[ti]solo[/ti]It's Now or Never

To say that Vernon pleaded to go to UNOVRCon 2023 was an understatement. He groveled, even said that he would perform if it meant he could at least get a day or two to explore the convention grounds. Turned out that many other bands and groups had the same idea, so for a while, his manager was very dodgy about whether he was able to get the slot or not. After figuratively pacing around for weeks, the manager called him and his fellow members to their meeting room--

--and then presented the tickets on the table.

He basically looked like a child on Christmas day, except it was near the end of summer and they were going to one of the biggest conventions that he had ever been to. Hell, he was more excited for this than his own local concert! Actually, to hell with concerts, he wanted to be a part of the crowd! Explore! Play! Maybe even catch a glimpse of some usernames that he had seen in the raid! But nooo, he had to perform (and he did promise, it made sense, but it had to be on Day 1?! When the Opening Ceremony happens?! Maybe that was a blessing in disguise since the next patch announcement was on the following day, but he didn't want to miss a thing!

But he would be a good little Vernon and perform so that it would lead to less complications later. He could find time to sneak out or also walk around during the lunch breaks - at least he had the performer pass so that meant he could wander around the different venues with little restrictions. Right now though, with the summer heat still prickling before noon, he had to endure. At least to entertain the others waiting in line for their passes and maybe get some publicity in. Not like Starfall needed it.
