ultraviolet [lucky]

Unfortunately Lucky was following along too. He as well was mesmerized by the tantalizing light, and found himself prey to the whims of the coiling stems and petals. Man was not immune to folly, and even less so to such beauty. He just needed to get a little bit closer...

The first change would begin when he felt a-tapping on his foot. It was a sharp, angry tapping that made him super uncomfortable, and he just had to look at whatever the heck was poking at his toes.

"Aye, quit it you--Will'O? What's going on?" Lucky was confused. Where did the Pokéball in his hand go and where did his Delphox come from? Did he drop his Pokéball somewhere along the line?

You are lost, the wise fox murmured.

"Lost? What happened?"

Listen to the world. Listen to the Will. You move because you cannot understand, Will assures his master. Lucky didn't understand what he was talking about. The Will of what? Could it be that there was something he wasn't registering? Lucky tried to investigate the sand and sea as much as he could, but he just couldn't see far enough. He couldn't see around himself, neither his Pokemon nor the beach, and all that was left was the light to follow. The flower to reach.

The sound and his UI, that was. He noticed that he had a debuff and tried to focus on it.

What kind of developer put such unfinished garbage into the game?! It didn't even have a freaking name label! Also, who used if>then coding anymore? That kind of text had been outdated for years and years...

More importantly than that was the intent behind it. "Am-Am I being piloted?! What a load of garbage!" Lucky figured out what was happening as it happened in real time. He couldn't see how far down in the waves he was, but he knew he was probably going into those waves. He had limited air, slightly more when he manually equipped his Swimming Tutorial Oxygen Gear from his menu.

What could he do right now... He knew just what to do, in fact. This would probably get him banned, but it clearly wasn't normal in any way. He had to take things into his own hands.

That's why he un-dived on the spot. Lucky couldn't log out as he was registered as in a combat, but he could still afk and let his avatar do the work. From her seat in her room, she manually took her own headset and stuck it into the computer. Lucky looked into the programs that were running, a gut feeling in her chest that couldn't be shaken.

She was proven right. The code was entirely different to the one that relied on the game. It was almost like a separate program, even. What's more, it seemed to be running locally on his client rather than from the server itself. Lucky McConnel could edit it without crashing the game via the Anticheat system C0Di3.

That meant only one thing, she mused aloud, "Screw this. I'm gonna cheat!"

What a petty woman she was. Hands flew across this garbage program and gave it a strong one-two, they did. By the time Lucky was putting the headset back on, the code was a path to be followed rather than a line pulling him along. He would take this bait and beat up the fisherman behind it!

Only... the flower he reached was a little bit larger than he expected. It wasn't quite a Gyrados at all. The way it was half burrowed into the ground reminded him of a moray eel waiting for it's prey, wearing the false guise of an anemone to lower guards. Lucky could even see the prey in this scenario-Morgana was just ahead of him. How was he going to stop her?

Lucky's first thought was that of a torpedo. He launched his Wurmple Skydow from the Golden ball, firing it through the waves to painfully strike Morgana off the course of doom.
