Morgana stood in the middle of the meadow, tossing full-sized balls of yarn from a basket towards her Meowstic, Senga.
"Number of days in a year!"
<Meow.>
"Number of quarts in a gallon!"
<Meow.>
The white feline deftly bounced in place, knocking each yarn ball back towards Morgana with a combination of accuracy and psychic ability. To her credit, Morgana was also able to catch them back in the basket. Why she was testing Senga's knowledge of random crap was unknown, it just felt right.
"Number of quarter-pounders in a pound!"
<Meow?>
"Ohohoho... very good." Morgana caught another yarn ball and threw the next one high. "Number of decimal places in pi!"
<Meow.>
"Do you think we knew each other in another life, Senga?" asked the villainess conversationally as they trained. Morgana wasn't sure exactly which skill this was training, but it was an amusing excuse to throw yarn around and play with a cat. "I could swear we'd played DND together. Not that this isn't equally entertaining."
Morgana tossed another ball towards the Meowstic, but this one wasn't made of yarn. It was a doll's head, its false eyelashes fluttering in the wind as it fell towards Senga. <Meow?!>
"What do you mean? It's a creepy doll head," said Morgana, as if this was obvious. "I got it so we can bond under the principles of shared terror."
The head fell, and fell right through Senga's body. <Meow?!>
"Oh look, it worked!" Morgana exclaimed, pleased. She tip-tapped over and picked up the doll's head. Its hair was matted with grit from the ground, and its glassy eyes stared at her hauntingly. "You're a ghost-type now! I hope we can use the walk-through-walls cheat."
She screwed the doll head back onto its body and handed the full thing to Senga, who managed to materialize her paws enough to hold onto it. "There. Now you have something to hold onto besides my crowbar." Who ever heard of a cat with a crowbar?
Meowstic is now very rare (+15)
