LOOKING FOR EGGS! searching... It's Summer Time! Streams of crystalline water trickle down the Rookery tower, collecting at the bottom in calm pools filled with water Pokemon and pool toys. To beat the heat, even the eggs have been outfitted with water wing(s) and safety inner tubes to prevent them being bumped too hard or sinking to the bottom of the pool.
Instead of aggressive competition, the Pokemon in the pools are happy to share their new wet, eggy, friends, as long as you play some games with them first!
Arm-wrestle the Poliwrath, make the Buizel laugh, or play a high-octane game of Spheal-ball. Anything that injects some of that Summer fun into the pool!

Water flowed freely down the spire that led into a reverse heaven-a land from which new life where was born, rather than a final resting place. Sometimes, at very odd occasions, an egg would freely descend with the waterfall-shaped rain. No harm came to them, even when they struck the surface. It seemed that those inner tubies were made by the gods themselves...
Not that Lucky was one to think about such things-especially not right now, not when his life was in danger. Lucky was stuck in the most intense game of his life-that of marco polo. There was a simple problem with just playing marco polo in the pool, though. The other Pokemon playing this game were Gyarados.
"P-Polo..."
The crash of a titan's wave-fall could be seen in the distance. Forty feet in length of a rolling serpent crashed through the waters that Lucky had once thought weren't very deep-until now, that is. The thunder of the serpent's charge in some direction likely drowned out most of the trainer's call, but that was something he was thankful for. Maybe the beast wouldn't find him like this...
Yet the Gyarados gave another furious roar. It expected another 'Polo'. Lucky had to oblige and pray once again that he wouldn't be desperately swimming against the tide of a white-out instead of just the tide of the splashes that the giant serpent made in the pool. The Gyarados was getting closer, too. Lucky knew that he couldn't last forever...

Big Bee paddled through the pool, treading water, heart pounding and wide eyed as he waiting for the next roar of MARCO! from the Gyarados. They could do that in this game, apparently, and he had never felt the bite of fear more keenly than when playing a children's game with a hungry serpent.
The Gyarados swam through the crystalline water, and he pulled his legs up, hoping against hope that it couldn't sense the movement of his feet in the water over the crash and rush of the waterfall. It surfaced, eyes closed as it sniffed around for the trainers.
Big Bee floated over to Lucky. He had a plan. "On three we dive, okay?" Big Bee whispered, giving Lucky a knowing nod. He'd played his fare share of games in the pool and out on the waves, and if there was one thing he knew it was how to 'play by the rules'. "One...two..." he paused, watching the Gyarados' jaws. An egg floated by and he nudged it, sending it spinning across the water towards their seeker.
The beast opened its mouth to call marco, and Big Bee hissed "three!" in Lucky's ear, dunking himself under the rushing water to avoid having to say polo and give away his position.

Momo stood at the edge of the pool, hiding her body with an oversized plush towel one of the Breeders had given her and glowering at the Rookery Tower. It was one thing that there was a tower filled with Pokemon Eggs. She would jump at the chance to raise her own Pokemon from an egg, coaching it each step of the way, raising it like a true warrior instead of like a sensitive wannabe art cricic (like her Treecko). With a young one's development in her hands, she had iron faith that it would grow into something worthy. The problem was the pool. And the default swimsuit for her character type/build being very revealing. Momo had expected a default blue one-piece like they wore in school, but perhaps because this was a foreign game, they'd given her a bikini. Struggling into the pool of water at the base of the tower, Momo resolved that if she could hide under the water, nobody would mock her. Why couldn't it be something normal? she thought desperately as she quickly submerged herself neck-deep. Or at least something cute......Unfortunately, the moment Momo chose to enter the pool was the exact moment that Lucky Guy and Big Bee dove, following the previous 'MARCO.' Nearby Momo, a giant fin passed her like a great sail, cutting through the water as Gyarados swam by, searching for them. Momo quickly swam to the other side of the pool with strong, powerful strokes—or she would have, but her UNOVR avatar was much smaller than her real-life counterpart. Short arms and legs. Momo braced herself, turning to face the gigantic head of the beast. I am not afraid, she steeled herself, then her voice rang out. "Polo!"There was a spray of seafoam and loose eggs as Gyarados whipped around eagerly to face her. Serpent and swimmer met in the middle, then Momo disappeared for a moment into the monster's mouth. A moment later she reappeared in a waterfall as she slid back into the pool, released safely. Despite herself, her eyes were wide and her mouth seemed clamped tightly shut. The Gyarados was watching her. It blew some bubbles questioningly. Momo understood. She closed her eyes. "Hm. Very well. Marco!" She heard fin splashing sounds and an answering roar as the leviathan tried to hide in the pool. Now the question was - should she catch the Gyarados (easy to do, considering its size) and put them back in the same predicament as before? Or should she seek out her fellow humans?

Lucky had found that, while Big Bee 's plans were working, that he didn't like to follow them very much. The sight of the endlessly flowing scales of the serpent beneath the waves was unpleasant in a way that he couldn't compare to anything else. It reminded him of flowers blooming beneath the surface. Jaws within petals seeking to-- He surfaced despite himself. Lucky felt that he couldn't breathe for a moment. He found that the Gyarados was traveling back to the waterfall to drop someone off. He'd caught somebody? Lucky had yet to see another person, and yet here they were, placed gently to the ground next to the water's edge by deceptive jaws. The sight eased his nerves-there was no cruel Gyarados here. This one now reminded him of Selma, in a way. As he had been thinking to calm down, the girl had jumped eagerly back into the pool and called 'Marco'. Lucky cursed underneath his breath, but not too much, for he had to call "Polo!" as soon as he was able to. But the irishman was undaunted by the new challenge-he had lived on the coast his whole life! Lucky would like to see this girl try[/] and catch him!
Lucky pointedly ignored how he was usually either out in the city or shut into his house. He was totally a better swimmer-coastal people just had it in their blood.

Is this what they call fan service?
It has to be, right? Like, there’s no actual reason for every female avatar to be out here wearing a revealing bikini, yet both her and Momo seem to be stuck with no other outfit options. Tuesday almost feels sympathy. Almost, because at the end of the day, she just doesn’t care enough.
She still looks good and that’s what matters!
With that in mind, while everyone around her kept themselves entertained with some weird game of Marco Polo involving a giant snake, she had been chilling on a pool tube – enjoying the warmth of the sunlight and watching eggs idly float by from time to time. It had been nice. That is, of course, until a wave caused by the Gyarados passing by had messed it all up…
"Wha–" Startled, Tuesday holds onto the tube for dear life, taking a moment to regain composure and then shaking water off her hair. Isn’t she supposed to be a cat, not a dog?! Anyway, with her relaxing time now ruined, there’s only one thing left to do…
"Polo!" She joins in before swimming away. Mars is usually a damn good swimmer, but Tuesday… Well, Tuesday isn’t nearly as strong and has much shorter limbs. Oh well, it sure won’t stop her from trying!

Lucky noted how a new player decided to join into the games as soon as the raging dragon of myth was no longer appointed as the seeker. He also noted how, like every other girl hed seen around the pool today, the lass-that was Tuesday, wasn't it?-was out in a swimsuit as well. Was it mandatory for people around here to wear them during the summer, or were people simply as eager to wear 'fun' outfits as as people in any other MMO were wont to do? Lucky felt a strange validation in his choice to put on a male avatar for this game, though it was mostly because he looked so good in a pair of trunks.
He couldn't greet the lass properly, as they were matched up in a battle of wits and swimming skill and couldn't say anything that wasnt 'polo'. Lucky opted to wave a hand instead, followed by the most enthusiastic thumbs up he could give her. Lucky meant to say 'welcome aboard!' with this gesture, though he would let the girl draw whatever conclusion she wanted from it. After all, every bit of brainpower she spent thinking about it was a bit not spent on playing Marco Polo, which was truly a boon for Lucky Guy.

Some guy waves at her. Oh no… Is she supposed to know who he is? Is it someone she has met? Did she forget him? While swimming, Tuesday squints in his general direction, reading the name displayed over his avatar. Lucky Guy. Well.. That’s kind of vague, isn’t it? And yes, she’s aware that that’s ironic when coming from someone who named their character after a day of the week…
Wait a minute!
He’s totally trying to distract her, isn’t he?!
Aha!
Two can play that game!
Exercising critical thinking and in an action that’s not at all impulsive and silly, Tuesday pauses and grabs a beach ball that just so happens to be floating near her. She lifts it over her head, and with all of her avatar’s strength, she tosses it straight towards Lucky.
A perfect distraction! Now, to swim away and win this game. Admittedly, she may be a little too competitive, but you know what they say…
All is fair in love and Marco Polo.

Big Bee lurked under the water, his eyes clenched shut as he listened to the muffled calls and splashing from above. He was a genius. Despite Lucky Guy's reservations this really was the best strategy for marco polo, and he should know, being seven time inter-school marco polo champion! Between his extreme lung capacity, his Swimmer class, and his catfish like reflexes, Big Bee was certain that they would never catch him. The only problem was seeing!
After about a minute, it started to seem unfair. Was using his Swimmer powers cheating? No way, right? Well, just to be sure he should probably surface every now and then. Even if you have a guaranteed win in the bag, the chase is half the fun, right?
He surfaced silently, like a crocodile gently breaking the surface of a pond. Eyes still closed, he took in a deep lungful of air. His genius plan had worked! By avoiding the call of 'marco' he had rendered himself completely invulnerable! Now all he had to do was-
The beachball thrown by Tuesday BOUNCED off the side of his head, ricocheting away with an obnoxious noise. "Bah! What was that?" he screamed, wiping the water out of his eyes. "Am I it? Did you get me?"

Playing in the water in a swimsuit with a bunch of Pokemon. Seemed normal enough. Especially considering most of her normal outfits for this model seemed to be... fit for the ocean. And her original class selection had been the water one? Probably? But now she was swapped over to the charmer. Meaning it was fairy type. And she had to admit she really liked this one more.
Sitting on the edge of the water she held on to a small little oshawott's hands (paws?) as it kicked gently, trying to get used to the pool of water that it was swimming in. It seemed as though it was a baby one and still getting used to wide open pools rather than just the kiddie ones. It reminded her of when Wesley was still learning to swim. Though he'd been yelling a lot more.
"See, little kicks and you'll get it in no time!" The Oshawott yawned and spit a little bit of water up into the air. Cute. But not what they were here for really.

"She's not it and she didn't get you," Momo said neutrally, swimming past the newly-surfaced Big Bee with her eyes closed. The flowers in her hair seemed to enjoy the water. "That was a beach ball." She could tell from the sound. While it would have made sense to just go for the easy target right next to her, it also would have been opportunistic. She had decided to abide by the rules of this game, and the rules dictated going after targets who'd cried ' polo'. After all, there were many people swimming around with the water Pokemon around the base of the Rookery— like diva— and not all of them were as eager to be assaulted by Gyarados as the four of them were. Momo swam towards Tuesday, following the trajectory of the beach ball she'd heard. Use your other senses, she thought in the dark as she swam. The world seemed to refine around her. The splashes, the Pokemon cries, the cheerful chatter around the edges of the pool. All of it was connected by water, each person and Pokemon. Momo broke apart the tapestry of sound and sought a single thread— the body at the end who'd cried 'polo.' She felt a disturbance in the water and realized she'd almost swam straight into Gyarados, who'd been trying to hold very still in the pool. It roared in delight as it wiggled away from her, not realizing her true target was just behind. "Aiyaaaaaaah!"The sudden current gave her the momentum she needed, and she attempted to 'tag' Tuesday by grabbing blindly for her arm.

Laguna could not help but smile incredibly widely at the sight. Swimming at a pool. When was the last time she was able to do this in real life?
Years and years ago, it must have been. Going to a pool now was just such an ordeal. They'd have to have a handicap-accessible pool, and it was often this incredibly silly chair arm thing where she couldn't really swim, or perhaps her just sitting on the edge. But here? There was no reason to dwell on topics like that. Especially when her Brionne was slapping her in the face with her fins to snap her out of it!
"Oh, Marina!" Laguna laughed, finally sliding into the water's edge, her cute frilly swimsuit puffing up a little bit around her. It almost matched the Brionne, even! "Sorry, sorry. I know. You want to play ball, don't you? Go on! Have fun, my dear!" Meanwhile, Laguna would simply enjoy kicking her legs about for a bit. The cool water just felt too nice to resist. Immediately, the Brionne clapped in excitement, diving under the water and zooming around with endless energy! Suddenly picking up the beachball that had bounced off Big Bee on its nose, it practically balanced atop the water. Unaware of what kind of game the others were playing, it simply bounced the beachball back towards its source, Tuesday, chirping and clapping all the while!

In her own ever so wise opinion, hiding behind the Gyarados had been a brilliant idea. Like… obviously if someone were to run into that huge thing with their eyes closed, they would want to get as far away from it as possible, right? Right!
However, Tuesday had not anticipated the fact that the pokémon would just swim out of the way. What the hell?! Et tu, Gyarados?! Ugh, can’t rely on anyone these days!
Momo is closer than what she had expected, and she has to press her lips together for the sake of avoiding unnecessary cursing that would make her location too damn obvious. She ducks to avoid the raven haired teen, and then… then the beach ball she had just thrown only a moment ago hits her in the head (Thanks, Laguna's Brionne).
Seriously?!
Is there really nothing she can rely on in this game?!
Well… apparently she can rely on it to make her feel like she’s drowning, for one, because Tuesday falls face and in the process she totally bumps into Momo. Wait… that means she lost, doesn’t it?!
”Ah… Fuck it!” She exclaims once composure is regained, and after giving Momo one frowning stare, her eyes are shut and her hands are cupped over her mouth. A single word is lowly yelled:
”MARCO!!!!”

Manish very carefully made his way around the edge of the pool. There were quite a few people around playing with various pokemon and while he would normally stand awkwardly to the side and wait for someone to acknowledge him, he really hoped no one would see him this time. He still really hadn’t figured out how to swim and was fairly certain his lack of knowledge in real life would transfer over to a lack of knowledge in UNOVR. So just to be safe he kept himself to the edges.
After finding a nice sunny spot, he carefully sat down at the edge of the water, rolled up his pant legs and stuck his feet in the water. Yeah, this was nice, this was the exact level of interaction he wanted with water. He spent some time happily sitting in the sun, watching the others play, until he heard a splash nearby.
“H-hello?” He whispered, but there was no response. He leaned over to look into the water to be met with a stream of water getting shot directly into his face. Manish spluttered and flailed backwards. “What? What the heck…” he tried to wipe off his face, “what was that?” He was once again met with no response. Once again he carefully leaned over the water, only to be met with the same fate.
Face and shirt now dripping wet, Manish scrambled back from the water. “What is, um, hello? What is, that’s not uh, nice? I mean, what?” A moment passes before the small head of a Buizel popped up from the water and gave him a cheeky grin. “Oh. Were you? I mean, did you do that? That uh, that’s not very nice. In fact, I would almost call it ru…” But Manish scolding was cut off by another face full of water.
“Hey!” he crawled back towards the water to grab at the Buizel, only for it to dive under the water and swim a bit away before coming back up and shooting more water at him. “Get uh, get back here!” Manish called, still firmly staying on dry land.

"Polo!"Treading water backwards, the dark-haired girl attempted to put distance between herself and Tuesday. Her face felt warm and tingly and she realized a moment later it was from smiling. When did that happen? She grabbed onto one of the rails to anchor herself and held still in the water, trying to become invisible. Waves lapped around her midriff, determined to splash and warn Tuesday that she was there, but she willed them to be silent. This had started as a game of finishing commitments and training, but the longer it went on, the more Momo found herself loosening up. Enjoying herself. Having fun, especially now that she'd finished being "it." She held back a girlish scream as Tuesday passed nearby her, covering her mouth with both hands. An egg also passed by her, pale pink and ensconced in a floral inner tube. Something about it, so small and cute and vulnerable, made Momo reach forward and pluck it out of the water. Almost as soon as it touched her skin, it began to glow. "Eh—?" she managed to force out, eyes wide, as heat and light collected in her hands. The egg's pale pink shell fell apart, revealing a tiny, round pink Pokemon inside the inner tube. Its eyes were closed, but a moment later they blinked open and the baby Pokemon began to slowly lift off into the air. "Wait!" Momo managed to make a grab for it, catching it before it could soar into the sky like a helium balloon. "Don't go! You've only just... hatched," she finished lamely. In all the commotion she'd forgotten about being quiet and would probably get caught again for the next round of Marco Polo, but that was all right. She would permit herself to have a little fun and wonder in this world, if it meant experiencing something like this.
