[ti]private[/ti][C/Shalin] Fae Play

She legitimately felt like she was watching the equivalent of a train crash. This couldn’t possibly end well. She wanted to intervene, or at least look away. But she couldn’t, she was too transfixed on what was occurring.

Attempting to fixate on the greenette glitch hunter was an effort in futility. For one, which one did someone focus on? Alicia could’ve sworn she was seeing double, or even triple, of Shalin in the buzzing. The long and short distortions of her high-pitched squeal were not helping matters either. At least they seemed to be squeals of joy rather than cries of pain? Was there any limit at all to a Beta Tester’s stretching of the game reality’s rules!?

Yes, it turned out. While Shalin fid hold on for an admirable time, something had to give between her and the Ribombee. And as it turned out, it seemed that it was the girl’s limbs that gave way first. At least, from what Alicia could see. Maybe she glitched through from the velocity? Who knew, the result was the same regardless of the ‘why
. She went careening through the sky like she was launched from a trebuchet.

So sudden was her flight that Alicia was unable to respond in time, only offering a soft cry of concern as she raced over to kneel down and check the greenette over. Fortunately, though, she seemed fine in the end. And so Alicia heaved a sigh of relief. Waving to the faefolk, she commented softly, ”Thanks for the good times! Now I gotta get Shalin out of here. Who knows how long she’s going to be out.”

”Hang on!” the Ribombee called, fluttering up to her.

”Yeah, just a second!”

”You can wait that long, ya?”

”Um, alright?” Alicia agreed in confusion. The Fairies all giggled as they circled around, stepping on the earth around them. And where they stepped, more mushrooms grew, until Alicia and Shalin were ringed by them. ”… What’s this for?”

”To let others know you’re a friend to us! And give you a chance to talk it out later!”

“Just be careful, some fairies are bored enough to mess with you anyways.”

“But at least it’ll make it not so nasty!”

“Come back again someday, both of you!”

”Alright, thanks!” Alicia called back, waving a hand as she carefully picked her way out of the Fairy Circle that they’d made for her and Shalin. After making sure the various members of the greenette’s team were collected, she made her way out with unconscious friend and all their Pokemon in tow.

She had no idea when, or even if, she was going to come back here. But at least they fae were happy with how the day went. Could she complain about it?
