It was the early morning. When normally on her days off, the woman would have slept in until around eight to catch up on much needed z’s. But, determination was on her side. And instead of being a responsible adult and getting chores done or errands done, Rhaenyra logged on the game at six in the morning to fish all day if she had too. That dratini will be hers even if it’s the death of her.
Mouth opened wide, hand instinctively rose to cover her tired yawn. Apple golden orbs sleepy, not even fully awake yet. She moved to the water edge, queuing up a fishing rod to start her long day. The wolf eared woman sat down on the edge of the water, getting comfortable before she casted her bait out. It splashed against the waters surface, sinking down where her eyes couldn’t see. She took in a deep breath. Please. Dratini.

The first bite actually didn’t take long. And as soon as she felt the tug, the woman began to pulled the fishy to the surface. However, Lady Luck wasn’t on her side. Although the blue shimmer of scales tricked her for a split second, the familiar frame of a magikarp soon came into view and her smile fell too.
The woman cursed, letting the line loose and letting the magikarp go. Although the blue scaled fish looked beautiful, she didn’t want another magikarp. And besides, that’s not what she’s here for. After putting more bait on the hook, Rhaenyra casted her line out and waited for another bite. spawn reset

Now, the waiting game starts. A heavy sigh escaped her, pale golden orbs shifted from the water’s still surface to the blue skies above. Although she had made no plans today other than play this game, Rhaenyra couldn’t help but feel like she forgot something. Speaking of no plans, would that mean she was addicted to this game if she had dedicated a whole day to it. Either way, the woman was ready for the long day ahead. Dratini were very rare spawns. It should take a while.

Sleepiness was starting to get the best of her. And just as she was about to knocked out, a tug on the line work her up. The wolf jumped, her grip tightened on the rod as she bang to pull it in. Whatever was on the other side, was a fighter. Rhaenyra really struggled to pull it in. But when she saw the frame of the fish, she knew what it was.
A disappointed sigh escaped her. Letting the line go, it swarm away feverishly and soon was free complete. The player pulled the hook in, placed another bait, and casted her line out to try again. Two spawns deep so far. Thirty minutes into the game has already passed. spawn reset

Time has passed. Rhaenyra sitting on the shoreline, spacing out over the still water waiting for the next fish to bite. Her thoughts moved from one thing to the next. She needed to finish the tutorials. Gain her first star so she could join a guild, even if she never actually partakes in the guilds activity. If she wanted to increase her power level to do things solo, she needed to get stronger over all. A heavy sigh escaped her.

Everything was peaceful. Then, a harsh tug pulls on the line. The fishing rod nearly ripped from her grasp. Hands tightened on the handle, swiftly getting to her feet to get a better leverage. Rhaenyra reeled the line in, struggling to pull whatever was on the line. And as the line came closer and closer, the shimmer of green scales began visible.
Pale golden orbs rolled, one hand releasing the line as the basculin was swift to get away. Yes, the wolf girl knew that they were rare. But, thats not what she wanted. After all, what use were they anyway. Once the line was free, the woman replaced the bait and casted her line out again. Returning to her comfy spot, the woman waited for the next one. spawn reset

Several more minutes had passed sense the last little nibble, leaving wolf girl time to think to herself about what she wants to achieve in the game. It was hard to say, only now really thinking of what her end game was. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Time to yourself was good. But alas, time to think to yourself while waiting for a fish to bite wasn’t what she had in mind. Rhaenyra turned her gaze to the thin clouds in the deep blue digital sky. Maybe, bring out one of her pokemon would help keep her awake.

A few tugs on the line indicated something has fell for the trap. Lazily, the wolf hybrid pulled the fish in. It didn’t seem to fight much this time, giving the impression that whatever it was is weak. And as soon as she saw the common orange scales on the familiar frame of a magikarp, Rhaenyra cursed under her breath and let the line go. Come on dratini. Give Rhaenyra a break. spawn reset

If she thought waiting thirty minutes was long, this time was even longer. The woman cursed under her breath, about ready to give up on this dratini dream. It wasn’t far. Yet, it probably was. Pale golden orbs glared at the water, as if that would do anything. Whatever she caught next, she was done. Maybe she should look into trading for one instead. It might be easier.

A tug on the line meant she had a bite. The wolf woman stood, rolling the line up while the fish fought back with all its might. And as the fish came closer to the surface, the game proved to her it was out to get her. The shimmer of normal orange scales refilled off the water surface, causing the woman to shout into the heaves a series of profanities that she was sure she would get ding for later.
Grumbling to her rest, Rhaenyra pulled the fish to the surface and tossed a pokemon out to battle it. The froakie materialized within seconds, beady eyes on the flailing fish. “Kill it,” she growled angrily, wishing she could beat this fish up herself, “Pound it into the earth.” “Are you sure?” “Yes.” His shoulder rose and fell in a shrug, leaping to jump upon the fish and pound it into the ground as it flailed.

The fish seemed unaffected by the pounding, flailing about angrily at them and even making to hit the froakie. He grunted, landing on his feet but still hurt form the hit. “Again,” the woman growled, arms folded over her chest, “Hit it again.” Froakie let out a huff, leaping again to pound the fish into the ground. The magikarp flailed, attempting to dodge but with no prevailed.

Dang this fish was strong! Rhaenyra was impressed, watching as her Frankie pounded the fish into the ground and seemingly unaffected it. In fact, it still had some fight in it. It failed about again, sending Cragen back a few paces. The water type grunted, charging forth by his own accord. His limbs moved faster this time, a quick attack surely should knock out the lam fish. Behind him, Rhaenyra felt her announce level rise.

This magikarp was tough. It has not only lasted longer than other magikarp, but it is actually putting out some good damage as well. If it wasn’t so useless, Rhaenyra might have actually wanted to keep it instead of sending it to one of the threads. All well. Cragen was quick to recover from the splash, even casting the orange scaly fish a dark leer. It casted it right back.
“Serious dude,” the woman grumbled, hands fell upon her hips, “Take it out already. Quick attack it.” The fraokoe casted his trainer a look, only for her to motion for him to get it over with and attack. He sighed, leaping up into the air only for him to let gravity do the work and pound the flailing fish into the ground. It wiggled, trying to attack back.

Finally, it seemed that her newly caught froakie was actually putting out some damage. And as he poured the fish into the ground, the magikarp flailed about to knock it off. Despite the damage, Rhaenyra frowned. She really needed to get her pokemon stronger. This was getting ridiculous. “Again Cragen,” the woman grumbled, “Don’t stop until it’s out.” She didn’t even want to keep it. She just wanted it to trade it.
The water type starter leaped high into the air, large eyes on the orange scaly fish as he let gravity once again pull him back down the earth. With all his might, the froakie pounded the magikarp into the ground. Hopefully, causing some serious damage this time around.
