Alicia nodded softly, before smiling a bit at the note of the⌠questionable quality of some of the side games.
âYeah, I canât argue that, though most of the ones I got interested in didnât have multiplayer in mind beyond the standard.â Alicia agreed with a hum. âColosseum and XD are the closest I got to proper mainline, what with their only gimmick being the Shadow Pokemon. But what weâre told about what happened to them got me invested enough in the effort to purify them all. Especially the Shadow Lugia. How to purify that one stumped me for a few hours. Then there was the Mystery Dungeon series. Bit hit or miss there within that series as well, but the âhuman waking up as a Pokemonâ premise was worth exploring. Though I was annoyed when I found out that they tended to remove the âhumanâ aspect once the main story was done, making them just another Pokemon you have recruitedâŚâ
She sighed softly at that. She did have a good hand where she made a play that payed off quite nicely. But it was one hand out of many. âThen I got back into earlier games and found Puzzle League. That was surprisingly fun, even if the Pokemon link was just decorative. Conquest was also an interesting take. I liked how the characters there were largely stylized to match with the Pokemon they synchronized with best. And the strategic aspect of moving your troops around the region to keep territory protected while still making a push against your opponent was thought provoking.â
And then Josh brought up the disaster that was Dash. She took the moment to let her head hit the table with a thump. âDonât remind me. Racing games were never my thing, but Dash was⌠something. Not a good something either.â
And then Alicia processed the follow up comment Josh made, lifting her head back up. She looked surprised at first, as if to ask what he was thinking. And then she stopped long enough to think it over. Slowly, it started to dawn that it might actually be possible. â⌠Keep me updated if you get somewhere on that? I just might try it.â
