet several scopes of snow later, a hint of green could be seen through the blanket of snow. Her brows rose, casting her fox a look in surprise before both began to digger harder. Soon, a green oval was revealed.
“We found one,” Rhaenyra shouted out louder than she intended, gingerly scooping the egg out from the snow and getting to her feet. Pale golden orbs examined the egg, appearing health despite being in this fridge temperatures. Izumi bounced back and forth in her spot, bushy tail wagged excitedly. “I’ll have a new friend!”
In that moment, the egg shook violently. It nearly startled the woman half to death, scrambling to get a better grip. “Oh s***,” Rhaenyra mumbled, death gripping the eggs as it began to crackle at the top, “I think it’s hatching.” Not to much time after he made the comment, the top of the egg broke open. A green nose poked through the hole, nostrils flared for air. The woman let out a sigh, recognizing the creature just by its nose. “Is… is that a treecko?”
