“Been a while since we took a stab at this.” Tikani mused as she walked beside Alicia, looking to her with a smile.
"It really has..." The Gardener mused with a shrug of her shoulders. "Feels like time's flown by. I blame Josh Devlin for his need for speed."
It was nice to revisit a lower powered area like this, especially since she needed to get used to one of her newest team members. She and Josh had recently taken on a Colossal Battle, and she'd decided to bite on the offer of the 'mon. A larger team meant more tactical flexibility, after all. How bad could it be?
"Unbelievable... taking such an esteemed personage as myself to such a common area..."
Pretty darn bad, as it turned out. Alicia quietly ground her teeth a bit at the sound of the bird Pokemon sitting on her head. In the privacy of her own mind, she swore that if they ever invented time travel, she was going to go back to her past self and tell her 'take the points instead'.
“Honestly, for a first outing you truly have abysmal tastes. And work on your posture, you're bouncing about like a ninny!”
How, she begged of the world around her, did she end up with a Pidgey that fancied herself a high-born princess? She would expect this kind of behavior to be potentially present in, say, a Swablu that would grow into a beautiful Altaria. Not in the one of the most common birds from the very first generation...
“Though I will give you this much, these flowers are quite precious. Fitting to adorn a crown. See to getting some more exotic varieties, yes?”
Currently, Sylvene the Pidgey was the biggest mistake of her UNOVR life. And Alicia was not expecting it to get better any time soon. The common bird was dead serious about the crown, having plucked the flowers straight from her hair when they started growing in. And causing a fit and a half over having to weave the flower crown herself, as Alicia had no knowledge, skill, or innate talent for the activity. At least, despite literally growing from her in the locks of pink, the flowers didn't appear to be actually attached to her, so there was no pain when they were plucked. Or maybe her settings muted it entirely. She wasn't sure which was the answer, and she was not keen on finding out. She only hoped that no one heard the ranting bird and paid undue attention toward her little group.
Alicia desperately needed an alternative flying mount for the future... Her first one couldn't understand her, and her second one was unlikely to 'suffer the indignity' as she would likely put it.
