“Hello Professor!” The teen hollered as she skipped into the tent with the Beautifly perched atop it. “How are you? Nice setup you’ve got here!” Finding Ash seated behind her desk, she sidled up to it, hands pushed into the pockets of her hoodie. The earth outside the tent was well worn by this point – looks like the professor has had plenty of visitors since setting up here!
Before she could go on, a rumble of thunder shook the air outside, and the teen shot a glance over her shoulder. Great, it was raining. Again. “What's with the weather here, anyway?” She grouched. “It always seems to be storming.”
A moment passed. “Oh!” She gasped as she remembered why she was even here in the first place. “I have some steel types for you.” Stepping closer to the desk, she placed three pokeballs on the surface. “These any use to you?”

The driving rain beat down from the sky, but Taylor had come prepared, this time. She’d finally managed to track down somewhere to purchase an umbrella, so rather than making the mad dash to the shelter of the field tents in the downpour, today she strolled over nonchalantly.
That was, until a particularly strong gust of wind caught the bloody thing and promptly blew it inside out. “SHITSHITSHIT!” She cursed, instantly drenched to the bone and dashed into the tent.
“Well, there goes my casual entrance,” she grouched, trying to turn the umbrella right-side out and accidentally popping it open indoors instead. Grumbling something about bad luck, she eventually managed to wrangle it back into its collapsed form. Dripping all over Ash’s floor, she then made her way over to the desk.
“Got some more for ya, prof,” she explained, placing three slightly soggy pokeballs on the desk and grimacing at the water she was leaving behind. “Sorry about the floors,” she added sheepishly.

As much as Tuesday may treat UNOVR as the game it is, respecting other people's work is important to her, and that much also extends to NPCs. During her past visits to the field lab, she had noticed that Ash seems to be even busier and more stressed as of late, so this time, when she steps into the professor's tent, she quietly waits for her to have a moment. While waiting, five Pokéballs are placed on the usual table: a Duraludon, a Magnemite, and three Klink. "So, about your plan to bring the Giant Shrine back..." She begins once the professor has a moment to spare, her tone calm and her smile pleasant. She tilts her head, cat ears twitching. "It's likely that we'll end up having to fight Zapdos, right? That won't be an easy fight... I'll prepare, but it sounds like we're gonna need a hell of a lot of help if it comes to that."The prospect of a boss battle fills her with excitement, but this doesn't show when Tuesday talks to Ash. Her composure remains unbroken for now, matching her ever nonchalantly confident attitude. "Oh... And that might be how to activate it if it's not active already, right?" Tuesday adds then, pondering on the matter. "Like... From what I've seen and heard, shrines usually become active thanks to people's actions, right? Praying and sacrificing and all of that. If a bunch of people work to bring the Giant Shrine back, it might do the trick."It's more like 'players' instead of 'people', but even someone like Tuesday appreciates the game's story and lore enough to have the deference of speaking in immersive terms with the professor. It also helps that she actually really likes Ash. Tuesday gives the professor 1X Duraludon, 3X Klink & 1X Magnemite

The second time Yuze steps into Professor Ash's field lab, he has not spoken to Cygnus just yet, although one could say joining Mythstar had been some sort of a first step. He hasn't return to Mistra either, even if he plans on it, but he has spoken to Dr. Bunya and and this corruption parasite of his now exists well fed and upgraded. "Hello, professor." He starts off with a greeting, a Duraludon's Pokéball being placed on a table. "The last time we spoke you called corruption a curse or a disease..."Yuze doesn't believe in curses, not even in a game like this one, but he dislikes the thought of a disease. That something like that could still affect him in a digital space is... infuriating, frankly. Yes, there's computer viruses and so on, but that's different, isn't it? "If it's chronic and those affected have no choice but to live with it, do you think there's a way for them to... benefit from it, so to speak?"It would make sense, right? If corruption is just another mechanic of the game, then maybe there's some benefit to being affected by it. Unless it's not. Unless Hydance never meant for it to be that way. What are the odds, though? ʏօʊ'ʟʟ ռɛʋɛʀ ɢɛȶ ʀɨɖ օʄ ʍɛ. The voice laughs in the back of Yuze's mind, each syllable burning and sizzling like a drop of acid: painful and corrosive. He tells himself to ignore it. He tells himself to never break composure. It didn't say I can't, it just said I won't. They both know the voice isn't wrong. Yuze GIVES THE PROFESSOR A DURALUDON

“Deliiiiiivery~!” The teen sing-songed as she skipped into the tent once more. “Got another two big boys for you and a little gear-looking guy!” No, she hadn’t forgotten Klink’s name, thank you very much. Not at all! With a silly bow, she placed the three pokeballs on the professor's desk.
“Say, can you give us a hint of how many more you need for your project?” She asked after a moment, trying (and failing) to sound casual. She was fully expecting a resounding no in answer, but it couldn’t hurt to ask, right?

“Still haven’t got that Sunny Day attack yet,” Taylor says, seemingly out of the blue as she enters the tent. “But the weather decided to save your floors the soaking today!” With a grin, she places down two more pokeballs on Ash’s desk. She really did need to take the prof's advice on that - it'd make exploring this area much less damp!
“Just a flying visit to drop these off, Professor!” She adds, not hanging around for too long this time before heading back out with a wave.

It’s a long time before Kazuki returns. This time, he steps through the tent surprisingly unbattered—fresh from the shrine and from his last encounter, yet there is still something undoubtedly wrong.
He doesn’t smile or offer some kind of quip as he meets the Professor, doesn’t even drop the ball containing the Duraludon he had recently caught. He places it on her desk and seems to struggle with what to say.
“I’m going to do something real fucking stupid,” he admits. At least his utter lack of grace with explanations remains. “But I’ve already come this far.” He should offer more details. Explain Mistra, and what’s been happening to him at the arena, what’s been happening around him—his fucking cat.
But some part, an increasingly loud part, is telling him to just KEEP GOING. He looks at Professor Ash and only sees a bundle of pixels and automated responses. Maybe at best, a reprimand for going against her orders. The PARASITE has to be a deliberate feature; it would not be here, and would not be so elaborate if it could be solved just like that.
He lets out a frustrated noise, one hand clawing through his hair out of stress. “Whatever, fuck. I’m talking nonsense now. Just take the damn dragon. I’ll handle whatever comes next.”
He has a few ideas. Call up someone reliable, and get some insurance for who will undoubtedly become collateral damage. Once he’s taken care of everything else, then he’ll just GET RID OF IT.

"Hey, Ash." When Tuesday enters the Professor's field lab in what now feels akin to a routine, she looks much different from what did until now — including the addition of about a whole foot in height. A lot has changed a lot with her appearance, but she does not dwell on these things, instead simply giving the Professor one of her warm and radiant smiles. Those have not changed. Those will never change.
"How are preparations coming along? I brought you a few more Steel types today." Thirteen Pokéballs, actually. All labelled appropriately to their content, as always. "Any clue on the mystery of why the Giant Shrine has stuck around yet? I'd tell you it might be tethered to its hallowed ground, but that doesn't sound like a very scientific answer, does it?... Have you ever heard of ley lines? Maybe it could be something like that, but then all the shrines would be connected in some way."
It's just a shot in the dark and not a very scientific one either. Simple ideas that pop into her head because truly Tuesday may just spend way too much time near shrines and she does love making small talk with the professor when she comes here. She has actually grown to like the professor a lot, which is the reason for her parting words:
"Anyway, back to hunting I go! Try to take a little break here and there, yeah? No one works well without proper sleep and good meals."

Truth be told, Yuze had not expected the Professor's reaction the last time he had been here, and he hadn't really known how to react. She had been concerned about him; the sort of concern he knows well but had never seen from someone here until now. Concern for his health. Concern for his life.
It all had made him want to do right by her wishes, even if he truly doubts Cygnus will tell him anything he likes. Still, he might have some new information and new information is always of value.
"Cygnus is apparently really hard to get a hold of, but I'm trying." He tells her the next time he stops by. "I joined Mythstar, so I'll make sure to stop by his carriage soon. For now... I brought you some Pokémon."
He leaves the Pokéballs with her, but of course, stopping by Cygnus' carriage means he'll end up having to go out hunting again for the sake of it. The grind never ends.

Verai stepped into the tent, thankfully having paused under the overhang to work most of the water from his hair. "Good evening, Professor," He greeted, kindly as ever. "Here- I heard you were still looking for these. I trust they'll assist with whatever you're working on." He set the pokeballs down gently, gaze hesitating over them a moment.
"If I may be so bold," He started, after a moment. "If all these pokemon are to help find where Giant Shrine has gone... I hope your work goes smoothly."

Pale golden orbs shifted over the many tents, nervous despite the calmness over the area. It took some time to find the Professor, asking several of the assistance that lingered in the area for directions. And after several minutes of searching, Rhaenyra;e eyes widened at the sight of the grey haired woman. A hand rose, waving it back and forth high above her head to grab her attention. “Professor!”
It was only when she was close enough and had the professors attention did the wolf hybrid speak. A half smile on her lips, reaching into her jacket and plucking out a sphere. “Hey,” she greeted, fumbling with the sphere before she open palmed it to Ash, “I saved this egg from a swarm of beedrill. It ended up being a duraludon. You’re looking for them, right? Here, you can have it.”

On this particular Wednesday, Tuesday isn't here with a bunch of questions or random ideas for Professor Ash. Instead, she's here with lunch.
"Hey, Ash. You've been working so hard on all this... How about a break for lunch? My treat." She says with a warm smile, holding up oh-so-alluring brown paper bags. "Healthy body, healthy mind, right? I brought us sandwiches and some of iced tea lattes, courtesy of the T.E.A. Shop.... Aaaand, I also stopped by Mom's House, so she also sent slices of Leppa pie for dessert."
That's the Pokémon berry equivalent of apples, look it up.
But, anyway, when had Tuesday become one of the Professor's assistants? She hadn't. Not officially, at least. But, she does like Ash quite a lot, and out of all NPCs in UNOVR, she's a good one to have as a friend. Plus... She's never against a nice meal here, even if it's just sandwiches and pie (Mom's Leppa Pie is damn great).
Of course, as per usual, she had also brought a few Pokéballs, all of them labelled:

It’s the first time he’s returned to Professor Ash’s tent since departing for his journey. The fledgling trainer looks around with wide eyes, still fascinated by the setup even during the second time. And just like their first meeting, he tenses under the presence of authority. He resists the urge to sate his curiosity and focuses on looking professional.
Still cradled in his arms is Gumball, his popplio, who brightens upon recognizing the professor and gives her a cheerful wave.
“Hello, professor. Pardon the interruption. I’m here about the uh… the quest?” Looking at it now, there appears to be a surplus of pokeballs around. Were they donations from the other trainers? He’s thankful to have returned in time.
“Are you still accepting steel types? I have a few right here…” Transferring his popplio to one arm, he reaches into the hundreds of pockets he has on his coat, taking out four pokeballs. Fruits of the hunt that wouldn’t have been possible were it not for him getting lucky and finding a hunting partner—though he wasn’t sure (and honestly, didn’t care) where the man had gone.

PARASITE DETECTED: STAGE 1
When he returns from the last hunt, there is a very palpable air of impatience around him. His last visit hadn’t been so long ago. He’s been grinding relentlessly since, stopping only when he’d been summoned to fight in the arena, and even that has only contributed to the unease that spills out of him.
He doesn’t quite know what to say to the professor when he sees her again. Her last words to him still ring clear in the back of his head, heard over the rest of the static. “I’m just here to drop off some more steel.”
He places down seven pokeballs this time. With how sluggish his movements are, they don't go tumbling off the desk.
Despite his initial plan though, he doesn’t just take the money and leave. He can’t tell her much, but now that he’s this close to reuniting with Mistra, he can’t help ask at least one thing:
“If there’s something wrong with us or our pokemon, and we find out that shit can’t be fixed by the shrines—is there another way to do it?”
