TRAINER STARS
think you deserve a gold star? we do too! Players can now unlock TRAINER STARS to display in their miniprofile! Trainer Stars represent individual accomplishment as well as knowledge of the regions, mechanics, and secrets of UNOVR. There are currently three stars (Staryu) that can be unlocked, with more to come.
The requirements to unlock each Trainer Star are different. Each represents a different kind of game progression, which may include mechanics, story engagement, or contributions to the site. Trainer Stars do not have to be unlocked in order, though you may find the difficulty of achieving each star does increase.
Achieve any 10 of the listed tasks to claim that Trainer Star!
Optionally, achieving all of the required tasks will unlock a shiny Staryu!
For aesthetic purposes, players who wish to evolve their Trainer Stars can do so by purchasing a Water Stone in Mod Requests for 200 Bytes. This will evolve one Staryu into a Starmie.
IC, your character may play with their Trainer Stars like tamagotchi in their User Interface.
 ONE STAR
The requirements for One Star are linked to basic site mechanics. Trainers naturally interacting with the basic functions of UNOVR (both IC and OOC) will find that they have some, if not all, of these requirements already complete! Unlocks: Guilds

TWO STARS
Holding Two Stars marks a trainer as more intermediate. These players have interacted with less common functions of the site as well as mechanical ones, including Pokemon Battling. You may not be an expert, but all the right pieces are in place. Unlocks: Gifting (1/mo)

Trainers with Three Stars have participated beyond just mechanics. They've met many different people, engaged with the game's storyline, and have felt the sting of defeat along with the warmth of victory. Unlocks: [tangent=The Golden Great Ball allows you to catch Wild Pokemon at 50 HP or below rather than the usual 10%, and increases your maximum Pokemon Box storage by 15.]Golden Great Ball[/tangent]

TRAINER TITLES
roleplay prompts and goals to work towards!Along your journey, you may find yourself earning certain TRAINER TITLES for fulfilling certain criteria in roleplay. Each Trainer Title's requirements are unique to that title! You may select which of your titles you want to display in your miniprofile.
More titles will be added as new areas, features, and gameplay are added to the site.
IC, when you unlock each Trainer Title your PC also receives its canonical outfit as well as +10 Arena Points that can be used to shop for items in the Arena Shop!
When you have unlocked a Trainer Title, please notify MOD REQUESTS and then post in this thread using this code:
