“I’m looking for Pokémon that are either Water, Flying, or Dragon-type!” before swapping out to his standby, the ever-reliable Greninja who would come out screaming with a Hydro Pump attack aimed at the incoming flock of incredibly stubborn Pidgey!

“Geez, they just don’t know when to quit, huh?” he would muse as the firehose-like blast of water cut down the cloud of incoming pesky Pokémon.

"What about pseudo-flying types?" Shalin teased, referencing the myriad of Pokémon that could fly but did not have the typing that made their aerial prowess matter in combat. "Don't they count?" Her eyes shifted toward Alicia Westfield before returning to Altair . "No, I get it; everyone has their own preferences! It's just something to try once. I wonder if any Pokémon will grow on me because of this game."

One of the Pidgey flew toward Shalin with talons brandished, the girl ducking to turn the swoop into a glancing blow. She began to rub the spot where she was struck, trying to ease the sting away. "Flit, AERIAL ACE!" the squinting trainer ordered. With a loud drone from one of his wings, the Yanma sharply turned, slamming his mandibles into the bird's soft underside.

“How do you think I feel about the box size limit?” he groaned as the previous prompt disappeared, before being replaced with a new one—and hilariously he had just the one Pokémon that would fit this next prompt.

“There’s way too many Pokémon that fall under the Water and Flying-types, plus I have some favorites that aren’t even of those types, so getting those fifty will be a major pain!” he continued as he swapped out Hanzo the Greninja with a Purrloin that…

Well, if he were to share the story of how he’d acquired this Pokémon, they would be here for a day and a half. Because the cards had not been on their side!

“Go!” he would urge the feline Pokémon, watching as the blur of purple immediately went straight for the Pidgey that had made the emergency landing before leaping towards it and yowling like a cat normally would!

"My favorites don't really span one type, as much as some people think I love bug Pokémon," she remarked as the tower's prompt switched to one her starter Pokémon could fulfill. Saria was tired from fighting the Pidgey; she was on the verge of collapse. Even so, the Bulbasaur was the only grass-type she had.

Laughing at Alicia's comment perked the girl up. "I really just want to stress test the system. See what it could let me get away with. If all these bugs are really hidden features, as seems to be the dev approach, getting a fast mount not originally accounted for could wind up saving runners minutes in getting to locations you can't fast travel to."

The destructive Z-Move made Shalin gasp, able to feel feedback from the detonation of foliage surrounding the Bayleef. Few Pidgey survived the attack, but the ones that remained were irate, swarming the grass-types with wingbeats and talons. Drawing her VINE WHIPS, the Bulbasaur grabbed one of the stragglers out of the sky and hurled it to the ground. For the one she took down, three more slashed across her face, sapping the rest of her energy and incapacitating her starter. "Might be a sign we've been here too long," Shalin sighed. "Let's get our Pokémon and get out of here. Once we've all hit up a Shrine, maybe we can go to the cat tower? I'd love to saddle up some big cat Pokémon."
