Jinx... may have bitten off more than she could chew here, trying to sneak around in an icy cave, trying to get one past a creature for whom snow and ice were as tolerable--no, as essential--as air and water, and not just because of its (presumed) Ice typing, either. No, she was on thin ice here, both literally and metaphorically, and Jinx didn't look forward to any potential misstep plunging her into the icy depths below.
But then, there was a certain beauty to be found here and here alone. There was a reason ice skating was such a common winter pastime, after all--the ice was freezing cold, yes, but it also allowed for movements that humans could otherwise only dream of. On thin ice was a dangerous place to be, yes, but it also could allow for magnificent leaps and bounds, sliding gracefully from place to place... ice was a blessing as well as a curse, or could be, anyway, for those able to turn the elemental power of ice to their own advantage.
Jinx just had to learn to become one of those people, to brave the icy cave and find her path through it, to become one with the ice.
...which was easier said than done, especially for a Kindler...
Jinx didn't even go for the gold coin that had caught her eye earlier this time. No, that coin was now well and truly encased in ice, and she didn't reckon trying to break her way through the icy encumbrance that now surrounded it, to force her relationship with the ice that surrounded her to be an adversarial one as she tried to force her way past its icy grip, was her most likely path to success here. There were plenty of other pieces of treasure to be found in and around the ice, plenty of other items that would be valuable to her as well as to the Snomager.
Her eyes ended up falling on a small figurine of a Pokemon--from a glance, it might have even been the Snomager, though Jinx wasn't so sure. The figurine was made of what might have been glass, but with a strange translucent glaze giving it a whitish tint throughout. It looked like ice a little bit, or snow, except that the way the light glinted off of its irregular sides wasn't the way it reflected off of the ice. Plus, when she touched it, it wasn't cold to the touch like ice would be, though it had a bit of icy frost clinging to its surface that melted away with the touch of a finger.
It was a strange prize, perhaps, but one that felt fitting to Jinx just the same. She was fighting her way through the ice for whatever she grabbed, so wasn't it only natural that she grab something that looked like ice itself, something that would remind her of the ice that she had found here--the ice that she would, perhaps, conquer?
As long as she didn't end up with an Ice Beam to the face... well, Jinx would consider her battle with the ice well fought if she could just make it out of this icy cavern intact.

She... did it?
She did it!
Valentine hadn't really expected her plan to work, truth be told, but here she was, out of the Snomager's grasp with her necklace prize still firmly grasped in her hands. And oh, the necklace was even more beautiful once she got a closer look at it, and got to take it outside of the cave and expose it to the natural light outside... such as it was in the Misty Timberland, at least, where fog seemed like less of an atmospheric condition and more of a way of life...
Valentine couldn't help herself; as she toppled back into the rowboat and started paddling frantically back to shore, she burst into loud, exuberant giggles. She was giddy with success, and she was, quite literally, going to make that heard loud and clear.
(note: Valentine got something already, this post is just for funsies~)

Finnegan Fjord knew just what to say to get someone else's attention. Why, he even knew what to say to get a girl like C-GOTE thinking, and he'd done it in the same breath as the other achievement! The fact of the matter is, C-GOTE didn't know why she was here. And if she had no reason to stick around, why not take the conveniently offered invitation to have one?
"We're stealing something? I wonder who we're stealing from," the third trainer ponders calmly as she walks towards her new partners. Having mistaken the howl of the Guardian Snom for the roar of arctic wind, C-GOTE still had no idea as to the danger that they were all in. To Finnegan Fjord and Genesis , it surely seemed that she was very cool underneath the pressure.
C-GOTE had a very distinct order of things to do from that point on. One, she gave both of her new partners a hug. The novelty of another humans warmth had yet to dull for her, and it was very cold until now. Two, she walked into the Poké-made flames with all the boldness that only someone with dampened pain settings could have and freed the eggs from the ice with a few quick taps of the fist to the loosest of joints in the ice. After handing her new friends their eggs, she noticed something sharp and shiny in the snow beneath. The shine of metal belonged to a capsule. It looked round and was able to fit in the palm of her hand. It was like some sort of odd Pokéball, though it clearly wasn't made to hold a Pokémon inside.
Well, she wouldn't let it go to waste! Surely it was used to hold something! Timestamp: 40 Work together with another player

Lucky had happened across the isle by circumstance, though he wished that he were able to have reached it earlier. He had been trying *all day* to see if he could glitch himself into whatever lie beyond the mysterious message that the lake held. As it turned out, he only needed to have waited for the actual event to take place.
Thus, he was arriving on the isle on a boat of ice. Selma swam besides the boat, clearly unconstrained as Lucky now was when he was taking a ride on this mysterious vessel. He was here to steal something, and he would do it quickly.
Very quickly. His eyes couldnt help but be drawn to the brightest light he'd seen in days, something iridescent hidden inside of a great block of ice. It was actually kind of hard for him to look at, and the reflective properties of ice were not helping his case. The thing is, that block of ice was separated from the island-all Lucky had to do was to tow it away from the isle with the boat and free the glowing orb within it afterwards.

She wasn't alone, and while some people got away with their treasures, the Snom had suddenly awoken. The icy chill that blew through the tunnel would have shaken anyone else to the bone. Luckily, as an Ice-Type specialist, especially with the Ice-Type class Freezer, it didn't bother her at all.
She was pretty sure the Ice Beams would still be painful, though.
Laguna managed to avoid its icy frozen wrath before other players lulled it back to sleep. She'd silently remind herself to thank Tuesday later for their quick thinking putting it back to sleep.
She didn't dare shout appreciation, however, they were almost quite literally on thin ice. One further mistake, and they'd be swept away into an icy hell that would probably end up with them all whiting out. Sure, others were being quite noisy, but if she was being honest with herself, the idea of a stealth mission was just too enjoyable to resist.
Or at least, until the jig was up, and she had to run like hell. That's how those games always worked, right?
Her eyes narrowed back at the magic wand she found, stuck within the ice. Unfortunately, the only way to get it out was probably some kind of violence. Maybe a Fire move would work? She didn't have any Pokemon with a move like that, but maybe a Dragon move could suffice.
"... Dragon might be weak to Ice, but it doesn't resist it." She whispered to herself, trying to remind herself of the type match-ups. Still, the idea of a dragon move did remind her of a certain Pokemon she owned.
And on instinct, she sent out Roxxanne.
The massive Onix appeared, her frozen icy body with the cosmetic she had felt right at home in the cave. Still, it was positively dwarfed by the Snomager in its ice-filled home. This was its domain, and there was no forgetting that. Hopefully, if the Snomager woke up again, perhaps Roxane could stay still, and hide as any other normal ice rock in this cave.
"Shhhh, quiet girl. Let's get to work, breaking this wand from its icy prison before the Snomager awakes."
"I can be quiet, Auntie. Just allow me to work, this ice will not slow me down." Her seductive voice spoke up, just naturally beautiful to hear.
Laguna blinked stunned for a moment. Right. She had Pokespeech enabled, and Roxanne acted as if she was her mother's sister, her aunt. This was definitely a little concerning, could the Snomager hear them too? Especially as an Onix was indeed technically weak to ice-type attacks, her worry only grew.
"Right, right. Just, be careful."
"Careful is my middle name. I think. Was it you who named me? Can that be my middle name? Roxanne Careful?... Do I have a last name?"
"Yeah yeah, sure, we can have the talk later. Please, let's get this ice broken. I really want that wand, and then we can discuss names."
The Onix reared her head back for a bit before letting out a puff of air, a miniscule Dragon Breath in an attempt to shred the ice apart and grant her the lovely accessory she sought.
Once it was free enough that it looked free to grab, Laguna would reach over to try and rip the wand free from the remaining ice, taking it into her hands. The wand itself still felt frozen to the touch, but who knew how long it had been frozen within its icy limbo.
"Alright, Ice one." Laguna smiled widely, making a pun up at her Onix. She had been waiting for a time to break out that one, it felt justified after such a performance.
The unfortunate truth is that Roxanne did not get the pun, however. "Ice one what? What are we icing? Is the wand the ice one? The Snomager? Me? I must admit, you have me confused Auntie."
"Forget about the ice one! It was just a silly pun!" She said just a little bit too loud for comfort, eyes suddenly glancing around in a bit of panic over at the Snomager. Had it heard them? Was it going to suddenly wake up and come for them? There was no time to stand around and keep arguing about this
"Alright, new plan. You swim and float in the water, pretend to be giant rocks of ice, and we slip on out of here."
"As far as I can tell, I already have the appearance of rocks made of ice. I have no need to preten-"
"Yes, yes, I know, come on, let's hurry!"
Roxane let out a quiet sigh, slowly slipping into the water nice and carefully as Laguna climbed onto their head by the horn. The Onix began to slowly swim out of the river, but despite careful supposedly being their middle name, they couldn't help but speak in curiosity as they left.
"... What even is that ice wand, and why did you desire it so much Auntie? And is now a bad time to discuss my full name?"

Ruby had to admit, she didn't really know what she was doing here. She just decided to open up her map for the first time in a very long time, and saw a limited-time event.
And unfortunately for her, she was too curious for her own good.
This place chilled her to the bone. Even with the coat, hat, and gloves she borrowed from Mom's house, it was too much for her. Ruby rowed in on the boat, saw the giant worm-like Pokemon thing shooting ice around, and everyone chaotically trying to steal something from the cave.
"Nope," Ruby said to herself almost instantly. "This isn't worth it. This isn't worth freezing to death. Greed will kill me."
She turned the frozen boat around, intent on just getting out and leaving that place behind before she got dragged into another mess. These game mechanics and events and dungeons and everything else that everyone else was so excited for, were nothing but trouble.
But... it did seem like everyone else was having fun.
Ruby paused, taking a few moments to watch. Some people were successfully managing to get their share of the loot and dip, and it didn't look that hard to be quick about it, right? Maybe she was playing UNOVR a little bit too cautiously.
She sighed heavily, sending out her Munna as she climbed aboard the shore. "This is ludicrous. I'm going to get frozen solid, and then I'm going to chew myself out for messing around. And I-"
Her Munna suddenly bumped into her, nudging her forwards.
"Right. No time to complain. Quick, help me find something nice. Nice enough to risk being frozen solid, I guess."
The two split up and Ruby's eyes had casually glossed across a few things. Weapons of shapes and sizes, a little statuette of something she thought looked like a dog, a broken eggshell, and... was that a grandfather clock? She was pulled back into focus when her Munna once again communicated to her by gently nudging, and then slowly taking their hand into hers and leading them over to a frozen block.
Inside the ice, was a half-frozen pillow. Ruby immediately chuckled, rolling her eyes at her Munna's apparent desire to sleep all the time. Even during these events, she'd seemingly desired nothing more than to sleep.
"This will make you happy?" Murmur the Munna nodded, and Ruby quickly approached closer. "Alright, use Psybeam, isolate the pillow and rip it out of there with your psychic powers, or something. That's a move you have, right? You can move stuff with it, right?"
The Munna seemed to yawn, before using the move exactly as commanded. Psychic energies glowed, a beam of energy glowing and illuminating the pillow. Suddenly, a beam of psychic energy blasted the ice, shattering it to bits. Psybeam was not a careful move, it was destructive and violent. Unfortunately for Ruby, Murmur had no desire to do anything but the easiest option, force.
"Gah!" Ruby exclaimed as the noise from exploding ice quickly reminded her of the situation she was in. She grabbed the pillow and immediately began to book it.
"If we get frozen, it's your fault Murmur!"
For their part, the Munna only seemed to laugh as it flew along right behind. The little bit of excitement provided by tonight's chaotic activities would be enough to help them sleep for the next week, or so!

THE SNOMAGER IS SLEEPING...The Snomager dreams a beautiful dream.
There is no sun. There is no stars. There is only night, and cold.
The world is dark, and frost glitters on the ground. It coats tree roots and pine needles, forms fractal-flowers on the surface of stagnant puddles. On the horizon comes a faint lightening, as if the sun is just about to rise— but it never does. The Snomager is glad. Winter is more beautiful this way.
A light sweeps through the darkness. It comes from the top spire of a fairytale palace, which fades in, dream-like, from the perpetual twilight. Its many stained-glass windows blink like multicolored eyes, and light and laughter can be heard distantly from within.
But the front doors are closed.
Not you.—says a voice, and the Snomager wakes up.
Finnegan Fjord is the only person unfortunate enough to remain in eyesight, and the lengthy Snom's beady black eyes grow dark as the solstice as it realizes how much has been pilfered from its hoard.
<SNOOOOOOOOMAAAAA!>
Blue-white light reflects like lightning from the water.
As the other players make their triumphant escape, perhaps only Genesis and C-GOTE might look back to see the red-haired Swimmer completely frozen in a pillar of ice, shard still clutched in one hand. Strangely, the egg is missing— it seems the player was able to add it to his inventory after all before suffering the Snomager's immortal wrath.
Finn's Tall Grass HP has been reduced to 0. You will revive at your last visited shrine when you sign back in. Ice Beams build a glacial wall as the serpentine Snom closes itself back off from the world, the entrance to its lair blocked again by snow and ice. While players may return here to the island in the future, they will find the cave itself once again to be an area inaccessible.
Until next year, Snomagerds. DUNGEON COMPLETE
