and they will come [ building ]

Furrlicity didn't expect to be too involved in this Settlement Dev stuff. But he head heard some whisperings on the wind of things players were already building. A Saloon? Really? No housing, no clinics, no place to buy food or items? Sure this was a video game but had they no sense of proper world building?

At least one person had the right idea.

Furrlicity made sure to slap pawbrey pawtini on the back right as he was super into his weird mini-game.

"Sup, slut. Thought I'd never see you in the flesh." He grinned at his friend and gave a wink, the tail of his character model swishing and curling. "You ready to make the best building in this whole damned settlement?"

At his feet was a black and red cat. She sniffed curiously at Pawbrey before sticking up her nose at him- and her trainer.

< It's not nice to call people names, Purrfection. > Huffing, she pawed at the log that Pawbrey was playing with. His mini-game screen would light up, startling her, proclaiming a 'Poke-Friend Bonus!'.

"Yeah, I do. It's a hangover from... from C0D13's work. From what I heard, a lot of bugs regarding a few different Litten came in. They all went to C0D13, and the thick bastard thought it a grand idea to ban the whole species because of that. You think that should've been the first red flag about the guy, but hey." Lucky hands did not cease to work on the plank shearing, even as it was explained what these planks would actually be used for. It's not as if Lucky was making the planks for himself, after all-He needed furniture, not the very basic frameworks. If he was going to make something he couldn't use, it was good to hear that there was a reason for it.

By the time he'd finished this current plank, the pile he placed it on was higher than to be expected. He'd made at least ten of the things without even realizing it. He couldn't tell if this was a good pace or not, but it sure seemed like he'd made a lot of planks in a short time. The planks weren't of the mythical Shiny quality that the building tutorial supposedly said was what all the hip, stylish buildings were going to use. They did come in bulk, though, and that had to be precious in someone's eyes.

Furrlicity nods as he listens to the explanation that Lucky Guy gives. He hadn't known about that. Or maybe Finnegan Fjord had told him and he didn't really understand it. It was before he started playing, after all. The messages ping into his list and Furrlicity closes them without a word. This wasn't the right thing to make some huge deal over, especially since someone who didn't understand their circumstances (he assumed) was right here with them. Lucky was cool but Furrlicity didn't know if he was in the Chronic Pain Gang or not of the player-base.

"I've been playing since the Beta. I started it pretty late and didn't get to fool with it as much." Even thought Furrlicity had earlier said he wasn't helping pawbrey pawtini at all, now he walked over and started to pick out a framework for the building. After picking one he liked he popped it into place; the building would be huge. The ghostly silver outline showed up, see through for now. A task bar hung over it, showing how many of what objects they would have to throw at the thing before it was considered complete.

"Okay, so this isn't too bad." Drawing attention away from Pawbrey the best he could, Furrlicity walked over and picked up a few of the planks. He sat them close to the building which sucked them up. A few planks were now in place, solid, but the rest of the building was still that milky white clear. "We can upgrade it later or do a custom one when we want. I think just getting one up is important."
