Crash sat down behind Josh, bumping snouts with the tiny Lillipup. Though it relaxed the normal-type's nerves some, his yipping frustrated Josh a bit as he cast his line. "He's the same Crash you've always known, Isamaru," the boy reassured his canine friend. It was an unsettling sight, seeing a Boltund so large, but he was confident the smaller dog would adapt.

Feeling a tug on his pole, the boy set the hook and began reeling his catch in. While there was one particular Pokémon he was looking for, he also had a job he was working on for a certain Aviator.

Isamaru, too, began to grow in size, though to not nearly the Boltund's stature. Roughly two-thirds of Josh's height, the Herdier bumped into Josh's arm just as he was reaching for bait for his hook. "Told you it would be your turn soon! And I get the feeling you're going to evolve again in the near future!"

After giving the normal-type a gentle pet, he cast his line back into the sea with one arm, cuddling the big dog with the other. "Such a good boy..." he mused, even Crash letting out a whimper of affection.

With a single electrified TAKE DOWN, thanks to Josh's BOLTER class, Isamaru trampled the helpless Magikarp. "So that's what Never Normal means," Josh mused as he hurled his Golden Poké Ball toward the black, motionless fish. "So once you master a class, your Normal-type attacks become that type. That's really good to know."

So far, nothing interesting had shown up, though he would send Altair a message describing the black Uncommon Magikarp he had caught. Packing up his rod, he withdrew the rest of his team, saddled up his Dewgong, and changed locations. Riding toward an isle, he expected the spawns to be different farther away from the main island.
