Since our Beta launch we've been hard at work adding, tweaking, and fixing. Patch 0.2 is all about quality of life improvements and getting the site running as smooth as Silcoon. You can check it out here!

Patch 0.1 is here, and with it, the opening of Beta Island! This glorious, sunlit isle is just a hop, skip and a shipwreck away from the Asper mainland, and is full of lush, untextured jungle, buggy beaches, and Pokemon that run according to their programming.

He already had a Rufflet and a female Nidoran along for the ride, however fact of the matter is that he had to double back towards the tutorials because— There were objectives he hadn’t lit up yet, and so he had to get to those. Well, well, welly well. There was still no sign of Sidra anywhere in game yet, so he’d taken it upon himself to get ahead as much as he could so that he could kick her ass into high gear and get her going… …much like how he had to carry her ass in XIV whenever he had to play GNB or DRK, heh. While he had no objective marker guiding him back to the patch of tall grass near his home in UNOVR, there was a specific Pokémon he was after. Liepard grew to be quite large, and were one of the easiest big cat Pokémon to tame. In fact, the blonde was just one level away from being able to craft a saddle for a Liepard. It would be a matter of gaining enough experience not to get himself to that level, but to evolve the Purrloin he sought to catch here. To the rider's surprise, he and his Zebstrika ran into Altair while circling the tall grass. "Hi there!" he asked with a wave, reining Raiden to a stop. "What are you doing out here? The experience isn't very good. Must be after a certain Pokémon?" Altair

You’re going to be here a very long time!”* he hummed quietly, before looking over at his own storage and realizing that there were several spaces grayed out… but certainly they weren’t going to be enough for a completionist like his companion! “…well, you think you have it bad? I have it a lot worse than you!” he chuckled. “I already picked out my type specializations and I’m going to start petitioning for more storage space because Water and Flying have way too many of my own favorites spread out…” This was, of course, before he brought up the third type he’d chosen; a movement caught his eye. ‘On it!’ he heard the Froakie ribbit from around his feet, literally taking an opening dive at the surprised Pidove. “…I know it’s cheating since I technically already have a Rufflet, but you know. While the electric-type wouldn't fight with his trainer in the saddle (at least not yet), he had a full belt of other Pokémon looking for a fight. "Watch my box be half-full of gods when endgame comes around. Why do half the legendary Pokémon have to be the best steeds again?" "I have one too. Does Speed count as a type?" he jabbed toward Altair as he made laps around the small field of tall grass. Altair had beat him to the Pidove, his view flashing white briefly from the CRITICAL HIT the Froakie had wrought. Though the Pidove would be worth a pittance of experience, Ares was hungry for it. Since this is a game, and it’s still under production—they’re going to raise the cap at some point.” Because something had to give, right? The Froakie then watched as the Charmander took out the Pidove with one more hit; which then rendered the Flying-type unconscious. “Well, then, time to get a second bird for my collection!” he cackled quietly as he then flicked through the menu, finally getting the golden Pokéball and chucking it at the passed-out Pidove. At least he’d gotten this part one and done with! “We should definitely add each other at some point,” he would agree. “Maybe when we’re done with all the tutorials, eh?” Since the menu options had hilariously ‘grayed out’, at least in this part of the game. "I hope so, anyway. I don't want to have to give up some of my favorite partners just to saddle up a legendary Pokémon. Who knows how they work here, anyway? I just know that once they drop in the story, anyone can get them." It was a lot of work raising them, but it was so worthwhile. The ones Josh was interested in had incredible movement speed. With his current skill as a rider, though, he could not handle them. Josh had his Golden Poké Ball pinned to the top of his inventory for this reason. Quickly selecting it, he, too, hurled it at the Pidove. While he didn't plan on keeping the bird, as Unfezant were a little small to serve as steeds, it would get him closer to an Absol. "Why not here?" Josh asked Altair while the catch was in progress. Going into his menu, he noticed all the options not relevant to the tutorial were, in fact, greyed out. "... You're right. How about we get that taken care of before we re-queue?" Altair
