[ti]closed[/ti]Swole Patrol

From the little Odile experienced of Ostellia, it was well and truly abandoned. The only thing that really felt alive beyond herself and her Pokemon was the Shrine, blue static crawling up and down like serpents. Beyond that? Where was the sound, the life? What happened here to leave it so desolate, and for so long too? Rust just didn't happen in a blink of an eye. No, this place has been well and truly forsaken for a long, long time.

It was so weird to be in a slumbering city, coming from the girl that lived in the city that never slept. 

So when she did hear noise, of course she was going to see what was going on as fast as her feet could take her. 

Franz, the lovely Frosmoth that hadn't seen much action flew overhead, miniscule icy scales drifting down as Odile followed. Her Flaaffy, Giselle, did her best to keep up, effectively Naruto running with her tiny arms flattened to her side. <What do you think it is?> The electric sheep asked, sapphire gemmed tail swaying side to side. The sounds were metallic, loud crunches, tinkles of glass breaking. Was it a fight? Some epic battle in the streets of the city? <Are we gonna beat it up?>

"Let's just see what it is." Odile said, feeling that touch of nervousness worming its way in her stomach. Whatever it was, clearly it had to be strong to make those noises. Was it even safe? Normally if you heard something like this, you would be running away. Not towards it. But everything was a bit different in UNOVR, and in case of anything, she was decently confident in her ability to get away. At least a 70%, and everyone knew all you needed to pass was a C. As she rounded the corner, the sight... wasn't really what she expected. She had figured it had to be some sort of Pokemon, but she wasn't expecting what seemed to be a whole scrapping operation going on. A black Tauros moved a car along with his horns; an older model, even among all the ones parked around. Couldn't be worth much. Other Pokemon were working away on another vehicle, pulling it apart, others melting the old metal. A well oiled machine made from not well oiled machines.

Odile took a few steps forward, shifting over to the cracked sidewalk as the Pokemon did their job, her gaze going between the safety occupied Wimpod (adorable) and what had to be the trainer in charge. Looked kinda familiar. Was he at the raid? "Uh, hey?" A hand flew up in greeting, a smile offered. "Whatcha... whatcha doing over here? If you don't mind me asking? Got a whole operation over here."

If it was something people should take seriously, it was their safety. So of course when the scuttering Bug-type Pokemon asked her to stand back as the professionals did their job, Odile did just that, shifting aside. Until, that is, his trainer gave the OK. "I won't touch anything, pinky promise." She swore to the Wimpod, Giselle looking between her and him. <I'll keep her safe.> That was Giselle's job at that point.

Once it was explained what was happening, everything clicked. "Oh that's really nice of you actually to clear the streets!" Odile chirped. As more people came around, it was definitively going to need to happen. She wasn't around for Briarbane, but she couldn't help but to think and wonder if that maybe, if enough people worked together, they could get this city thriving again. Maybe not to the scale that it originally was, but maybe something close to it. Would take a lot of manpower, but it couldn't be out of the realm of possibility. This place must have been gorgeous at night, the same way she found beauty in the sparkling skyline of New York. "And yeah no, especially for some of these rarer cars that parts are hard to get your hands on? There's good money to be found there." Now Odile wasn't sure who was going to buy it off of him in this dead city, but there had to be a buyer or three in Briarbane.

The corners of her lips pulled up more as she gladly took his hand and shook. She didn't even get to introduce herself as the supersonic burst of... something, her hair flying in the same direction. Franz's wings fluttered wildly, the Forsmoth trying to keep himself straight, scattering white scales as he did. It was gone just as quick as it came. Maybe even quicker.

Odile didn't even register the fact Orion had taken her hand, body almost ragdolling as it followed his lead for cover. Pokemon scrambled about for protection, everyone seemingly holding their breath. "What the..." The redhead breathed out, looking to Orion. "No? It was just... like a flash of red? That's all I got." Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Giselle walk out onto the street, beady black eyes squinting.

<Yeah, you better run!> The oh so intimidating Flaaffy shook her fist. Because clearly, cotton candy colored sheep was the scariest thing about. Does this look like the face of mercy to you? "Giselle, get back here! Don't make whatever that was angry!"

<Baaaaah, it's gone already. Probably didn't even hear me.>
