And just like that he was on the road again.
Thundering hooves echoed softly throughout the empty steppes as Orion and Zeus raced like the wind. They'd been at it for about an hour, patrolling the faultline between the corruption zone and the steppes. Warning any newby players to stay away from the danger and searching for steel types to help contribute to Professor Ashe's dreams of building a maglev train to supply the expedition north. Admittedly, both of those things were simply excuses. In reality, Orion simply relished having a reason to fuck around in the steppes. The wide open air and aggressive cowboy aesthetic reminded him a little bit of home, and truly he could be free of all the random mundane bullshit of his day to day life.
Yet even in this profound freedom he managed to find a way to tie his hands down in minutia. Ironic? Perhaps, but this was the good minutia that made his brain fire off with the happy chemicals and not the bad one.
That all being said, with the wind in his hair and riding off the mild high a partial job well done Orion continued down the border of hell and heaven and cleared his minds of any intrusive thoughts, allowing himself to truly be in the moment.
