The similar ‘nails on chalkboard’ ringing sensation forced him to bite his lip, cringing as the too-close shrieking noise ripped from where the greenette stood.
“Give us some warning before you do that!” he would yelp, sticking a finger into his own ear once the worst of the noise had subsided. While it wasn’t as bad as Metal Sound, still—
Sound moves really did have more of an impact here than it did in the mainline games! Ouch.
Quickly pulling the Gothita out of the field, he would let his Vulpix, Leanne, hit the floor next.
“I know you can set them on fire, so… target practice time,” he would quietly tell her; before this fierce determination burned in the Vulpix’s eyes; releasing a strange, purple-colored column of ‘spirit fires’ that was actually the Will-o-Wisp status move towards the nearest cluster of Patrat.

”It could be worse. I think my only option for dealing with that prompt is Giyun’s Metal Sound…” Alicia grumbled as she recovered from the Screech, unaware she was echoing Alkaid’s thoughts. Of course Shalin had gotten a Huge Seal for her Vibrava. Of course she did. ”That girl’s gonna be the death of me one day…”
With a quick toss of a pokeball, she let her Growlithe from the Park Of Dogs out. ”Flamethrower, please!”
”Flambéed rodent, coming up!” Rath declared with a laugh, before sucking in a breath and releasing a jet of high-power flame. Rodents screeched as the Flamethrower washed over them, clearing the otherwise annoying prompt.

"WHEE-HEE-HEEEEEEEE!!!" screamed Shalin, her voice sounding like it was coming from the other side of an industrial fan as she seemed to split into multiple images due to the sheer frequency of Sandy's air-slicing vibrations. She couldn't hear a word of Alicia Westfield and Alkaid gossiping about her, the speeding wings fanning Rath's flames across the tower.
Once the wings rest, Shalin swayed about while perched on her Vibrava, the ground-type tilting her wings to compensate. When dizziness had worn off enough for her to concentrate, she read the sign scrolling at the top of the current floor. Trapping a Patrat with a Normal-type move would be easy for her Litleo. "Kiara, time for another cat and mouse game!" she teased, Sandy stretching her wings as the fire-type lowered her head. Spiking her burning fur into the small Pokémon with a HEADBUTT, the Patrat ricocheted off the display, causing sparks to fly and a few of its pixels to go dark. "Oops..."

The next prompt that would flash on the screen was—
“Alright, let me at this, I have this in the bag.”
Recalling the Vulpix, he would then summon the Murkrow in another burst of red light.
‘You wake me up for this?’ the corvid would caw, unamused tone in his voice as the beady eyes loomed at the Patrat that were regrouping.
“You’re our best bet for this, Muninn.”
‘Alright, alright.’
The Murkrow would then fly towards the closest Patrat and uppercut the poor thing with a surprise Sucker Punch attack!

At last feeling cognizant enough to stand on her own, Shalin stepped off Sandy's wing, the Vibrava having taken her on the greatest thrill ride she had been on during her entire journey. If this was how crazy she could get as a Vibrava, surely it had to be more so once the dragon-type evolved into a Flygon!
Around Shalin, one factor was a constant, and that was noise. From one noisy Pokémon to another, she called upon Queen Zing, a saddled Beedrill coming from her second Poké Ball that was decorated with a Huge Seal. Her massive wings blew up quite the gale, sending her long hair into a chaotic mess. "Bring one down with your FELL STINGER, girl!"
With gleaming, red eyes, the dangerous insect zipped toward the horde with her rear sting raised, her multi-inch-long barb fully extended from the point on her rear. It may have been a terrifying sight for anyone not used to bugs. The Patrat she had struck squealed in pain as Beedrill venom ravaged its innards.

Alicia winced a bit. Both at the Murkrow’s Sucker Punch and at Queen Zing’s painful looking sting. Well, at least they weren’t attacks with over 100 base power. Or Z-Moves. She was happy that the tower seemed to be calming down a bit. But the next prompt…
Did anyone else have only partially evolved lines? Letting Sylvene out, Alicia whistled softly. ”Let ‘em have it with a Wing Attack.”
”It shall be!” the Pidgeotto declared as she dove in towards the rodents, striking them with fly-bys. It worked well enough in Alicia’s opinion, and the tower accepted it. With another prompt on the way, she could practically feel the charged fur on her fingers, giggling in delight.

Another floor completed, another one started. Pale golden orbs flickered left and right as another wave of patrat came charging in. And for a moment, flash backs of those zombie hoard games she seen people play came to mind. Though luckily for her, it was just pokemon.
This time though, Wolf didn’t go for her dratini. Instead, she called out a pokemon whom she hasn’t used to much as of late. The ball burst open, the vulpix stretching its limbs as it took in its surroundings. “Get that patrat over there before it gets away,” the player order, an arm rose to point to a fleeing foe amongst the chaos around them, “Incinerate.”
Sombra took in a deep breath, the taste of sulfur ticketed her throat. And when ready, red hot flames burst out of her muzzle and aimed at one of the fleeing patrats. She hit her mark, the creature squealing in pain as it ran faster with its butt on fire.

He would then whistle to summon his Murkrow over; only for him to recall the corvid Pokémon back into his Pokéball, before…
Okay, it was either her or the other, so just once, he would then set upon the world—an absolutely adorable Lillipup that caught sight of the Patrat!
Moving like a Snorlax possessed, the tiny canid Pokémon would immediately nip and bite at the heels of the closest Patrat, chasing them away from the room!
“…well, that happened,” he sighed.

Alicia nodded softly. Things were proceeding along nicely. The sparky cat was one of the only Sinnoh Pokemon she wanted long term. Others were good for the time, especially with the oddly anemic dex for Diamond and Pearl, but didn’t really stick with her. That precious… lion? Tiger? Lion was probably the more likely inspiration. Anyways it was a precious baby and she wanted it.
Maybe even to apply a Huge Seal to it. Alpha Luxray were enormous-
She was mentally rambling. What was the prompt again?
”Crios, Rock Slide!” Alicia called, releasing the boulder serpent.
Calm and quiet, Crios focused intently, conjuring the stones he would need, and rained them down upon the horde of rodents.

Shalin, too, was looking forward to expanding her team. She badly needed Pokémon that weren't weak to flying-type and fire-type moves. Such were the woes of a Gardener turning Catcher. Luxray were fine electric mounts; not blistering fast, but fast enough to make traveling on one worthwhile. The ability to see through illusions with X-Ray vision would surely be helpful, as well.
Just a few more floors, and she and her friends could get out of the tower. Seeing that a slicing move was needed, the girl clicked open Balan's Poké Ball, the cranky and aggressive Liepard barely needing to be commanded. "Balan, use NIGHT SLASH!" she ordered. The dark-type cat pounced with great speed, trapping one of the swarming Pokémon beneath his claw before picking them up and cruelly flinging them into the sign displaying the current prompt. She may have knocked out a single pixel of its display...

Despite the inherent lack of Fairy-type moves on his roster, he hilariously had two that could hit this prompt easy—but he’d already dropped his Gothita earlier, so why not give the spotlight to…
“Max, you’re up!” he would bark once the Pokéball that had his Growlithe popped open to reveal the overly-affectionate canid who immediately bolted straight for him; asking for a belly rub!
“Wha—whoa, hey, Max! Later! We have something to do! Can you uh…” he trailed off, balking at the prompt that flashed on the ticker, because he knew that anything between a canine of this caliber and whatever poor target was going to get hit was really going to…
Before he could even say anything, the Growlithe shot off; barking madly all the while, Playing Roughly with the nearest Patrat.
“Well, that’s that.”

Things were cooking quite nicely in the metaphorical sense. She helped hammer through the other floors for her friends and allies here, and at last she was close to a Pokemon she wanted from this tower~.
Alicia couldn’t contain her exuberance, tossing a new ball out to allow another member to cover the Fire move prompt. ”Give us a Flamethrower, Rath!”
”Yeah, yeah! Flame on!” Rath called with some happy yips. His flames spilled out from his maw at that point, and he swept it through the remaining rodents.

She couldn’t wait. There was a bit of chatter from the others as they figured out who could take the final prompt. A Paldean mon huh… well as it happened a misclick on her part caused her to be able to clear this. As well as others but her shroom squid needed time to shine.
”Shylla, Mud Shot!” the pinkette ordered as she traded her team mates out again.
Shylla quivered and glanced around wildly, eyes wide. Wanting no part of this, he quickly fired a jet of soaked dirt to finish the final prompt before quickly disappearing back into his Pokeball.
