Born on May 10th in Las Vegas, United States during the late hours of the morning to Shane and Melanie Whitehall along with her twin sister. The smallest baby of the two had been named Lucille. Her left arm shrivelled and underdeveloped inside the womb due to the umbilical cord wrapping around it, cutting off the circulation. The arm was soon amputated with consent from her parents not long after birth as the doctors could do nothing to try and save it. However, the joy of new children felt at home was fleeting because of their parents filing for divorce, the twins were soon separated once it had been finalized that both parents would get custody over one twin each. Lucille ended up living with her father alone in their spacious home while her sister was taken away to live with their mother.OUT OF

At the age of five, Lucille had gotten used to doing things with one of her arms absent, though being somewhat unsteady while she was learning to crawl and walk as a baby but that eventually changed with time and much practice. She was excited at the idea of beginning school in a few weeks and to meet other children that she could make friends with. She had an interest in reading books because of her father reading her to sleep every night while he tucked her into bed. She was sure some of the other children would be interested in things like that too. However, Lucille being young could only say various words that had been taught to her by her aunts, uncles and the rest of her large family whenever they would have family gatherings and she was fawned over for being the youngest child in the family.
The few weeks passed and Lucille had started school, her teacher introducing her to the class and a few of the children stared at her as if they were unsure of what to think of the girl with the missing arm. One of the children finally raised their hand to ask about the arm and why Lucille's was gone. The teacher explained thoroughly so that Lucille wouldn't feel awkward since she was sure that the girl was already feeling quite nervous on her first day as it is. The teacher seemed pleased that her students were at least somewhat understanding her new pupils' situation and asked one of the pupils to help show Lucille around the school before lessons were to begin. The girl that volunteered became Lucille's first friend at her new school and over the months that pass Lucille attracts a small close-knit group of friends that she talks to and hangs around with regularly, even inviting them around to her home for sleepovers and parties.
Once Shane was sure Lucille had settled into her school properly-- he felt he was able to work and was able to pick up shifts that were finished by the time Lucille needed to be picked up so it worked well for him and he was thankful that he was able to start saving for things to help his daughter with everyday life. Though some of the other children at the school still liked to point and laugh at Lucille for being different which caused concern with her father after she comes home one day and explains about it. It causes his daughter to become self-conscious about her lack of an arm despite her friends telling her that she shouldn't pay the others any mind.
By the time Lucille is eight, her father had saved up enough for Lucy to have her very own custom prosthetic but she would have to undergo surgery to have the prosthetic work properly via an attachment to what was left of her bicep, they would have to wait till Lucille was at least ten before the plan could go ahead since the prosthetic would need to change as the child aged and their bodies grew over time. At the age of ten, Lucille underwent the surgery to have the attachment mechanism placed onto what was left of her bicep and connect to her nerves so that the arm could function and move as good as a regular arm.
During the few weeks of recuperating and getting used to her new arm, Lucille was gifted a Gameboy Color from her father along with a copy of Pokémon Yellow and the rest was history upon booting up the game and hearing the little jingle that played, Lucille was hooked. She followed the Pokémon series she loved so much, every game and console that it went on and watched the TV show as it aired. Following along a singular Protagonist and his trusty Pikachu. Eventually though, the luster of the Pokémon franchise wore off around the Fifth generation's release, Lucille had moved onto other games and consoles, no longer thinking back to her adventures in the Pokémon world by the age of sixteen. Instead she would focus on various JRPGs and other games that caught her attention, namely Final Fantasy, Persona and Metroid.
At the age of twenty-one, Lucille receives her latest prosthetic and decides to paint it a red color to go with the matte-black metal alloy that it is made of. She has long quit her old job in retail and begins work as a Night Club Manager during the hours of the night. Lucille had found herself staring at women or rather checking them out though rather sheepish at first. It wasn't until one Halloween night she was tipsy that one of her closest female friends had kissed her. Her friend also being rather drunk at the time. With Lucille's mind being a mess, she stood shocked at first but didn't fight it, instead finding herself returning the kiss with one of her own. The whole thing felt comfortable and right to her. By the morning Lucille had wondered what had even happened between the two of them but things didn't seem awkward between them when the time for them to hang out came around. They both talked and one sidedly-laughed at various subjects as they always had before, so Lucille had chalked it up to just her friends' drunken escapades that were forgotten the morning after-- though Lucille herself was still conscious of it all and remembered details here and there.
At the age of Twenty-six, Lucille looks into the idea of fostering a child or two, her home is big enough and it does get feel quite too big for just her to be living in. She takes in two children after a long and arduous process with background checks and regular visits. Going out of her way to make the two children feel at home and settle in over time.
A month or so after; her eye is caught by an advertisement for the new Nintendo WorldScreen VR console along with the new Pokémon spinoff game. Being hit with a wave of Nostalgia and curiosity, she orders both. Time passes and eventually the two items arrive, once they were set up, Lucille spends what time off she has from work playing UNOVR. Lucille when in game prefers to listen instead of talk, finding that oftentimes she doesn't have much to say anyways. Her face is stoic, wearing barely any emotion save for the occasional frown or slight smile, and her voice is likewise just as flat. She's not one to react to things in large outward bursts of expression; there's no display of shock with her, there's no gaping mouth or flustered, sputtering words following a sudden surprise, just a blank stare, maybe a widening of the eyes or a light grimace, but nothing more.INSIDE
THE
GAME
With this as her general presentation, it's no secret she's unexcitable; the most animated she's bound to get is a silent, airy laugh, with her hands crossed over her chest like chains. She has a habit of being calm to the point of perceived apathy, and in some cases this might be true; Lucille has a hard time bringing herself to care about the lives of others unless they're personally close to her or in immediate danger, and likewise she has a hard time taking threats seriously, not because she sees herself as infallible, but because she sees herself as a passive actor in her own life.
She's kind, as unresponsive as she is; she'll go out of her way to help others, no matter her own personal thoughts on their toil (she'd never voice such things unless prompted, and even then her words would be soft, vague, cushioned) if only to appease some sort of karmic god. She wonders if she can find some sense of purpose inside of this Virtual Reality game. Maybe even come out of her shell a little more and retread childhood memories?
