‘TIL DEATH DO YOU PART?

Death. It always comes down to that. A looming threat of the death, a desire to kill, or a need to survive no matter what the cost might be. Everything you care for dies. Is that also the way it will be here? Is that Tuesday's fate too? Will she be the death of everything that matters to her in this world, by her own hand or as a result of her actions?

When she looks at that winged statue of a face she knows well, she wonders that for a moment, but in polished marble she sees her answer.

No child, no.

As if the sound of war drums, her steps echo upon the courtyard's cobblestone, one after another, up until she pauses right before the statue. She stands there, tall and proud, golden eyes looking into those made of marble as a Tuesday that had been controlled by delusions never would have once. There is no circlet, the once significant piece of jewellery having been forged into the adorned hilt and crossguard of the dagger at her belt. There is, however, the articuno egg, and it's said egg that grows colder and colder with the closer the statue gets, freezing Tuesday's gauntlets. Were it not for the subclass perk that allows her to withstand the cold, she would have probably dropped it...

Do not settle for this land of dust and solitude.

She does not belong here, that much is true. Not her, nor the freezing egg she holds, even if its mist now spreads all around her.

"Perhaps I should thank you." She admits to the statue in a calm and smooth tone, each word akin to velvet and yet also laced in poison. She knows well this is not the actual princess, but the words need to be said, and for all she knows, that harpy still dwell somewhere in this Dream Kingdom. "Back then, that day in the Timberlands, when we first met... You might not know this, but it was one of my first days in this place, and it helped me determine what kind of person I want to be when here..."

Tuesday who had chosen to steal the princess' circlet instead of attempting to wake her as the quest requested. Even if another copy of the circlet had appeared at that exact moment, it had marked the truth: Tuesday is selfish. Tuesday has questionable morals. Tuesday always puts her own needs and desires above all else, caring little for others no matter how charming and outgoing she might often be. She lies, she cheats, she scams, she steals, and she laughs throughout all of it. She "kills" if she feels as if she should. She sacrifices Pokémon without a single concern for their wellbeing or how long they'll end up roaming the Everworld. She does whatever the hell she wants, testing just how far this world will let her go.

And, the best part of it all?

Even through those moments that have ignited that rage that is usually dormant in her, she has enjoyed every moment of this journey that begun right here: with her, the Princess, and a circlet.

The egg pulsates with that thought, and then, at that very moment, a shattering sound overtakes this Dream World for a single second.

A long battle awaits you but you will be
Triumphant.
