[ti]story[/ti] Find Professor Ash (invite only)

To be honest, Wolf wasn’t really sure what was going on. She never really paid attention to too much lore of most games, more interested in exploring and playing than following the story of it all. She understood the gist of it, but the full blown details lost her. Yet, the player played along. After all, what else could she really do? Hard shut down. What’s the fun in that?

The ex professors steely gray eyes stared into her inner most part of her soul, the player could almost feel it through the monitor. And to this, she winced at her glare and avoided eyes contacted for a few minutes. Yet as her mouth opened to reply, Ash already was speaking as if it didn’t matter what she said. Of course, it was all close to auto generated anyway so there was no point.

But the time the strange NPC was done, a prompted appeared before her ushering her to tell the professor of her abilities. Pale golden orbs flickered over them, frowning slightly at the thought that their where more abilities she could have but didn’t. Darn. “Well…” Wolf stared, her gaze met the professors, “For starters, I do have the ability to talk to pokemon.” The player paused, attempting to pick her words carefully to not give the whole ‘this was a game’ away. “I never had it before until arriving here. It’s quite nice, though sometimes annoying.” Her gaze rolled, remembering how much bickering she has done in the past with her pokemon. “I also… ah… noticed that my threshold for pain has been reduced. Like, things that normally would be super painful don’t hurt as much. Still hurt, but not as bad.” Pale golden orbs back on the professor, shoulders rose and fell in a casual shrug. “But I… don’t think I have any other abilities that are out of the normal.” Again, Wolf’s gaze adverted hers. technically, Wolf did have more. She herself never actually dies, just black outs or white outs or whatever. The player also could unlock more abilities the stronger she gets. Etc. Etc. But, that was normal. Wasn’t it?

The sounds of a pen feverishly scribbling on a piece of paper felt much louder than normal, causing Wolf anxiety through she tried not to show it. And in the end, it seemed that the Ex Professor wasn’t bothered by her lack of abilities she mentioned. In fact, she seemed satisfied by it and began yet another long rant before her ending words activated another prompted to appear before her to pick a side.

For the longest time, the hybrid stared at the two options. She wasn’t afraid of losing any of her pokemon. After all, it’s just a game. And really, Wolf felt that she had a strong connection with most if not all of her team. Of course, she would be heart broken but it is what it is. However, Wolf was never the type to join things blindly. And it felt wrong to join team plasma, knowing what she knew what it. Yes, it had the right mindset but execution was always nasty. She wasn’t interested in that. Honestly, Wolf just wanted to explore and have fun. The game is to be fun, and joining a team didn’t seem like fun. So, guess her answer was pretty obvious then. But in the back of her mind, Wolf wondered what joining would do to the game play. Sighing to herself, Wolf made her decision to RESUME GAME and the cutscene continued.

The ex professor seemed unbothered by her choice, suprising to her after all that god damn talking she did. In the next moment, Ash ushers her to the door going off yet another ramble that made Wolf feel guilty for some reason. This time though, the player was kind of relieved to be out of this kind of tense situation. She just wanted to play the game and have fun, stress wasn’t what she wanted. “See you around Professor,” Wolf playfully teased as the door slammed shut behind her. Well… that was a strange turn of events.
