Since our Beta launch we've been hard at work adding, tweaking, and fixing. Patch 0.2 is all about quality of life improvements and getting the site running as smooth as Silcoon. You can check it out here!

Patch 0.1 is here, and with it, the opening of Beta Island! This glorious, sunlit isle is just a hop, skip and a shipwreck away from the Asper mainland, and is full of lush, untextured jungle, buggy beaches, and Pokemon that run according to their programming.

Not what she had been looking for, but it would do in a pinch. The second Pokemon she'd found was also a Koffing, which was less okay, and she had made sure the Koffing lived to regret their battle. But now, it was time for her third encounter in the Crater. This one had to be a Fire-type, right? Or at least not another Koffing? Please? Third time's the charm and all that... Honestly, Jinx didn't have a great feeling about it, but there was only one way to find out who her next opponent would be, and it wasn't by standing around and moping. ENTERING THE TALL GRASS! When a Wild PKMN appears, reply using the ~~ATTACK~~ button to weaken it! But watch out— it might fight back! If your PKMN faints, you must go to the closest SHRINE to restore your PKMN. When the Wild PKMN's HP reaches 10% or below, up to 2 players may spend 25 BYTES to catch it here. You may also simply ~~retreat~~ to end the encounter. Retreating succeeds automatically. Jinx

Jinx didn't want to, well, jinx things again. Better to just look for the wild Pokemon in silence, check every nook and cranny while saying a silent prayer to whatever or whoever controlled the spawns in here... probably a computer, honestly, so the chances of her prayer paying off were somewhere between zero and jack, but hey, it couldn't hurt, right?

And what a cute little bunny Pokemon it was, too! It just looked like a friendly little guy... ...a friendly little guy that she would have to beat up, of course... "Skipper, hit 'em in the face with a Water Pulse!" Jinx had never claimed to be subtle, and her Mudkip's latest attack was no exception. Sure, it used typings to Jinx's advantage, but it also meant blasting a baby rabbit in the face with water, which was pretty far from subtlety in her book. (Weren't rabbits supposed to be sensitive to water, like, in real life? Didn't you have to be really careful bathing them because of that? Well, this Fire-type rabbit certainly lived up to that rule...)

Now bring it on home with a Tackle!" Jinx was a person of many virtues, but subtlety was definitely not one of them. But hey, it's not like it made that much of a difference which attack she used anyway, so why not stick with the basics? And she still got a kick out of seeing her Pokemon just bodily slam into their opponents, even if Skipper's body didn't lend itself to quite the same impact as Minnie's had earlier.
