It didn't take long for Wildfyre to outpace her Trainer (of course it didn't, the idiot hadn't even done the tutorial to get his Running Shoes, he didn't stand a chance of catching her), and she found herself enjoying the chance to stretch her legs and run again, just as she had before. A soft whinny of triumph escaped her as she picked up speed, closing her eyes and enjoying the run-

Until she ran smack dab into a rock wall with a screech. The Ponyta tumbled back, eyes falling open, only to snort when she found herself staring at an empty expanse. She snorted and tried to trot forwards, only to find herself bonking against that force again, and she stopped, sparks flaring from her nostrils.

And then it clicked. She couldn't keep running because she'd hit the limit of how far she could go from-

With a loud cry, she wheeled around and around in circles, snorting and tearing at the ground with her hooves. Stupid stupid stupid! She had just wanted to run and that stupid human was- Argh!

As it turned out, his yell was very much warranted, the Ponyta wheeling around from her little turning tantrum to lay her eyes on- oh. Oh. She let out another snort, little bursts of fire dancing around her sides, before she lowered her head and darted forward in a powerful Flame Charge.

This Duraludon was not like her mate. She didn't try to dance out of the way. No, she dug herself into the ground, bracing herself to take the hint with a low grunt - and repaying her attacker with a sharp set of claws into her sides as she collided.

Adrien slowly stumbled to a halt as he watched the two Pokemon lock together in a deadly dance, skidding himself to a stop, the jingle of gold easily drowned out by the sound of metal sizzling from flames. "All right, Wild, try an Ember to get it to reel back!" he called out, seeing as they were stuck pressed against each other, neither female willing to give so much as an inch to the other.

Except that, in all honesty, trying to send a bunch of little bits of flame in any kind of coordinated direction while your nose was smarting was an exceptionally bad idea - and this time would be no exception. The sparks blew wide, largely missing the Duraludon, who was quick to lumber forward and slam her arms down on the Ponyta that was too firmly planted in her rage to be able to nimbly dart away in time.

Adrien sighed loudly, his ears flattening down as he tried his best to ignore the sounds of the fight (and failing, judging by the way his tail was slinking between his legs, but no one was around to see it, so it wasn't like it mattered any, thank you very much) as he pulled up his UI to warp back to the Pokemon Center before Wildfyre could manage to tire herself out too much with another attack. With how low her HP was, it kind of seemed like a moot point to let her keep fighting at the moment.

If he'd thought his words were going to make much of a difference to the Ponyta, Adrien was about to be sorely disappointed as she lingered for only a moment more before rushing forwards, charing in with a Flame Charge that, by and large, went wide, the Fire-type having guessed her opponent was going to move in a way she didn't. Adrien winced watching her get another powerful arm slamming into her side, but she held up to the blow surprisingly well, gallopping around the turn and resetting herself with a snort and pawing at the ground.

"You've almost got it, Wild!" he encouraged. "Just focus on hitting it and you should be able to knock it out!"

<Ta!> she agreed with a snort and a roll of her eyes before she reared up and jumped forward into another Flame Charge.
