[ti]spawn[/ti]Now THIS is Podracing!

So there was weird shit in the desert.

Should that be so surprising to Odile? Likely not. Ostellia was still so mysterious, so little known about it. Of course, there was going to have its oddities. She was going to find a guy who's Pokemon were pushing cars along to rip apart and melt the scraps together. She was going to meet up with an old friend at an old lab.

She was going to see a guy ride a giant tin can with iron bamboo shoots for arms across the desert.

"What the..." Odile spoke quietly to herself, watching the display from the dune she was on. What even was that? A Pokemon? Not one she was familiar with. Swanhilda, the small Tinkatink and newest addition to her team, hid behind a leg, hand tightly clasping her hammer, just in case she needed it. "You've ever seen something like that before?"

The fairy only shook her head. The natural response. "At... least he's having fun?" Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that Swanhilda was at least confirming she was seeing the same thing Odile was, she might chalk it up to some sort of desert mirage.

That thing had... well, Odile wasn't sure if it had lungs in the traditional sense, but the noise it was making were something else. Like it felt like it shook her to the bone. The guy on top of the massive... Pokemon? Had to be a Pokemon right? But sure, yeah it could be, but it sure wasn't any she recognized. There were too many at this point for her to memorize them all.

It sounded... what? Angry? Upset? Over what? Was it her? Not like there was anyone else to be upset about, but what on earth did she do beyond just being here? Was he plotting something? Swanhilda had moved a bit, clutching her leg, gently whining. <W-Why is it making that noise...?>

"I-I don't know dearie, come on, let's..."

YOU MIGHT WANNA LIKE... HIDE.

Thanks for the suggestion? Like there was a bunch of places to hide out here in the desert. How fast could she run? If she slid down the dune, she might have a chance. Key word might. Odile was just about to put that to the test until she watches the guy... hide himself. Even recalled the massive Pokemon. It was only then when she realized that he wasn't talking to her like she needed to hide from them. There was something else out here.

She was about to pick up Swanhilda into her arms, like you would a baby, when she pointed a pink finger to another dune not too far away from them. There was something there.

The arms moved like waves, up and down in an almost serpentine manner. There were no eyes, just a ball that floated right above where the collar was. Reminded Odile of a cake pop, of all things. The colorful spots on the "head" looked like sprinkles. The stripes on the body brought about something like the circus. All things that, on the surface, were innocent enough. Harmless enough.

Until its head came off, and it was thrown right over where she was. Instincts took over. Her foot moved, letting her slid out of the way as Swanhilda moved in to tank the blow. The explosion that followed was like a firecracker, a burst of color you would find overhead in an amusement park. "Swanhilda! Sweetie! Are you okay?!"

<I'm fine!> her soft voice called out, brandishing her hammer as the weapon it was. Shaken, some sand covering the little fairy, but well enough to fight. Swanhilda wasn't the fastest, but those little legs hustled, her hammer striking the shin of the weird Pokemon.

Odile's head whipped around, looking right at the guy hiding. "A little help please?!"
