RT. 3 POKEMON CENTERNeed a medic? We've got you covered!A circle of field tents makes up this pop-up Pokemon Center on the Surge Steppes. The place that once played host to the everyday life and studies of Professor Ash has since been reconfigured into a place of healing.
Wounded Pokemon rest on stretchers in some of the tents, while others stock cabinets of potions and modern medicine. Supplies always seem to be running low.
"Do you want me to heal your Pokemon?" asks the nurse on duty. Her name is Nurse Bethany.
Healing is not as simple as it is in the main-series Pokemon games, nor as instantaneous as using a shrine. Several minutes pass as your Pokemon's wounds are inspected, sanitized, and bandaged.
Heal your Pokemon...
Players may not sacrifice/exalt, form change, or cleanse Corruption from this location.

It has been a while since the last time The Captain logged into the game, so might as well go heal up his Pokémon before doing anything... in case they need it. From what he had learned, it's not like they need to eat or anything (thankfully, or he'd feel bad for being offline for so long), but you know: better safe than sorry. Plus, everyone's been talking about this new Pokémon-hospital-thing that opened at the Surging Steppes!
"Do you want me to heal your Pokemon?"
"Oh! Yeah, that'd be great, thanks." The Captain smiles at the nurse when she approaches, calling out the few Pokémon he has. At least he had figured out how to do that part without a problem. Progress, right?

Tiernan made his way, now not to some great shrine, or a place without- but a collection of little tents. He made his way to one of the cots, helping his pokemon up. It was easy enough to make simple conversation with the nurse, Rae'shalare’s fur brushed gently away from wounds, Fal’inrush gently fed healing berries. Hopefully, in the future, things would go a bit easier.

Tents. Signs of what looks like a field hospital. It brings reminders of military CHS, and with those reminders comes the thought of once being told that before developing UNOVR, Hydance Interactive had a rather successful VR military first-person shooter game. Are things like these remnants from those days?
Yuze's train of thought is interrupted by a woman in a pink nurse's attire. Why do nurses always have to look like this in media? Scrubs are the far superior and more comfortable choice. But, he doubts that the woman minds: her demeanor and willingness to approach marks her as an NPC, after all.
Without a word, he calls Lamya out of her Pokéball, and from there on, he watches the procedures with unhindered curiosity.

Thankfully for Josh, the tents comprising the makeshift Pokémon Center near the Surge Steppes were not far from where he and his team had fallen. He groaned as the medical staff there performed basic first aid to get him back on his feet, bringing him to one hit point. The static running through him simulating great pain made it difficult for him to navigate the menus, struggling to reach the entry for the stack of MEDICINE he bought. Gulping it down and coughing at its bitter taste, all of the claw marks he was covered in disappeared.
Several minutes later, Nurse Bethany returned with Ares and Raiden, all patched up. "My, my! You look like you took quite the spill out there, young man!" she remarked. "Try to avoid the Duraludon if you can, until you're more prepared! Take care, and good luck out there!"
With his Pokémon fresh and his own wounds mere scars that would disappear completely in due time, he jogged back to where Silvermoon was fighting the metal monster, wondering how they were holding up. Hopefully they were still standing. NAME SPECIES LV HP/ MAX TP Josh Human 1 36/ 36 10 Ares Charmander 1 24/ 24 8 Raiden Blitzle 1 26/ 26 9

M'Foxy blinked her eyes open, sitting up on the cot. Nurse Bethany looked over at her, head tilting. "Are you alright? What pokemon of yours needs healing?"
M'Foxy shook her head, reaching to shake out her hair. "No pokemon! Just laid down a bit too long with the ponyta out there." She dismissed cheerily, hopping down. Nurse Bethany looked baffled, but M'Foxy saw no reason to explain. This was player-parasite business, after all- NPCs need not apply!

Silvermoon jerked upright, sliding off the cot. "Oh- Excuse me-" The nurse's words went unheeded, Silvermoon moving to Kintsugi's side. "How are you?"
<Well enough to keep going.> He growled, bandages still wrapped around a paw, and his torso.
Silvermoon nodded, running back towards where the others had been, trusting Kintsugi to follow.

As it turned out, unlike any other RPG, sleep was not a cure-all. The only cure-all was a Shrine or local equivalent: in this case, the Pokémon Center on the Surge Steppes. Josh had become a regular visitor to this particular Pokémon Center, even getting a good idea when it got busy. The wee hours of the morning was one of those trough times, and it was a good thing. His entire team needed to be healed, which was going to take a while.
As Josh presented his team of Pokémon, one by one, the nurse on duty made a remark about how dangerous the Duraludon and Rufflet there were. "I wasn't even looking for a Duraludon or a Rufflet. I just want a Ponyta or two." While waiting for his Pokémon to be healed, he checked the spawn list to make sure he was in the right place. He was. Ponyta were absolutely confirmed to be populating the area. He had apparently just been extraordinarily unlucky.

”Please do, she’s put up with a lot today because of me.” Alicia mused as she stopped by the camping(/traveling?) Center.
”Yup…” Tikani noted with a grumble. ”In-battle heals are great but no true substitute…”
”We came out on top though. That’s gotta be worth a cheer, right?” Alicia asked he partner curiously.
The Chikorita deigned to not answer as the Nurse moved to do her work

Wrong move.
In an instant, the Ponyta wheeled, hooves flailing, and it was over. The Fire-type was darting away at a stumble and Exochomper laid there in the grass, knocked unconscious. "Exo!" Adrien had rushed over to the starter's side, but it had been too late. His luck had run out.
The Trainer's ears were low as the warp faded around him to resolve into the Pokemon Center, padding over to the side and laying out Exochomper on a stretcher. "Sure. Heal him up," he murmured when asked, the wind thoroughly taken out of his sails from the failure of his first encounter. He'd thought he'd had this, and here he was now, just because he thought he'd known the game-!
"Ow!" he cried, shooting upright in a flash at a sudden, sharp pain in his tail. Adrien wheeled around, ears flat back and a hiss building in his throat, only to falter at the sight of his now revived Totodile, jaws clamped around the long, pink tail. <Toto totdile!> he stated as he let go, shooting an expectant look at his Trainer.
The stare-off continued for a long moment before he groaned. "Fine! We'll do one more try before I log off tonight. Happy?"
<Totodile!>

Adrien's hand hovered over the logout button for a moment before he paused. Sure, he had signed off plenty of times on stream with his Pokemon fainted or injured... but it didn't feel right doing it now, when they were a bit more than your average, unfeeling pixels. Sighing softly, his fingers tapped to warp him back to the Pokemon Center he'd been at before, passing his Pokeballs to the nurse that met him there. "Look after them, will you?" he asked with a charming smile before, as soon as her back was turned, he hit the button to log out, intending to crash for the night before he had to stream tomorrow.

She hadn't done much damage with her attack - or at least, she didn't get the chance to before the Duraludon had slammed its arm down, causing her to collapse in the dirt with a cry.
And although Adrien could have let Exochomper finish it... it hadn't seemed right, to let him finish what Wildfyre had started, so he tapped through the prompts to warp him away-
To the now familiar sight of the Pokemon Center, offering the nurse Wildfyre's Pokeball to heal her up with a chipper "Yes, please, thank you!", his tail perked up behind him as he waited the handful of minutes for them to dress and treat the Ponyta's injuries before handing her back to him, good as new.

Honestly, it was probably pretty close for whether Adrien had tapped the button to warp to the Poke Center first or whether Wildfyre had landed her hit against the Duraludon first, but in the grand scheme of things, it didn't really matter all that much - only that she was unconscious and unable to continue battle when his world resolidified in the flurry of bright colors to the Pokemon Center.
He unhooked her Pokeball again from his belt, passing it over to start the process of patching her up while he fiddled with his UI, only to pause at the clearing of the throat from the nurse and- Oh. Right. The Duraludon he'd caught. "Sorry," he offered her sheepishly, adding the Dragon-type's Pokeball to her hand as well.
He didn't exactly plan to use the thing, but if he had it... c'est la vie. Far be it from him to argue with a computer.

The moment he’d come out to the tents that were at a strangely convenient location on the Steppes, the attending staff inside gave him a frown.
“Yes, it was a Rufflet,” he began as he cut the nurse off, hauling in his Froakie who had maybe gotten in a little too much over his head.
“Yes, I’m going back for that Rufflet, I’ve got a fighter on my hands and they don’t want to disappoint me,” he added as he waited while the Nurse got to work, patching up his little proud warrior.
(He sincerely hoped he wasn’t going to become a regular here, however looking at things, he feared he might become a frequent visitor in these parts…)
All too soon his Froakie was ready to go again.
‘Sorry… I failed you.’
“Nah, don’t stress yourself out over it. What’s important is that you’re okay. Shall we—” he trailed off before the blur of blue literally sped out of the tent!
“Sorry, gotta catch up to ‘em!” he exclaimed as he ran out after his Froakie.

It was less than thirty minutes before they came back to the same Pokémon Center; him carrying the Froakie bridal-style this time.
The Nurse’s lips would purse together into an incredibly thin line before he let out an embarrassed chuckle of a noise.
“Yes, yes, I know, fucked up, sorry, we got steamrollered by that same Rufflet,” he added as he handed the blue amphibian over.
Boy this was going to be a silly escapade of going back and forth between that Rufflet and this place, wasn’t it?
