[ti]open[/ti]flower gleam and glow

Surrounding himself with ghost Pokemon had seemed like a good idea at the time. His depression was getting to be at an all time high and the fact that his friend had been more busy chasing tail than communicating lately made it difficult to actually care about much of anything. So the candle-topped dog that followed him around now made him feel a little bit strange. Like it was waiting for him to keel over. Not that that wasn't likely anyways.

It's strange tail wagged as they walked through the settlement, sniffing at the ground and barking occasionally. He wasn't really much of a dog person either. But this was fine. He supposed. Greavard barked once more, little legs shuffling furiously as it sniffed at fallen flower petals. There seemed to be a trail of them wandering in one direction. Probably a gardener class player that got a little overzealous. "Evan, no." But his voice was a bit flat, like he didn't really care one way or the other.

The hound howled, finally finding it's quarry as it tried to jump on the other player. Valentine was in for a world of surprise and maybe misery depending on how they felt about dogs...

He rubbed his face gently, upset that his Pokemon obviously wasn't listening but relieved that at least the person he had decided to harass liked dogs well enough. But he wasn't oblivious to the fact that Evan had managed to ruin Valentine 's flowers. And that meant he felt bad about it. They weren't real flowers but they had probably still worked hard to get them or something. He wasn't sure what sort of quests you had to do to get flowers but there were probably a couple of them.

"I'm sorry about him. He was... coded excited." The Pokemon he had transferred over had also been coded as 'highly curious' meaning that his nose was in everything ever. And he'd thought that it would be a good idea to get one that was special attack based only to realize that UNOVR didn't even use stats. He could have had a lazy little puppy or one that was always alert. But no. He'd chosen the curious one to bring into the game where it could actually cause trouble. "I'll get you more flowers though." He wasn't an asshole.

Leaning down he started to pick up the mess of flowers that was on the ground, shoving Evan out of the way gently as the ghost dog's tail wagged violently as it sniffed around the ground more. What an absolute mess.

Evan wagged his tail at the attention. Excited was excited after all. He hoped that eventually the Pokemon would calm down. Maybe? Or maybe it would get worse as it grew stronger. Who knew a dead dog could want to learn so many tricks? It was cute at least. He'd have to get more of these silly little things and maybe they could calm each other down. "Where did you get the flowers from?" If it was a quest or something it might take a moment for him to gather them. And he did have a lot to do today. But that didn't mean he couldn't take some time out to fulfill a promise. 

"I don't know, I might bite." Even if Evan wouldn't. It was supposed to be a lighthearted joke but it probably came off as him just being a little bit on the strange side. He really hoped it wasn't interpreted as flirting. He wasn't into girls. And he didn't want to flirt with strangers in this game regardless. They could be kids. Or weirdos. "My name is Pawbery." A stupid name but it was fine. He offered a hand for Valentine to shake if she wanted.

At least Valentine didn't seem put off by the terrible joke. It was good to know that he could still be funny. Occasionally. With a twitch of his tail he shook her hand and then looked to where she indicated. An NPC huh? This game had grown in leaps and bounds since the Beta Island incident that Furrlicity Purrfection had told him about. Which was all the better for the health of the game he guessed. If only they could have just... Not banned streaming it. "They've been adding a lot to the game lately... I think they let players establish things too." He'd helped to build one or two things but his health had taken a... turn. Which was fine he was mostly okay now. At least he wasn't having a coughing fit. "Have you been playing long?" He was curious about how much new players knew about things that had happened in the game. Keeping a database as it was of what had been swept under the rug.
