Whilst it wasn’t exactly the right form of Ponyta that she’d been hoping to find, she’d heard that there was a way to switch between forms at certain shrines, and was hoping that there would be a way to switch to Alolan forms. If there wasn’t, then a second fire-type certainly wouldn’t be the worst thing to have, regardless!

All that aside, there was the battle to get through, first! The wild Ponyta landed a solid blow against Decibelle, and the Audino shook her head as though to shake off the blow, before returning with a Zen Headbutt!

And apparently that healing had been all that was needed. The dual attacks from Belle and Cinder combined to deal significant enough damage that the Ponyta went down, falling to the floor with a soft thud.

“Good job, guys!” Tam called, approaching the wild pokemon as she withdrew a pokeball. Reaching the now fainted pokemon, she crouched beside it and tapped its flank gently with the ball. “Let’s go get you healed up, friend,” she breathed softly, waiting for the blinding light of capture to fade before rising to a stand.
