At this point one might wonder why Mars hadn't just done away with the catgirl/catwoman persona and made use of his own appearance, if comfort during battle is so important. But, the thing is... Tuesday will always be Tuesday, and when out here, in UNOVR, Mars is not really himself — he's her. How could he allow her to completely disappear? The game just wouldn't be the same for him without that cat of questionable morals who really loves a good battle.

So, Tuesday remains, even if she has changed. Upgraded, if you will. New looks, new armour, and both old companions and new. Now, here's to hoping for her also having great new experiences.

Speaking of which...

"Ha... Woah...Fuc—...Ho-o- oop..."

In lieu of anything to lean on, Ancile holds her up, immovable while midair by her side. It's not until Tuesday catches her breath and puts Tyrfing back on her belt that she begins to feel somewhat better, her lightheaded fading despite the amount of ozone that always seems to be present in the air of this often-thundering place.

<'Tyrfing, do not steal Lady Tuesday's energy.'> Ancile demands, and for a second Tuesday is confused about what he means, but then it all makes perfect sense. She looks down at her spectral blade.

"The fuck? You're doing that?"

<'If you don't want me, then you better get me something to slice, child.'> Tyrfing huffs, a sound that comes with a metallic ring to it. <'I must feed.'>

At least once they start walking through the plains again, Tuesday can finally take a proper break and assess her armour's performance. It's been going well so far. This version is lighter than the previous one, even with the heavy feather cape, and although it will take some more getting used to, there's definitely an increase in her agility. Being taller helps a ton too.

As for her Pokémon's performance... As always, she has no complaints about Ancile, but Tyrfing might become a problem if she keeps up this 'energy thief' thing.

They'll need to work on that. So, Tuesday gets to work with considering possible plans to improve things.

"Okay, but what about trees? Those are sentient and have energy too."

<'No.'>

"Ha. Give me your reasoning at least."

<'I am not an axe for cutting down trees.'>

Tuesday laughs lightly at that, a smirk tugging at her lips. The fact that that's Tyrfing's only reason means that she's at least not opposed to unmoving enemies. Which might allow for some loopholes.

"What about Phantump or Trevenant?"

<'Those are ghosts possessing trees. Don't you know anything, child?'>

"Ah, so possessed objects are okay. Gotya."

Instead of saying anything in response, Tyrfing huffs.

"What if they block?"

Tyrfing sighs, clearly wishing they were slicing something or that Tuesday were at least wielding her so she could take her energy and make her shut up. Sometimes, when negotiating, attrition is the best approach to wear the other party down. Tuesday is well aware of that.

<'...I guess that's alright. It better only happen sometimes, though.'>

Bingo.

"Ha! Then you better hit them with attacks they can't block."

None of this is exactly what Tuesday had expected, but it also isn't bad at all. The change in appearance, the armour, her Pokémon... they're like pieces that fit together perfectly into the puzzle that is her life in UNOVR. Better yet, like the sharp shards that form a beautiful mosaic.

She does love her metaphors, does she not?

These ones in particular bring a faint smile to her lips, although that smile is quick to fade when hearing the distinct sound of a Pokémon charging into battle.

After a moment, some spear jabbing, and the fact that it could not get Ancile to even budge, they drive the Blitzle back. Tuesday smirks, satisfied, but her satisfaction is quickly interrupted by the eerie voice of the sword at her waist.

<'Take me to battle already, child.'>

This one, she's the one who sighs.

"Look, Tyrfing, if we're going to do this, you need to start being more patient... and stop calling me child, you don't even know my age."

<'You act like a child.'>

"Pfft. See? Now you're the one who's bullshitting."
