Torino and Grookey sprinted through the Marill sprinklers, laughing as they got soaked in the refreshing spray. It was just like Summer back in one of her gardens. In Torino's mind, a garden meant green. Lots of water. Preferably a statue of a cherub or animal spraying water into a duck-filled pool.
Well this park ticked all the boxes.
The Marill played the part of both cherub and duck pond, and Torino watched them shoot sprays of water back and forth across the lawn and into each other's mouths.
She frowned a little.
"Simone I do not like these fountains," she admitted.
Simone dutifully bonked one of the Marill on the head with his stick, knocking it out. He began rolling it towards the park entrance.
Torino followed behind, the pair of them now taking some care to avoid the jubilant sprays. PROMPT 70: [Tower] us0x1heq1-501-50

It seemed that the solosis weren’t that bad of a ball for the two canine. While Zacian voiced its concern about the matter, Zamazenta wasn’t fazed at all. In fact, the shield canine bounced around like a big happy puppy without a care in the world. It made it hard to appear as a tough player when there was cuteness before her eyes.
But just as the scene set, another came to. The temperatures rose, causing little marills to surface and shower the grounds in water. Wolf was quick to dodge a spray, preferring not to get wet. Zacian agreed, requesting for them to stop them from spraying. Couldn’t it just say for it to stop?
In no time, many of the players jumped into action. All of them much faster than her train of thought, apparently. A single sprinkler rose from the ground behind her, spraying her from behind and causing the woman to shout. She turned to glare at it, summoning a creature within seconds and ordering it destroy it. The umbreon eyed the marill, giving the pokemon looking thing the BABY DOLL EYES in hope it would stop.

FLOOR 8: KOFFING BALLS Zamazenta barks and snaps at the Marill as they spray him at full force, filling his mouth with water. "WHARGARBLBLBLBL!"
Zacian watches, rooted to her spot at the entrance to the park. "Thank you, my brother is enjoying a reprieve from the Summer heat."
After ten minutes of hostile spraying, Zamazenta trots back to the park gate. His fur is thoroughly soaked, and his tongue lolls happily from his mouth. "Ball!" he barks.
"It looked quite refreshing, yes."
"Ball!"
"I would very much rather you didn't."
Zamazenta ignored her, shaking out his fur and sending Marill water spraying in every direction. "Ball ball!"
Back in the park, an evening show of Koffing has been released into the evening air. They float through the evening air, leaving trails of colored smoke behind them. A worthy plaything for Zamazenta? Only one way to find out!
You have collected 70 Balls and unlocked Snubbull (U)! The next reward (Growlithe) will be unlocked at 80 Balls.

Well, the last time he was here, he was able to bring a few water-spraying round Pokemon over to the bulky dogs, and they seemed happy about it (particularly the crimson one, who only knew how to say one word). But that was not the end of it, it looked like, because once the game had given him the notification of (You got a Snubbull!), there was another one that popped up that meant they could continue the tower. Well, the park.
As it turned out, that meant a different kind of "ball" was going to roll in, one that was way more unpleasant than the one in the last round.
❝Oh, that's a...erm, what was it again?❞ it was certainly an old Pokemon, he had seen it before, but the name escaped him. There was also other stuff escaping it too - some kind of gas that didn't smell...actually, it didn't smell terrible, but it was strong, and if he inhaled it face first he might gag. What was the prompt again? Oh right, okay, he actually only had one Pokemon who could do this because he recently popped him in a class.
The Druddigon jumped out of the Poke Ball and used his weight to slam onto the ground (for no reason other than he wanted to). He let out a growl before seeing all of the "balls" floating around, and he too was excited by them and started trying to catch them. ❝Hey wait--Mugan!❞
He was trying to bite the balls, but they didn't fit into his mouth, and passing through one of those colorful smokes made the dragon pause and retch. He didn't like them anymore and started to swat them away. Arthur had to get him to swat them a particular direction, and he still needed to satisfy the prompt.
❝Mugan, try to use Metal Claw!❞
Well, he wasn't really listening - he was mostly using Scratch and Dragon Tail, but with Arthur's insistence, the Druddigon realized that he could use a new move that was more powerful than Scratch, and so he made his claws glow and extend before whacking them fervently.

After the unpleasantness of the Marill, Torino was glad for something that was only stinky. Stink wasn't bad! Anyone who worked with plants knew that mother nature was sometimes smelly. "Okay Marocchino! Let us get a flying purple ball for Zamazenta!"
Her Houndour raced off, snapping at a Koffing and shooting little spurts of Ember into the air to corral it towards the entrance. The trail of purple smoke cut a wavering line through the dusk air.
Torino had wanted to pet the big dogs at the entrance when she dropped off the Marill, but one of them had a very cold aura, and the other a very wet coat. Maybe next time, once the wet one had dried off.
"Oh! Kyukon!" she called, waving to him as she ran across the park. "It is nice to see you in a place not on fire!" She looked over to her Houndour, which was still shooting Embers into the sky. "I will be careful. It is okay!"

She had sat out of the nonsense for a while, not particularly seeing a moment where she wanted to jump in. But with the Koffing coming around, things were getting a bit too dangerous for her tastes.
”Safeguard, Tikani, so we don’t choke from the gases.”
”I hear you!” the Bayleef replied, glimmering as she set up protective fields around everyone she could reach, repelling any Koffing that got Ideas.

It had been... a long time since Nero had last been in this park. He'd had no-one but his starter back then, having somehow wandered from the tutorial zone right into this place because the words 'challenge tower' had sounded appropriately cool to him. He'd wanted to show off straight away after a... mixed bag of tutorials, having even veered off in the middle of them to smooth over his ego before returning to finish them off. He liked to think he wasn't quite so desperate for other players to think well of him now... but in truth he'd probably just got better at hiding it over time.
At least he wasn't over-compensating so much anymore. He had felt small and weak as a beginner, desperate for a reward from this tower just to grow his team at all, but now? Well, the Tauros walking beside him, flicking its tails and snorting hot air out of its nostrils, was more than enough intimidation alone for Nero to not need to puff out his own chest and stomp around like he thought he was the Beedrill's knees. That casual nature actually improved his image immeasurably too, making this return feel somewhat glamorous for him in its own way.
He was here for business though, not pleasure, so he tried not to waste time basking in his own glory (cringe-worthy in itself, but it was rare that he felt so positive about anything so perhaps the world would just let him have this moment) as he looked around for the necessary ball. He seemed to remember chasing one down last time too, but these were Koffing, weren't they? Definitely a different species than last time, but nothing his Tauros couldn't handle. "Poison type, right?" he said allowed, looking towards the bull Pokemon and smirking. "All yours, dude." A loud snort came from the Tauros as a hoof scraped at the ground. His head lowered a moment latter, glowing a strange pink colour as he turned his focused towards the floating Koffing. Another scrape of the hoof, a toss of the head, and a Zen Headbutt was being thrust towards the floating ball of gas in front of them, ready to launch it in the direction of the waiting dog.

Everyone in UNOVR must have been notified that Growlithe was the next Pokémon up for grabs; the place was crowded despite the danger of Koffing gases making Josh wheeze. He weakly waved toward Kyukon and Nero , squinting toward the ticker above the park's entrance. He had a single-stage Pokémon that was perfect for the job. "Get 'em, Goroh," Josh weakly commanded his Cyclizar, trying to avoid inhaling as much of the polluted air as he could.
Getting the message, the friendly dragon entered a wheelie-fueled RAPID SPIN in an effort to blow some of the toxic air away from the park and make breathing a little easier. The counterclockwise rotation created an updraft in front of him, sending one of the Koffing catapulting skyward until the height limit deadened its upward momentum.

Wolf observed the scene unfold, fighting the urge to giggle as the zamazenta shook the water off and drenched anyone who was near it. Of course, the hybrid was quick to move away from the splash radius. Almost getting soaked, but thankfully she was out of the splash zone. And just as they managed to finished the next quest, the sun started to set to cue next task.
Little purple poisonous living meteorite floated into the park, emitting smoke all the while. The player could already see how this was going to play out, but played along in hopes that she could collect every dog that tower had to offer. Many players sprang into action, everyone wanting her personal favorite pokemon. Wolf spotted a koffing that needed to be caught, plucking a pokemon from her pocket and summoning it within seconds.
The mashtomp materialized, a wide smile on his lips. “Sense you are less likely to get poisoned, can you knock some of them out of the sky for me?” Jethro’s gaze shifted to a cluster of koffing, slamming his fist into the ground to break up the earth. He snatched a clutter of ROCKs then began to THROW them at the clutter.

The moment the next Pokémon notification for the Tower went up—he had a feeling that people were going to fight for slots just for this one.
It was a classic, by all means—and a highly-prized one, to boot!
(Not to mention he had the Kindler class, so this also meant that he wanted to get his hands on one.)
Arriving at the scene of chaos, he realized that most everyone was trying to get their hands (or paws?) on a Growlithe, so he had to act fast otherwise he’d end up missing the damned thing by a few!
A quiet sort of whistle summoned Muninn the Murkrow, front and center—who immediately squawked and charged at the nearest Koffing with a surprise Sucker Punch!
Okay, that secured him this one at least.

Lucille somehow found an internet café while she was enjoying her Summer vacation in some tropical far-off land, logging in as soon as she had received an email about the precious doggo tower prizes. The stoic woman's expression briefly quirked. She had raised a shiny Arcanine in the actual games before that she had spent many hours painstakingly breeding for with the Masuda Method, he was quite a bulky tank that she loved to use for stalling tactics. She probably wouldn't expect much different here in Unovr. The idea of having another fluffy dog to wordlessly fawn over internally excited the quiet woman.
"Aymr could you round up some pesky Koffing for Zacian and Zamazenta with Rollout?" She suggested, pale blue irises following the floating purple spheres. The Ghostly Hisuian form of Typhlosion stared at his trainer for a moment before slowly nodding his head and gearing up to practically Spindash– Sonic the Hedgehog style towards the poison-type balls that the two Legendary doggos sought after. "Oh shit are we ballin?" Orion asked, glancing around the park. He'd never been here before, despite a general stance that he'd had that all pokemon were dogs, and well, he was a dog, and he called his homie dawg, he wasn't much for dog parks. The concept was a pipedream in the worn out husk of a town he lived in, could you imagine trying to keep all this grass green in Nevada?
Impossible.
Still, the legendary dogs wanted balls, and Orion would oblige them. "You Achilles, you up for a job bud?"
A flash of red heralded the large incineroar, who with a stretch let out a rumbling purr. "Wassup boss."
"Can you fetch one of those balls for me?" Orion asked. The cat shot him an incredulous look, tail swishing as his eyes narrowed to slits.
"Really dude, do I look like a dog to you?"
"Nah, but you're my dawg, dawg, and I could use a solid. Just real sneaky beaky like." The cat hissed, flicked its tail and then vanished in a flash of darkness, darting off in the shadow of the blades of grass before reappearing with a ball for his master.
"You owe me a trip to the cat cafe for this." NEXT PROMPT (80): [Tower] PB80p6ox1-501-50

"Why are we here again?"
"Cause Rion said this was a way to get the team up." Eddie replied, his eyes dancing off to the distance where his overly excitable cousin was chasing the various dogs around, Achilles the large cat following behind like his shadow.
"And you trust him?" The cat asked, perched on his masters shoulder.
"Implicitly." Eddie replied with a smirk. "He might have a hot temper, and mean right hook when he's mad, but he's family and he loves this place. He'd never steer me wrong."
"He sounds like a liability." Carver purred.
"He puts the ASS in asset." Eddie corrected. "Anyways, you wanna help me get this ball rolling?" He'd motion to one of the many balls that seemed to be abandoned in a tree.
"Sure." The cat, stretched, hopped down, and then sent a barrage of leaves at the ball, knocking it free with the move LEAFAGE. Eddie caught the ball with a level of grace he could never muster with his large, lumbering form IRL.
"Good work, let's reconvene with Orion and Achilles and consolidate our efforts with the others."
"Copy." NEXT PROMPT (81): [Tower] QLwxjn3s1-501-50

FLOOR 9: SPHEAL OF APPROVAL Rainbow smoke billows from Zamazenta's stuffed mouth. His jaws are open as wide as they go with five, maybe six distressed Koffing held proudly in his mouth.
"Ball!" he barks, the word muffled and his face obscured by the smoke. "Ball ball!"
"So I see," says Zacian. She turns to you and her face is set in polite disapproval. [tangent=This is not ideal.]"My brother approves of these new toys,"[/tangent] she says, emphasizing the words with precision so convey her true meaning. [tangent=You must find a replacement as soon as possible]"He will likely remain entertained for some time."[/tangent]
Night falls on the dog park, and with it a light dusting of snow. Spheal roll through the icy grass, leaving little trails that meander and ricochet off gates, trees, and each other.
The Spheal aren't moving fast, but their rubber bodies provide a great challenge for anyone trying to hold on to one.
You have collected 80 Balls and unlocked Growlithe (R)! The next reward (Poochyena) will be unlocked at 90 Balls.

"No, Kyukon , it really is me, Josh!" he insisted. "I'll give you the full story once we're away from the Park of Dogs!" As hard as it was to believe that the scout and rider now looked about fifteen years younger, it was the complete truth. And boy, did he ever have a tale to tell. Reading the legendary Pokémon at face value, he turned his head toward them and asked, "Got a favorite ball yet?"
Information> Park of Dogs 81F
As the platform rose to the Ninth Ascent, it became uncomfortably cold inside the park's bounds, snow covering his hair and shoulders. Josh shivered, squinting to read the distant display for the next hint on a technique to use. Seeing that it was a psychic-type move, it would be a great time to test out the capabilities of his new support Pokémon. "Keleth, use PSYCHIC!" Josh ordered. With a high-pitched whinny, the psychic horse reared, lifting one of the rolling Spheal off the ground and bouncing it into another so that one of them would ricochet directly into Zacian's pen.
