[ti]closed[/ti]Dancing with the Stars (On Sand)

"Listen here Abs,"

Orion's blush deepened as she pointed it out, his gaze shooting down to her for but a moment.  "Dork's in glass houses need to invest in curtains before throwing stones out their shower."  A soft snicker accented the rythm of the music as he swirled once, twice, thrice more.  Each beat of their heart in sync with the thumping bass drum of the song playing.  The melody soft and somber, the lyrics had an ethereal air to them that both seemed to perfectly blend into the moment whilst defining its very core.  That was the only thing he needed to interject, at least for the moment.  

He really didn't dare open his mouth for fear of ruining the moment.  

Instead he let the music take them in an ambling path around the fire, circles upon circles, his footsteps blending together until it really looked like two sets of steps were dancing through the firelit sand.  It felt like an eternity, yet as the soothing vocals of Dan Avaidan Nerd Romeo extraordinaire faded into the night, soon to be replaced by another song he vaguely recognized did her look back down and catch her teary eyed face. 

"Hey now,"  Adjusting her slightly, he freed a hand to gently wipe away her tears.  "I'll have you know I did in fact see a sign that says no beautiful women are allowed to cry here."  As she cupped his cheek, he mirrored the motion and smirked.  "Im glad you're enjoying this, I'd be mad upset if I was the only one having a wonderful time." 

Oh fuck this was a date.

Not like, just any ordinary date either, where you matched on tinder and did something lame like coffee or a light lunch at Jasons Deli.  It wasn't even like a rousing game of putput or a movie.  This was like, a DATE date, the sort of shit you saw in hallmark movies where the business woman is gaslit by the spirit of Christmas to give up her girlbossing ways in order to start a family. 

OH FUCK.

"If you think I just have one dance in me you're clearly mistaken.  I had to get a vet license for these sick pythons,"  he'd flex slightly, smirk sparking to a fullblown grin.  "And let me tell you, these pythons don't have the proper permits for their sick guns either.  Needless to say, we're going till you tell me to stop or I fall on my ass.  Whichever comes second."
