The rolling hills of the Surging Steppes have become a familiar sight over the past few months, be it due to her searching for iron ores, lambs, or steel dragons. Tuesday has had many reasons to come to this place, and although she will likely never know it as well as she has come to know the Timberlands due to her time exploring of the misty forest, there is something about the Steppes that has an appeal to her...
That is, of course, when it's not raining.
She doesn't have much time today, as the sound of a distant storm is quick to remind her. Soon there will be rain and thunder and lightning. Soon there will be winds so strong that her umbrella will be rendered useless yet again (repairing after last time had taken some effort). Honestly, how is it that she hasn't invested in a raincoat by this point?

She doesn't have much time, so a bird's-eye view is exactly what she needs to make every second count.
From a Pokéball, the enormous serpentine body of her Dragonair emerges in an elegant slithering motion, his sapphire scales shimmering as brilliant as ever. Orm looks as majestic as he always has, and now, right beneath the orb that marks his neck, behind where his shoulders would be if he had any limbs, the adorned straps of a saddle wrap around his body.
She pats the dragon's side, a gloved hand sliding down smooth scales until reaching the pommel of the saddle. She holds it firmly, pulling herself onto Orm's back with ease. Close to the ground as he is, the saddle isn't nearly as tall as it would be on the horses Mars is used to, and there's no need for stirrups or anything. They don't stay close to the ground for long, though.
<'Ready?'>
Tuesday can feel every motion: the movement of the serpentine dragon's muscles and even the way his chest cavity lightly expands with every breath. At this, she smirks.
"Fuck yeah."
That's all the dragon needs to hear to take to the skies, or rather... to rise right off the ground, leaving the soft grass of the Steppes a few metres behind — just high enough to get a better view. Is he... floating? Hovering? Levitating? Tuesday is not sure what to call it just yet, but it does the trick just fine.

The key is to hover high enough to not easily be noticed by Pokémon on the ground, but low enough not to lose any visibility...Which isn't all that hard to do considering the game's altitude restrictions. It takes them a moment, sure, but they eventually manage to find what they both consider to be the perfect altitude about two and a half metres off the ground (after a needlessly loud back-and-forth, of course), and without any airplanes or ships of any sort taking up the Steppes' precious airspace, their only concern are the Pokémon below... while keeping an eye for all those tall iron spires, of course.
<'There's a Ponyta there.'> Orm informs his trainer while slithering through the air.
"Eh... we don't need another annoying flaming horse."
Needless to say, the wild Ponyta doesn't take that too well... or at all...

Flames shoot up, but by that point both Tuesday and the Dragonair she rides are no longer paying attention to the Ponyta that furiously runs right below them. Still, somehow, the smallest of sparks manages to reach a single one of Orm's scales, causing a reaction from the dragon himself...
<'...Did you feel something?'>
"Hm? Nope."
It's not much of a reaction, but a reaction it is indeed, all while Tuesday herself is too preoccupied with using her hand to shield her gaze from the sunlight, mismatched eyes scanning the rolling hills below them. A bird's-eye view had been the right call, this is so much easier when not having to walk.

They hover slightly off the ground for some time without any sign of what they're looking for. There are other Pokémon, yes, because in the vast plains of the Steppes anyone is bound to encounter something eventually, but Tuesday and her dragon are in search of one specific thing...
<'T, look!'>
Cat ears perk up once more when Orm calls to her attention, and mismatched eyes fix on the fields below. There, on verdant grass, shine the silverish hues of duralumin — which is of course what one particular dragon's body is made out of.
"Holy shit, Orm... We found one! Let's go!"
A METAL SOUND rings threatening when the Dragonair begins his dive, and it's at that moment that Tuesday realizes that they're not the only ones that have their eyes on this living prize. Or, well, it's more like the Duraludon itself has its eyes on someone else, chasing them relentlessly through the grass...
Is that a Vulpix?!
Out of all people, Tuesday knows well not to underestimate small foxes, but what can this one do against a steel dragon? Clearly this other trainer doesn't know what he's dealing with. Obviously.
"Hey! Do you need a hand?!" She yells, Orm circling over the Duraludon while causing rain to fall from the skies.

This hadn't been the plan. Granted, spending time in the Surging Steppes had been nowhere in his plans for the day, much less spending that time running away from an angry dragon, but of course, Fern had wanted to do something fun, and maybe it's that adorable Vulpix face or the fact that he reminds Muin of one disarmingly handsome and dangerously excitable Kindler, but he had easily managed to convince Muin to come here.
They could have ran into any other Pokémon.
What are the odds of them ending up in this situation?!
Such are the questions the Gardener asks himself while the Vulpix rushes towards the dragon, a disheartened sigh escaping him while fingers reach to pinch the bridge of his nose.
One... Two... Three...
<'Uhmm... Muin... I don't think my EMBERS are doing much here..'>
Ah, yes, there it is.
"Of course not, Duraludon are not weak to fire."
<'What?! But it's made of STEEL!'>
Oh, sweet Fern.
Muin had half expected to have to grab his Vulpix and run away from the Duraludon, or worse... for Fern to quickly white out and end up having to carry him all the way to one of the distant shrines (according to r/UNOVR, apparently the one in the Steppes has mysteriously disappeared), but their saving grace comes in the form of rain and a question spoken from above.
Now, he has never been much for asking for help (or for interacting with people in general), but under these circumstances... having someone else jump in to deal with this angry dragon would honestly be pretty nice. And so, while Fern fruitlessly attempts to harm the Duraludon, Muin cups his hands over his mouth and replies:
"Sure!...If you don't mind."

Tuesday doesn't mind. Of course not! Because see, in the end, this is exactly what she's here for... No, not helping others, things like those are better left to the ones who want to pretend to be good people. Tuesday, though? Tuesday is selfish, and while on some days she may not mind lending a hand to a stranger, today her motivations are cash, cash, and nothing but cold hard cash.
"Alright, Orm! Eyes on the prize!"
<'Ha! We're gonna get so many bytes!'>
Almost equally as excited as the catgirl on his back, the Dragonair takes a dive, taking full advantage of the fact that the Duraludon is being distracted by a small yet fearless fox. The DRAGON RUSH makes sound and painful contact, but that is not the end. When serpentine dragon meets metallic dragon, Tuesday jumps down, her IMMOVABLE SPEAR having been summoned from her inventory.
She balances on the wild beast's back, managing not to get knocked off despite the fact that the Duraludon seems to be doing its best impersonation of a bull in a rodeo. The spear pierces through light metal, and then, Tuesday speaks the command word:
"ALEXA!"
Just like that, it is stuck.
Despite the Duraludon's every attempt to break free, the spear won't move an inch. It's fixed place, and the dragon is fixed in place with it.
"Attack now!" Tuesday tells Muin when jumping off the beast. "It won't move!"

She's like a wild creature. Muin isn't sure if he should be more impressed or worried, so instead he settles for just standing there and watching the show, blinking as if to make sure he isn't imagining this. He's not.
Had this person just... Jumped on a Duraludon's back and stabbed it with a spear?!
This is not the latest Monster Hunter VR game!
What happened to respecting the sanctity of the Pokémon franchise?! Tradition! This is supposed to be Pokémon fighting Pokémon, not people fighting Pokémon! Sure, UNOVR has trainer subclasses like Armorer and Black Belt, but—
<'Muin! Get out of the way!'>
"Oh, hell—"
The Duraludon uses a ROCK SMASH in a desperate attempt to break free, sending debris flying all over the place and almost hitting Muin. He barely avoids it thanks to the warning from Fern, who steps between him and the dragon and shoots out flames.
But, it's Fern who is hit by the debris, being knocked out cold in a matter of seconds despite the fact that the Duraludon isn't in great shape either.
"Fern...!"
"He will be alright." Muin reminds himself. "I just need to take him to a shrine, it's not like I lost him forever or anything."
Taking a breath, the Vulpix is called back, his attention then returning to the duo of catgirl and dragon. As per usual, he speaks with formality and impeccable diction:
"It would seem the final blow is yours."

A little fox, brave but as weak as it gets. Tuesday smirks when watching the Vulpix, reminded of when her own fox pokémon used to be that way. Granted, a couple of them are still pretty damn small, but that's something she plans to deal with eventually. It currently isn't a priority.
The priority right now is, of course, making bank, and the way to do that is right before her eyes.
"You got it." She grins in response to the stranger. He hadn't bothered to ask her name, and for now, she doesn't bother to ask for his either — they must clearly both realize that dealing with the Duraludon comes first. A Duraludon which now looks beaten and broken, barely able to stand. Good. "Orm, hit it."
All it takes is one last simple but devastating blow.
The smile remains upon the Alchemist's lips, positively grinning with perfectly white teeth.
Oh, sweet bytes.
Now, time to catch, and maybe a chat after that.
She brings out her golden pokéball, ready to strike...

Just like that, the not-so-dragon-looking dragon falls, and Tuesday attempts to catch it as if that had been her intention all along. It probably had. Muin would like to think so, at least — it's hard to believe that there's a lot of Good Samaritans in a game like this.
However, even though Tuesday throws her golden pokéball and even though everything points to a capture, the Duraludon remains, as if she had never caught it at all. Why? Well... Muin might just know. He had read about it in the forums: apparently, there's a feature in the game (a.k.a likely a glitch that the developers refuse to fix) where a copy of a wild Pokémon will be available for a second person to catch after the original has been caught. It's kind of common knowledge, but you know... Muin isn't exactly the kind of guy who usually goes around catching Pokémon with other people.
That's why the following question is asked out of courtesy alone:
"...Do you mind?"
It's not like Tuesday can catch this copy anyway, so...

"Sweet."Another Duraludon safely in her storage, ready to be delivered to Professor Ash for the sake of getting herself some good Bytes. Tuesday would go to Ash's camp right now if it were up to her, and she fully intends to at first. She even turns towards Orm the moment her golden pokéball is safely back in her hands, ready to climb on the dragon's back and get out of there. The stranger's question stops her and she turns to look at him as if she had just remembered he was here to begin with. It's the truth, honestly. Tuesday had gotten so caught up in her own plans that she had almost ignored him. But, of course, she doesn't reveal this fact, and it's with a radiant smile that she gives her reply: "Go ahead! You can make a pretty penny if you take that thing to Ash's camp... Oh, and don't forgot to stop by a shrine, the one here is kind of M.I.A right now." So helpful! So nice! Isn't she just great? Lovely and totally selfless... except for the fact that she had just come here to catch a Duraludon, and when she gets back on her Dragonair's saddle, Tuesday doesn't forget to add in some helpful self-promotion. "See ya around! Stop by Tuesday's T.E.A Shop in Briarbane when you get the chance! We've got great stuff!"She gives the stranger a wink as the Dragonair take off, only then realizing she hadn't even bothered to ask for his name. Oh well. Good thing the game displays them anyway. Muin it is, then.
