Things suddenly got even more crazy than it did before when the dinosaur (who @m'Foxy said was a Tyrantrum??) suddenly faded away into a room full of mirrors and mummies and shit, and then with players whacking said mirrors, the ground gave way and they fell down onto a slide that took them deeper and deeper. How they didn't suffer fall damage was a mystery, but Remmiel would take it, and all things considered, this slide was kind of fun! If he let himself not think about everything that had happened prior. Well, this was still a game, after all!
And then everyone landed face first onto the foam. Strangely...not suitable for the setting? What happened to the aesthetic of temples and overgrown forests or something? Also, they were in the dark, with very few artificial looking lights far far away from them. It was like they were in some kind of warehouse for some reason. No, wait, the light fixed itself into flames now. Okay? Was this a bug?
❝Guess we're way off from the exit at this rate.❞ he muttered mostly to himself, trying to climb out of the large foam blocks, but there didn't seem to be an end in sight. Even if these were harmless, they were tiring to traverse through, and at some point Remmiel had to take a quick break and lie down face flat on the foam. ❝If anyone has found the end of the foam blocks, please give me a direction to wade through. Sheesh!❞ Q3vE0Xge1d101d10 1d10·1d10

Angelo is escaping the mirrors when he hears the sound of his handle being called, spotting @nephilim being chased further down the hall. Strange feeling there — nervousness, because their last encounter had embarrassed him deeply (looking like a raving lunatic would do that to most), and anticipation, because that meant another UNOVR player he knew was wandering the event.
There’s the sound of shattering behind his ear and a familiar ape screech, and Angelo hits the gas, clutching his treasure as he continues. Another familiar thing occurs: small holes receding into the walls—a throwing weapon trap. But there’s no way forwards.
He looks to the left and sees instead a hatch. Shoving the monkey paw in his shirt again (and yes, it did stop feeling weird after the first time), Angelo squeezed himself through the narrow passageway, barely managing to avoid getting hit by a barrage of daggers.
His head pops out to a relatively safe room—only to feel something narrowly slam into the back of his head. Yelping, Angelo pulls back to witness two players shoot forwards, apparently having ridden a slide poised on top of the shortcut he’d taken.
The players are sent into a trap of foam blocks, Verai and @kallisto among them. “Ah, shit!” He pops out of the wall, and lands face-first in the pit. p9uKDTWg1d101d10 1d10·1d10

Try as he might, Pace just can’t find a way past this rubble. He can’t climb like a monkey can, and the debris itself is too heavy to move. Or maybe they just never intended for it to be knocked down in this way, and it was literally unmoveable. Ugh. So annoying, how the hell was he supposed to get out now? The only thing in here was him, his soon-to-be–fate at the hands of an Infernape, some rubble, and that lever on the wall, but none of that was-
…lever?
Man, he really was stupid. Or unobservant, at the very least. With a leap, he slams the lever down and waits for a second. Or two. Another few more.
“After all that, this thing does noth- ahhh-!!!” Pace’s shout echoes through the temple as the floor opens up beneath him and he falls, further and faster than he would’ve thought possible - but saying that, he was already well aware that this place didn’t play by any normal spatial rules, so how impossible could it be? He’s ready to hit the ground again, get his life eaten up by fall damage again, but when he lands, it’s on something soft.
“Whuh… is this… foam…?” He mumbles, dizzy from the fall, and as he blearily blinks his eyes he realises there’s… others here. @kallisto , Saint , Verai , strangers he hadn’t met before. And also ozone was here, again. “...Can you stop stalking me?” Pace rubs his head and tries to get himself upright, despite the awkward foaminess of the blocks surrounding him.
“...Are we near the end yet?” cLvIOIQl1d101d10 1d10·1d10

#s://i~imgur~com/KtqN1PJ~jpg "Oh shit, a foam pit!"In the order in which they had jumped into the slide, Oz is the first to fall onto foam blocks that are all to familiar to someone who enjoys obstacle courses as much as he does. He's soon followed by Stranger #1 ( Verai), AKA Old Grump, Stranger #2 (@kallisto), AKA Indiana Jones, Stranger #3 ( Saint), AKA Birdie, and then also ibis... AKA Pace. "Bro, what the fuck? I was here before you." He tells the latter, eyes rolling. Still, he chuckles, shaking his head in a 'Can you believe this fuckin' guy?' way while the others struggle to move among millions of cushiony cubes. There doesn't seem to be an end to the foam pit, it's the largest he's ever seen. "Yo. Guys, lie down on the cubes to make it easier to move. Rolling also works." He says this as if it were a fact, because to him it is — the method has been tried and tested. He lies down, gaze still searching. "Though... I can't see a way out. You think it might be under the foam?" Oz asks the others then, in a tone that seems to say 'Not it! You go check it out.'

Tarou pushed down a headache. He had been fine with the game earlier. It had been running, and climbing, and physical activity. Reasoning, quick thinking. This- this was just a pit of squares and the smell was bringing back distant memories of the one time he had tried to get Bria into gymnastics.
But worse han all that- there was squabbling. ibis and ozone were snipping, Saint was doing something to the foam with a little knife. @kallisto had... simply given up.
He had not before desperately wished for Kazuki to be part of a situation, but couldn't help but think maybe his perspective would be a boon.
"Everyone calm down," He said, trying to look for anything- and he squinted into the distance, at the firelit lighting-
To a large vat, and the ghost-things beside it. And he watched as they tipped the vat over, pouring something into what was clearly intended to be a foam block tomb.

Angelo didn’t usually care about height, but holy fuck. He’s in a pit of foam cubes and he’s sinking. Either this pit has deep spots, or he needs platform shoes.
He has to cling to something — which turns out to be a leg. “Oh, shit, uh, sorry,” he stammers to the guy who’s just — lying face down in the foam? Yeah, he feels that. And it seems the others in the group are in agreement.
But Verai has other ideas. The man calls for calm, only to suddenly yell for everyone to get out.
“Wh—what is that?!” Cement? The activators they use for slime ASMR? Dyed lava?
Angelo isn’t sticking around (pardon) to find out how creative the programmers can get. He starts pulling himself as best as he can through the pool—
—which is unfortunately not fast enough, because of aforementioned baby legs.
He is drowned and entombed in the foam pit.

#s://i~imgur~com/KtqN1PJ~jpg The problem with old people is that they never listen, which is ironic because they always demand that everyone listens to them. Oz rolls his eyes when a demand for calm is made, and upon the group's sudden realisation of the imminent danger they're in, he decides that this is every man for himself.Yes, he abandons the others (sorry, Birdie— I mean, Saint). Most of them have been moving more and are farther ahead, and thankfully, having stayed behind, Oz has enough time to put his theory to the test: he dives in a sea of foam blocks. If he's wrong, he'll lose a life. If he's right, well... No clue what will happen if he's right. He does know that at first there's nothing, though, and he finds himself feeling around the floor while all too aware of the sticky, slimy end that might await him. He's begun to lose all hope, hearing the muffled sound of others losing theirs, and then... then there's another lever. The pulls, and the floor opens beneath. Oz drops into the darkness, without enough time to mentally prepare for what comes next. VCreVqKb1-101-10 1-10·1-10

Tarou, in lieu of panicking or rolling his eyes at the demands of people who knew better than he did (ozone), managed to grab the edge of the pit and haul himself up, balancing on the slim edge as lives were lost (and more virtual tokens were subsequently paid). Poor kids. Anyway.
He made his way forward, towards the now-empty vat and the retreating specters- either they were guarding the exit, or something just as important. He'd nearly gotten to he doorway when he heard a soft, musical chime.
And a red bar appeared at the bottom of his vision. Tarou stared at it, trying to figure out what it was for, as something shifted and rumbled behind him, ancient prayers and stone reawakening.

Ughhh. He was too tired at this point (how did a virtual avatar get tired? Or was it because he was mentally exhausted? That seemed about right). Remmiel did hear about what the others were saying or snipping (that was the guy he got squished with, right? ozone was it?) or whatever, and he did hear about something being dropped on them. Did he have the strength to move at this rate? Even if he did, he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to outrun the lava-like substance, except it wasn't hot, it was just heavy.
❝This fucking sucks.❞
YOU DIED! You have one more life left! Try again? [YES] / [NO]
He shook out the nonexistent sludge from his clothes, still feeling how everything crawled and weighed on his virtual skin. Ugh. Terrible. He was going to have nightmares tonight for certain, and he thought the Piplup gig was bad. Honestly feeling like he wasn't going to be lucky here, he watched the last leg of players give it another try, running into that same damn temple for another random treasure and then getting chased by ear-splitting monkeys and all kinds of traps the game would throw at them. The developers must've had a fun time making this.
So he walked in, noting that the game was not as hostile to him until he actually grabbed a treasure, and there were still plenty of other players around that served as good targets. He grabbed a torch and then whenever he saw something flammable (like the monkeys) and tossed it. Things were starting to burn now, which he remembered was the original trainer class he picked before he shifted things around a bit (and also when the game decided to shift it for him). The flames somehow didn't die all that quickly, transferring from one monkey to the next, and the only ones unaffected were the ones that already had a flame on their head (how were they not burning the other monkeys? Was that flame just for show?)
Anyway, now it was just a ball of fire hurtling at him. Okay, he should really be running now. Let it burn some traps along the way, please! yMlmfEX51d101d10 1d10·1d10

When danger happens, Pace is usually one of those guys who looks out for everyone else first. He watched a car accident once where nobody was hurt but everyone was angry, and he'd inserted himself as a mediator just because he had nothing else to do that day. But that was the real world, and this is the fake Temple Run world where that kind of thing didn't matter much. Whatever ozone was doing, Pace wasn't having a part in drowning, because this crap seemed gross and dangerous.
This shit was cement or something bad and evil or whatever! He wasn't gonna lose another one of his precious lives to a saw-trap-ass ball pit!
Pace clambers across the foam, aiming for the edge of the pit. He just nearly makes it, hearing the sounds of Saint and @kallisto losing a life behind him, when he hears a clunk and the floor drops out from beneath him. Great - now he was going to fall, snap his neck, lose another life, and it was all... someone else's fault, probably.
But instead of dying, Pace lands on his feet with a resounding shock-silence, and then a "Nice!" Surely nothing else awful could happen down here in the scary, dark hole!
The floor grumbles and groans, and the wall behind them creaks in the darkness. There's a faint hissing sound, and then when the wall opens up, there's movement in the dark. In fact, there's a lot of movement. And more hissing.
As they enter the light that drips in from the foam-pit-area above, they're revealed: hundreds, a thousand maybe, of slithering snake pokémon, Ekans and Silicobra the most amongst the crowd. At their back, huge in the blackness of the dark back of the room, comes a hungry Seviper, flicking it's tongue out.
Pace doesn't even look at Oz when he says "Good seeing you dude" and bolts the opposite direction of the approaching serpentine hoard. nDc5NpLB1d101d10 1d10·1d10
