They don't walk far before they spot signs of the presence of Pokémon, this time in the form of a dented spire, smashed rocks, and tracks on the ground. What had happened here?

"Do wild Pokémon battle each other?" It would make sense if they do, but in all of her time playing UNOVR, Tuesday has only see it happen in very special instances that probably don't really count.

<'Uhm.... Probably? I don't know. I've never lived in the wild.'>

"Oh... Yeah, true. Alright, well... Let's see what we got."

They step closer, both of them at the ready for a battle.

With the Rufflet incident now behind them, Tuesday and Cid continue to walk through the Steppes' plains, right among the tall grass where wild Pokémon supposedly dwell.

It takes a while, but eventually Cid alerts Tuesday of anther Pokémon's presence: right ahead, hidden in the tall grass.

Surely it can't be anything too large, right? Surely something like a Duraludon would never be able to hide in the grass... right?

On they go, continuing with their search. The grind truly never ends. Some people would call all of this tedious, boring, and pointless, but Tuesday... Tuesday likes having goals and achieving them. She likes pushing herself. And, most important of all, she really fucking likes getting stronger. In a way, it's just like how Mars loves exercise and new investment opportunities. It's all about power, isn't it?

Ironically, all of those are more things she shouldn't ponder on while hunting for Pokémon, and she definitely does not. Why would she analyse her own motivations? She damn well knows she loves power, and in UNOVR, more Bytes can lead to more power.

"Alright! Let's go west." She decides then, hoping for some luck.

Going west isn't doing them any favours so far, but Tuesday is nothing if not determined (read: stubborn), so of course she'll just keep walking until finding something useful. Why not, right? After all, it has usually worked for her in the past.

Eventually, sooner or later, a steel Pokémon will cross their path.

<'This way!'> Cid declares, apparently having heard something with those huge Jolteon ears of hers. She jumps forward, leading Tuesday towards a nearby spire.

"Oh..."

What they find by the next spire is not a Pokémon, but a tunnel. It's big enough for Tuesday herself to step into it standing with a problem and it's so deep that the light from the sun up above doesn't shine far enough to show its end. What had dug it? Are they still living inside it or had something else taken it? There's no way they're unlucky enough for it too be empty...

<'We're going in, right?'> Cid asks, easily assuming Tuesday's intent. Instead of replying, the catwoman gives her Pokémon a smirk, stepping forward into the darkness...

Tuesday sits up, in no rush to stand, and while she sits there she watches as the Klink and Cid engage in the dance of combat. The steel type levitates, out of reach from most of the Jolteon's physical attacks, but that sure doesn't stop Cid from trying to jump high enough to bite.

Blows are exchanged in the form of electric sparks, but when the Klink makes the mistake of getting close to get a grip on the Jolteon's tail, Cid is ready to strike, brutally kicking the pair of gears.

Having done this for quite a while now, Tuesday has become rather versed in knowing when a Pokémon is about to bite the dust. That's how things look like right now.

Thus, while Cid fights, the Alchemist stands, brushing dust off her clothes and reaching for her golden Pokéball. It's time.

"Good work, Cid. I think we can call it a day."

Until the next time she logs in, that is, when they return to the Steppes to continue hunting.
