Patch 0.1 is here, and with it, the opening of Beta Island! This glorious, sunlit isle is just a hop, skip and a shipwreck away from the Asper mainland, and is full of lush, untextured jungle, buggy beaches, and Pokemon that run according to their programming.

When stale air seemed to come rushing at her from a door that closed, she looked and saw ~~Seta~~. She didn't smile at the cloaked figure, and instead, listened to them. "I'm not here to abandon one of my pokemon, instead, if you allow it, I wish to bring one back." She wanted to make that perfectly clear before anything else was to start. She was not going to get rid of one of her pokemon, she adored them all too much. Instead, she wanted to bring one home. To give one a second chance. "I don't know what their original trainer did to them in the past. I wish to show them that not all trainers are going to abandon them. I want to be able to show them that no matter what, there is someone out there that will adore them, and trust them. As for what will be different this time, this is a new life for them. A new trainer, one who is going to help them grow as strong as they wish to be. To be able to show the pokemon how much love they deserve." As she spoke, her normal nonchalant sound in her voice, started to turn into one of care and adoration. She meant what she said, and she could only hope that ~~Seta~~ noticed this. "I will do whatever it takes, to be able to bring a pokemon back, and give them a trainer that is going to do what they want to do, and love them as they should be loved."

Asks for passage of a soul between the worlds, and promises to provide a better home for the lost souls. "Spirits gather here for they have no place in the world above, no trainer to care for them," Seta says, their voice full of calm, eternal patience. "If you can convince one that a place exists, then they may return with you." They turn, and the grayness moves down the hall. They lead you to a door-shaped hole in the wall, Not a door, because that would require a barrier of some sort. Wood, a hinge. This is more like a taut black curtain strung up in a rectangular piece. "Do not forget your face," Seta warns, "or that of the soul you seek." An image of a golden Paras mask flashes on your mind, and you have an instant to etch the form into your mind -golden carapace, gilded eyes, glittering mandibles- before you step into the darkness. It's as brief as blinking, and you find yourself in a new world. TRIAL OF REFLECTION You find yourself in a hall of mirrors, but each reflection is twisted and distorted, showing a different version of yourself. The air is thick with the sound of shattering glass as you realize that your reflection is being hunted by a dark presence. Find and rescue your lost Pokemon from one of the distorted mirrors before the dark presence catches you. SPOILER: Click to show {THEME} Athysh Instructions Complete the Trial.
