Nymris was a fast mount, though his usefulness was limited to Ostellia. As much as she enjoyed being buzzed about in small bursts, the vibrations made it difficult to keep her balance when her main goal was to get from point A to point B. She needed a reliable Pokémon that could get her across not just Ostellia, but Asper, as well.
Enter the Cat Tower, where all kinds of feline Pokémon were up for grabs, assuming they had the right team to rout the Patrat swarms. "I'm here mostly for a pair of Litleo," Shalin revealed her intent to her two friends, "though i wouldn't mind getting some other Pokémon, too. An Espeon with a Huge Seal sounds like a lot of fun to hop onto." Psychic-type ride Pokémon were especially rare, and most of them were legendary Pokémon. Latios was the first that came to mind, and learning flight at several times the speed of sound did not sound particularly pleasant. "Let's clean up these vermin!" she cheered, Saria ready to strike with her vines!

Alicia hummed, following the glitch hunter into the feline-based tower. Taking a breath, she let Tikani out and winked. ”Solar Beam.”
”For a bunch of Patrat?” the Bayleef asked in surprise. But she began charging sunlight off the windows in the tower as she queried the call.
”I don’t make the rules in these towers. It wants a nuke, we gotta give it a nuke.” Alicia replied. ”HEADS UP, SHALIN!”
Hopefully that would be enough warning for the glitch hunter to clear the overall firing line. Tikani, a few minutes later, opened her mouth and let the beam of condensed sunlight lance out and fry sorely unprepared Patrats who all squealed in shock and pain as they were blown away.

Shalin ducked for cover, diving into a corner of the Patrat-filled elevator as Tikani charged and released a SOLAR BEAM that sent her bouncing off the platform's surface. The impressive attack vaporized several members of the swarm, though the glitch hunter was a bit shaken up. "Arceus almighty!" Shalin exclaimed, slowly getting to her feet. Even she felt part of the recoil of that attack. "Your Bayleef must be really high level. I wouldn't be able to dream of doing that!"
On the third level of the tower, the electronic board indicated they would need a Ground-type move to proceed. Shalin had one at the ready, but not with the Pokémon she wanted to use. Rounding the small elephant's neck were bubble-like protrusions that left the Phanpy in a perpetual poison state. And not a physical poison. A mental poison. If Alicia had been to Route 7 before, she would recognize it as one of the symptoms of Nihilego toxin.
"Ellie, BULLDOZE!" Shalin ordered, the larger Pokémon lowering her trunk and charging forward. Her hooves squished a Patrat or two, causing their unmoving bodies to despawn.

He’d only ever been in the Tower of Dogs, so for him to find that there was an equivalent ‘Tower of Cats’, he had to bite his tongue. Honestly, the things that the North American server came up with.
“Psychic-type moves? Lucky for everyone here, I have just that.”
He would then call his Gothita from the flash of red light, and then point at the incoming horde of Patrat (yikes) as the Pokémon he’d summoned would attack with a bursting Psybeam aimed at the closest horde that were ready to bite their eyes out..
“Well, would it make sense to at least get the Espeon first?” he would ask the other two.

Alicia winced as Shalin still got rocked by the shockwave passing by. ”Sorry! But yeah, Tikani’s pretty high level at this point.”
And then a new guy cut in with his Gothita, a psychedelic beam flying by to hammer a few more Patrats out of the way. And then the tower was feeling especially destructive.
”Again? Tikani, I hate to ask you for back to back…” Alicia mused. ”Solar Beam coming through again!”
Tikani rolled her eyes, smiling as she began to glow again. Hopefully there wouldn’t be too many more of this particular demand from the Cat tower. After her charge up was complete, she cut loose and rocked the tower with another sunlight lance.

The tower was, indeed, in a very destructive mood. Before even letting the Patrats despawn from being fried by the second Solar Beam, the next prompt was another high powered attack. A freaking Z-Move was being called for.
”Giyun!” Alicia called, letting her Duraludon out into the field. ”Let em have it!”
”Time for some carnage then!” the Duraludon replied.
”CORKSCREW CRASH!”
With the Z-Move primed, Giyun launched himself, summoning metric tons of steel into a drill shape. He crashed through the rapidly thinning horde almost faster than the Tower could spawn replacements.

As soon as Wolf logged into the game, a notification appeared in her line of vision. Brows scrunched together, wolf tail swooshed in curiosity. She couldn’t think of a reason to be notified as soon as she got on. Yet, that didn’t stop her from seeing what it was. And upon investigation, it seemed that she had been invited to join a former tower challenge that she had done a while back. Of course this time though, this tower challenge was a one recently started and seeking more players willing to join. Who would invite her of all players? Her pale golden orbs flickered to see the online status of the game, noting that active player count was low today. Now, it made sense. Shrugging her shoulders to herself, Wolf accepted the invitation and was teleported to join in on the fight.
It didn’t take long for her to arrive, a series of fast pace information of notifications appeared and reappeared before she could full grasp them. Luckily enough, it didn’t take Wolf too long to put pieces together. After all, she had done this before the first time it made its face. Her gaze looked to the other players, giving them a small nod in greeting before getting straight to work. She reached into her pockets, snatching a sphere and summoned a pokemon.
The riolu materialized within seconds, beady eyes took in his surroundings as Wolf spotted some troublemaking Patrat causing more chaos. “Ryoko- Can you please take care of some of these patrat?” “Like, what kind of take care?” Wolf shrugged. “Give them a good punch or kick I guess. Just, be careful of the cats.” The riolu let out a growl, now noting the felines that also accompanied the floor. However, his ruby gaze spotted a target. Ryoko didn’t waste a minute, naruto running for the nearest enemy only to raise a paw to METAL CLAW its face.

”Thanks for the assist!” Alicia called out as the newcomer appeared and released a Riolu into the field to handle the prompt. She was suffering from choice paralysis, sadly, and couldn’t decide what Sinnoh mon she was going to target. It didn’t help that the Sinnoh region’s unique pokedex was utterly anemic compared to other regions…
And now they had an easier prompt to deal with. Giving Tikani a moment to rest, Alicia tossed another Pokeball into the air.
”WHEEEEEE!” Nushi cheered, surging straight upward. Banking around, he sighted some Patrat and waited for Alicia’s order.
”Aqua Cutter!” The Gardener was quick to oblige, and Nushi gathered the waters and launched his aquatic blades at a horde of Patrat, thinning the herd a bit for the moment.

Shalin watched Nushi zip about and tightly bank, slicing toward one of the Patrat and knocking it silly with an AQUA CUTTER. "Nushi's just as impressive as ever, Alicia! We should figure out a day to meet up again. I still want my run!" she chirped, expressing her continued interested in zooming through UNOVR's waters on the psychic fish.
A Fairy-type move? This was Reynir's time to shine! Withdrawing her other Pokémon in favor of the purple and pink Ponyta, Shalin ordered the psychic-type to whip up a tailwind behind her. While not the flying-type, speed-raising move, a FAIRY WIND blew behind Reynir, buffeting the tiny Patrat backward and causing the elevator to rise one more floor.

What the hell was up with this place, this was the second time today he’d seen this particular prompt!
He would then wave in Wolf’s direction in welcome the moment he saw the wolf-lady use a Riolu.
“Honestly, why is the tower being extremely heavy-handed today?” he would sigh; before realizing that he had exactly three Pokémon who could do this.
However, one of his companions was technically ‘off-limits’ due to a location clause; so a few moments later he would switch out his Gothita for his absolutely snarky, sassy Grooke blink, completely and totally unimpressed at the incoming horde of Patrat.
‘Oy, you wake me up for this?!’
“I know you can do something, that only you can.”
‘What?’
“That!”
‘Oh.’
A few moments later, the absolutely not-so-tiny Grookey would begin glowing with the power of the Z–move Bloom Doom, before sending it crashing down on the horde of incoming Patrat!
“Yeah, that move.”

Alicia heaved a small sigh of relief when Alkaid covered the next Z-Move prompt. Why was this tower being so vicious towards the poor Patrat? And then Over 100 Base Power appeared again. The Gardener looked over to Tikani, who sighed.
But before the Bayleef could begin charging, another Pokeball on Alicia’s team started shaking wildly. Noticing it, the pinkette blinked and grabbed it, releasing the mon within.
”Hey, Hey! Tikani ain’t the only one capable of big destruction!”
“We wanna strut a bit too!”
“They want the big guns!?”
“They gonna GET IT!”
“All together now!”
All five heads of Yggdril were raised up. The four making a ring fired first, intersecting their beams to create a nexus of pure draconic might. Then the main head charged up, firing a Fickle Beam through that charging nexus.
The resulting torrent put even Tikani’s Solar Beam to shame, coming closer to (and possibly eclipsing) a Hyper Beam in raw destructive might. Alicia’s eyes widened a bit at the sudden carnage, she hadn’t been aware Yggdril was capable of this kind of power!

The little notification ping that would appear on the side of his screen would make him frown—didn’t they agree on getting the… huh.
There was just the faintest scowl on his face before the next floor’s prompt flashed on the screen—and he had just the companion for that.
“Alright, alright, I got this,” and with a whistle his Murkrow would fly forward, squawking at the… seemingly endless wave of Patrat continued to chase after them.
The Murkrow would let out a guttural screeching noise before launching a Sucker Punch on the closest Patrat that had tried to block their way.
“Not today,” he would growl.

Memories of her previous cat tower attempt came flooding back to her, spotting the notification in the corner of her vision that the first floor has been completed and moving onto the next stage. Wait- What?! The first floor!!!
A sea of patrat came into the fray, Wolf fumbling to re-call her riolu for a much needed break only to bring out another. The psychic feline materialized within seconds, muzzle opened wide in a yawn as she stretched her stiff muscles. However, she stretch was cut short. A Patrat spotted the feline, charging right at him with the intent to attack. “Psykos, look out-“
The espeon bared its fangs, a hiss escaped him. A flash of colorful lights was displayed before her vision, causing the foe to pause in ints tracks. It looked about, almost seeming puzzled by the CONFUSION that encase its frame and sent it back several paces. “Nice.”

Alicia nodded softly, looking over as others handled a few of the prompts that came up in the intervening time.
She did not like this particular prompt any more, given who she had to use, but it seemed everyone else either couldn’t get it or were held up by more important matters. So she tossed one of her Pokeballs, releasing Venex into the air.
The Naganadel chittered, looking towards the Patrat. And at Alicia’s whistle, his jaws parted as a stream of draconic power blazed forth, a mighty Dragon Pulse.
Oh how seeing the Ultra Beast made her remember recent events she’d rather forget…
