With the upcoming raid looming in, she needed to hang out with her Pokemon for a while before the inevitable. Since she hung out with her newly-evolved Crocalor a lot, this might be a good time to hang out with her other Pokemon. In this case, she took her Snom on a berry-picking trip. It would be a good idea since they're also gathering berries for Aero to cook for the other Pokemon. But as soon as she turned around after placing a few Sitrus and Pecha Berries, she gasped to see the small Ice/Bug-type Pokemon chowing down on the berries that were on the bush low enough for him to reach. "Oh, you little rascal." Aero walked to her Snom and gingerly picked him up before he could finish another Sitrus Berry. "I get you love berries, but really need to learn the art of waiting sometimes. If you eat all of the berries here, then there's nothing left for everyone else. And you don't want that, right?" Her Snom cried sadly. Seeing most of the berries almost gone made her wonder if he has the same gluttonous appetite as Coco. Either way, she smiled as she picked up her basket full of berries. "Tell you what. If I give you as twice as many berries, maybe you can help me taste some of the meals with the others and help us more with the support. Sounds good?" Hearing this offer, the Worm Pokemon happily cried to his trainer. "Good. Now come on. We got more berries to pick!" With her Snom on her shoulder, Aero took off to continue their berry-picking mini-adventure. Crystal the Snom's rarity has increased to Rare (+10)

She had fun bonding with her Snom in her first session and her focus on catching Pokemon and meeting other players took away her chance to do it again. Plus, she rarely had time with Crystal lately. So she decided to use this time to gather some berries again along with other things. So during the gathering session like before, Aero took the time to pick berries under her Snom's suggestion until her basket was almost full. It took an hour, but this gave her a chance to bond with him until the surprise. Eventually, she gently put down the basket now full of berries, and sat on the picnic blanket she prepared beforehand as she turned to her Snom on her arm. "Thanks again for helping me out, Crystal!" Her Ice/Bug-type Pokemon happily cried to his trainer. "As a reward for being a good bug, I have a surprise for you." Crystal's eyes widened in glee. "Cover your eyes and no peeking. I won't give it to you if you don't." Her Snom closed his eyes, eagerly waiting for his trainer's rewards. Aero then gingerly placed him on the blanket and rummaged through her inventory before pulling it out with a smile. "Alright. Open your eyes, little guy." Crystal followed her instructions. When he did, he cried at what Aero showed her. It was a light blue collar with a bell attached to it, which was long enough to wrap around its neck. Aero gingerly tapped the bell, giving off a gentle tone enough to soothe her and Crystal. Just seeing him smile was enough to let her know of his reaction. "Well? Do you like it?" Her Snom happily cried in approval. "Great! It cost a few Bytes for me to buy it, but I hope you like it. I bought it just for you." Aero then fitted Crystal with the said collar. "With the bell on it, I can hear you anywhere whenever we're a bit apart. So consider that as a gift of our friendship!" Her Snom let out one more cry of happiness. With the raid around the corner, Aero needed Crystal's help more than ever and with this gift and the berries they picked, she hoped it would be enough to motivate them to fight in the frontlines one more time. She hoped the World Event won't be as chaotic as the last one... And she hoped the boss wouldn't be as harmful as the Zapdos... Crystal the Snom's rarity has increased to Rare (+10)

Despite being assigned as a Tank, he protected her no matter how difficult the challenge and how riskier for him to endure it. So before the raid, she also took the day all for her first partner Pokemon. And what better way to do that was to partake in one of his favorite hobbies? It's not eating, but singing! "Craw, craw, craw, craw, craw~" "La, la, la, la, la~" "Craw, craw, craw, craw~" "La, la, la, la~" "Craw, craw~" "La, la~" "Craw, craw!" "La, la!" Aero clapped at her Crocalor as he bowed to his trainer with a standing ovation. Sure, the song they sang together was mostly original instead of the popular songs she knew in real life. But she was impressed to see her Pokemon manage to sing in his current form. According to his Pokedex entry in Violet, his evolved form could sing to the point he could fire flames from its future form's microphone. So seeing him sing as a Crocalor made her smile at his achievements. "That was amazing, Coco! At this rate, you're gonna evolve into a strong singer," she complimented. "By the way, do you know any other songs?" Her Crocalor hummed in thought for a while. Then he smiled and started singing again. This time, it's a song that resembles the Pokemon Center theme from Sun and Moon. She didn't even need to teach him one of the themes from her favorite mainline game at all. His song was so melodic, that it was enough for Aero to start singing along with him. Eventually, they spent the whole day in the game singing their favorite songs together. They didn't do anything productive to prepare for the raid, but Aero was happy to bond with her first partner Pokemon even for a day. Coco the Crocalor's rarity has increased to Very Rare (+15)

After the Hearteater raid, what better way to relax than to lie on the grassy field in Birchwild Grove? She needed it since there were a lot of ups and downs from the battle to the point her newly-evolved Frosmoth sacrificed himself to revive another. They won the battle, but she couldn't help but be shaken by it. She almost lost him at Thunderfall, so she felt guilty he had to faint again in this raid. If only she could upgrade further... If only she stopped him... Then maybe... <<Is something the matter, Aero?>> Her eyes widened to see her Frosmoth flying above her. Right... She recalled that she kept her Pokemon Speech function on this time to help her communicate with Buzzwole with her new subclass. She quietly got up from the ground her eyes focused on her Ice/Bug-type Pokemon. "It's nothing, Crystal. I'm just wondering if I could change the events of the last raid..." <<What do you mean?>> Crystal asked. <<We won the raid, right?>> "But not without you fainting again." Aero sighed. "This is the second raid you've fainted and it's all because you had to revive that Ultra Beast. To be honest, I feel kinda bad letting you get knocked out like that. Sure, you evolved and we managed to win. But as a trainer, I want to protect you..." Her Frosmoth hummed while staring at his trainer. <<You did nothing wrong, Aero.>> "Eh?" Aero's eyes widened at his answer. <<It's because of you that I've made my decision to help that Pokemon. I only did it because that's what you would have done. If you didn't let me, you might have done the opposite.>> "Done...the opposite." She couldn't believe what he said. Now that he said this, she wondered if she was the one at fault. "So if I didn't let you, you wouldn't save Poipole either way." She sighed in dismay. "I'm a selfish girl, huh?" <<In a way, yes. But you chose to let me do it instead of recalling me. It's because of you, we won.>> The Frosmoth bowed. <<And for that, I thank you for your selfless decision.>> Aero gave a small smile at her Pokemon. "No, thank you. You helped me learn that surviving in UNOVR isn't everything. We have to take risks to conquer our fears, right?" She looked up in the blue sky. "Maybe I should stop being protective and start getting proactive, right?" <<And be mindful of your surroundings.>> She chuckled. "Yeah, I agree." After a while, Aero and Crystal spent a few more hours staring at the blue sunny sky in peaceful silence. Crystal the Frosmoth's rarity has increased to Rare (+10)

Ever since the Hearteater raid, she has been learning more about what made the Ultra Beasts tick in UNOVR. One of those interesting tidbits was the cons themselves. They seemed to have a rarity of Invasive, which somehow deducted their attacks instead of buffing them. This was a huge problem when it came to battles and since her Contact subclass was low-level, she could not increase it outside of Refresh sessions. She was planning to do a Colossal Battle soon with Vonnie, so she didn't want to let its weakness become their burden for her second try. Of course, she didn't expect her first session with them was looking out for an egg she got from a Rookery. When she first mentioned it to them, she was panicking internally about how it might hurt the egg when it tried to help her warm it. But it assured her it wouldn't happen. If anything, it was her Buzzwole's idea to be with her for the session in the first place. Aero was still having second thoughts. But it would be better to take it than dooming herself from her panic thoughts. "Alright, Vonnie. Remember what we talk about," Aero instructed while carrying the egg in her arms. "You have to grip the egg when you try to warm it. Not too loose or too tight. Just enough so it could get enough warmth through your body heat." Her Buzzwole quietly nodded to her instructions. "Let's try rotating shifts every hour just in case. There's a chance I might doze off or check something from the shop. So you'll be in charge of the egg at the first hour, then me in the next, then you again at another, and vice versa. Just don't let the wild Pokemon get too close or we might have a problem." With those instructions out of the way, both of them started their shifts for the day with her starting off by hugging her egg gently. To her surprise, her Buzzwole diligently followed her instructions when it was their turn after an hour had passed. It didn't tighten its hug around the egg when it tried to give warmth and shoo the wild Pokemon nearby without unleashing an attack. It was supposed to be like an alien from another dimension and yet, it managed to protect it as if it had years of experience. Then as Aero was about to doze off after 4 hours of napping and roaming around the area, her Buzzwole gingerly shook her awake. "H-Huh? W-What's happening?" Vonnie responded by showing her the egg, still unscratched, yet it started to glow and shake. "No way... Is it starting?!" She took the egg from her Buzzwole and stared at it just as it hatched. It was a yellow feminine-like Pokemon with its "hair" being a big fanged maw. Mawile hatched from an egg! Aero's smile widened the moment she stared at the newly hatched Steel/Fairy-type Pokemon's eyes. Despite the heaviness of its typing, she was able to carry it with little issue. "Wow, it's much cuter than in the sprites and artwork." She turned to her Buzzwole. "Thanks for your help, Buzzwole. Looks like you do remind me a lot of my Dad sometimes. I can't say if it's because of the memories, but I still think you're like him sometimes." As soon as she said this, Vonnie's face blushed a much brighter red behind its stinger, much to Aero's surprise. Guess she found herself a real softie underneath its tough muscles. Vonnie the Buzzwole's rarity has increased to Common (+0)
