"Giant wormie!" Rose shouted with glee, watching the Zygarde become whole again. Only for the big nasty bird to rudely interrupt the giant worm friend!
She truly was woefully unaware that Zygarde was legendary at all. But he looked cool!
"Bad! Bad bird!" Rose shouted out, stomping her feet as she summoned one of her Pokemon from its ball. The Electrike suddenly formed, mid-chasing his tail. It stopped suddenly, looking around before looking up at Rose curiously.
"Is it playtime? Ooh, ooh, do you have a-"
"Bad birdy!" Rose replied, answering his question by not really answering his question. "He's trying to eat Mr. Wormie friend!"
"Oh, okay! Battle time! Rrrrrrrright!" It growled the long r sound, twisting around and staring up at the Mega Pidgeot, wings shaking up the wind.
"Blast him! Thunder! Bite him! Murderlize him Cheese!" Rose exclaimed, stomping her feet some more.
"I, uh, I don't know those moves! But- I'll do the best I can!" Cheese turned around as electricity danced across his fur, sparkling in the air before launching a Thunder Wave towards the bird! Prompt 110: [zprompt]mSZrrnaV1d1001d100

Sarah stepped up next to Rose Garden. "Strong little dog you've got there," she said, flashing a grin at the younger trainer. "I'm sure he'll learn Thunder and Murderlize when he gets older."
The Mega Pidgeot was taking a beating, but the damage wasn't sticking. The bird rocketed past, knocking her back into the wall which sprouted with moss and cave daisies where she touched it.
Sarah reached for her freshly acquired worm: Don McLean the Applin. She hurled the Pokeball, and as it split a smaller, redder ball rolled onwards, bouncing over the rocky ground and closing in on Pidgeot like a delicious homing grenade.
It rolled to a stop, and Pidgeot stopped to look at it.
The apple swelled. It bulged, and grew, until it was as large as a grapefruit, then a watermelon, and then a prize-winning pumpkin.
Pidgeot flapped unhappily at the weird fruit. What was happening here.
The apple rocked backwards, and as rolled back forwards a pair of huge eyes popped from the top, waving in the air like inflatable tube men and ASTONISHING the poor bird.
Pidgeot shrieked in surprise.

So Killian was informed rather late that there was this gargantuan battle going on in...the Tree of Worms -- what an odd name, why was it called worms? There were only a handful of worm-like Pokemon, weren't there? But when he spawned into the middle of a battlefield with a giant ass worm (Zygarde?!) with a bunch of other worms and people, he was like, oh, okay, yeah the name made sense. Also, there was a giant Mega Pidgeot screaming at everyone.
The bird was the enemy today? If this were a nature documentary focused on the birds, the people would be rooting for the Pidgeot! But people would generally side with the legendary, so...he should follow the crowd! How was he going to help against a big bird though? He only had two Pokemon! Ah, to heck with type disadvantages!
❝Let's pitch in, Forest! Use Razor Leaf!❞
<My leaves won't even reach it!> the Turtwig cried, but he did his best anyway to wait for an opportunity when the bird swooped low enough that he could launch the attack.
FOREST the TURTWIG USED RAZOR LEAF! Prompt #112: [zprompt]VjpPNVUd1d1001d100

There are many players present now – this final section of the tower seeming to expand to accommodate the multitudes who came to bear witness. Only, they will not simply be observing it would seem, as one final foe appeared. As the mega Pidgeot launched its assault on the legendary, players all around the space responded to Zygarde's call for aid.
With a vicious grin, Taylor releases Vixey, urging her to join the fray. “See if you can distract it a little, Vix!” She called out in suggestion to the canine fire-type. Blood pumping in exhilaration, she watched as the Vulpix dashed forwards, throwing a CONFUSE RAY towards the avian opponent.
VIXEY the VULPIX USED CONFUSE RAY!

Well, well, well. Here they were. About time, too.
Smash cut a couple months back, and Jade was just a newb trying to find a sunny place to take a nap on a big tree up in the branches. Few months later and here she was right back at the bottom, though hell if this time it wasn't underground and locked in by stone and rock on all sides and infested with goddamn worms.
In the end, all the worms had crawled together to make a huge, serpentine creature, which had thanked them for their help. Jade was scratching her head at this point, but sure. "Glad to help," she said to the huge thing, a bit impressed in spite of herself. The way the tessellations across its body rippled and shifted, its huge, hexagonal eyes-- it was like some cyber-worm from an alien planet. Neat, she thought. Her usual fight-and-flight response wasn't triggered, if only because of the sheer bizarreness of the situation. There was nothing about this that reminded her of real life.
Then she ducked and rolled out of the way, cursing, as Mega Pidgeot attacked.
"Dammit!" she choked out. She looked up in shock to see the big bird tear handfuls of cells from the mother snake and felt physically sick. Ouch. "I'm on it!" she croaked, scrambling on all fours to her feet. They had to help. Hell, she had to help.
Once Jenny was on the hook for something, she didn't let go so easily.
"Billie, you're a worm. Let's go!"
Jade sent out her Wurmple, Billie. He was such a cute little guy she hadn't spent much time training him, but he was all she got. The piece of paper which had fluttered down and landed in her head said use a worm Pokemon. Wurm, wurmple. That was the biggest hint she had.
Hugging the little bugger to her chest, she pointed up at Big Momma Snake. "String Shot, let's try to keep her from coming apart!" Hell, who knew what would happen if she lost too much of her body?
<Affirmative. Target, locked. Aim, set. String Supply, charging.> The Wurmple droned.
"What? Go, go, go!"
<3... 2... 1...> Counting himself down, Billie began to thrash adamantly as sticky string shot from his mandibles, shooting out and tangling up the Mega Pidgeot's wings. It also fell in loops over the big Zygarde, anchoring extra cells from falling out of place. Jade held onto her bug Pokemon like it was a jet pack, digging in her heels to absorb the kickback from its tremendous power. The hell have I been feeding this thing? It handled like a Super Soaker.
Jade used Wurmple! Wurmple used String Shot! NEXT PROMPT (114): [zprompt] cD27xE9X1-501-50

Birds were something that Ibis loved. I mean, duh, right? The name and everything. But that freedom, the ability to fly, the fact that they could move for the winter or the summer and stay together and then come back... as free as the wind, and all that. Except, this bird was less "free and chill and flying around" and more "big big big big Pidgeot very angry"
If anybody was going to be of use, it was probably Mareep, because flying types and electric types and all that, but... sometimes rule of cool was way more important than the actual stats, and why not bring Risha out instead?
With a flick of his wrist, the ball is let loose, and the little Vulpix lands on the ground with poise. If foxes had the ability to adjust their glasses all megane-like, Risha would certainly have that whole cool pose situation sorted. However, the little fox - and foxes count as member of the dog family, by the way - had slightly bigger problems than looking cool. Instead, he realised the sitch before Pace could even finish explaining.
"Ri, the bird, try using-"
The Vulpix huffed and shook his tails, just a little, and then a lot. The waving of those nine little furry appendages grew faster, slower, trippier, wavier, fuzzier. Then all of a sudden, Risha let out a great cry and flicked his tails forward, hard, launching forward an Extrasensory attack at the great Pidgeot, at an attempt to fry it's brain just a little. Tree of Worms: Conclusion! The hurricane breaks, and the air around you settles into place. The stone serpent's flickering green eyes pass across you, segments of its face blinking off and on like hexagonal traffic lights. "You have my thanks, trainers," it says, uncoiling to fill more and of the cavern. "The birds are but one segment of the ecosystem. They do not control this tree, though they may act like it, but without them everything would fall into disarray."
Zygarde unwinds, pressing back against the trainers in the cramped space of the cave. Its coils part, and a pair of stony black eggs are revealed from among its stone coils.
"These young ones are close to hatching. Take them up into the world above, and show them the importance of peace and order. There is balance needed between all things, and where nature is threatened it is vital that me, or a part of me, can be there to restore order."
The world dissolves into light. You are back outside the Tree of Worms. A banner springs into being before your eyes, showering you with celebratory confetti. CHALLENGE TOWER COMPLETE! CONGRATULATIONS!
