Normally he would get messages from Josh Devlin, however today’s message was from Alicia Westfield and there was a smirk that flashed across his face for the briefest of moments.

‘Hey, you legit found a bamboo forest all the way out here? Hanzo’s been bugging me for him to let loose because, well, he wants to be a full-fledged ‘ninja’ or whatever, lol

Sure, 2 on 2? I’ll be there as soon as I can.’

He would then send the message to the hero-to-be, and wait for the location coordinates to be sent to him.

In short order, he would appear; Hanzo the Greninja walking beside him.

‘Nice location. Perfect, if you ask me,’ the bipedal amphibian would hum; before bowing in Alicia’s direction.

“So,” he would greet her once they were close enough, “…as a preemptive question, but I know it’s going to be all rhetorical so humor me, are you waiting for the last unreleased player class?”

They both unlocked the Gravedigger subclass, which meant 17 of the 18 types already existed in-game, all but the very last one.

And it just so happened to be the Dragon-type subclass…

It only felt fair to challenge the Dragon Tamer-to-be with a Dragon-type of his own.

(Although, he wondered just how much firepower he could bring to the table… he wondered if the Invasive species would glitch out here. He didn’t want to find out, so he would instead settle for his Greninja and…)

A few moments later, his Drakloak would hit the field, the Dreepy perched atop her ‘head’ starting to chitter excitedly.

‘Oohwehereforafight?’ the way-too-fast Drakloak would exclaim excitedly; and then the match was on!

“Already, huh? Hanzo, good luck understanding her!”

‘Oh don’t worry, I have a pretty good grasp on how she talks, so.’

The Greninja would then disappear behing a Smokescreen attack; shrouding both himself and the Drakloak on their side of the field.

She would prepare for battle by quickly boosting her own speed up with Agility; it was time for a scrap!

Normally, when it came down to these kinds of things, he would wait them out—waiting to bait the attacker to go first so that he could set up his defenses and then go ham when the time was right.

Of course Hanzo was a dignified ninja. He wasn’t going to fall for any kind of taunt. Hilariously, though, it was the Drakloak that fell for it!

‘Heyhowdareyousaythatyourudelittleshit!’ the dual-type would scream, before disappearing into the shadows through her Phantom Force attack!

While the Flash Cannon would hit the tail of the Drakloak (as she hadn’t fully disappeared at the time the attack came screaming her way) she would then re-emerge from behind the Duraludon and attempt to land her attack from behind, all thing considered.

‘…honestly, nobody would be dumb enough to fall for that,’ the Greninja would sigh, before springing off from one of the nearby bamboo stalks and tried to land a Night Slash on the… on the sushi little thing! Wasn’t that the one who’d taunted them in the first place?

This was looking to be a battle of attrition, because the belated realization that the Duraludon was part-Steel had sunk in only now—both his Pokémon didn’t have any kind of Fire-type attack; but then since it was both Steel and Dragon-type, there was only one way to get around this.

And that was to whittle down the two with chip damage While it was going to take some time, this was one of the few ways he could resolve the entire situation.

The extremely loud—he grit his teeth as a metallic noise began to rip through the clearing—this was before he realized he’d gotten Metal Sound and Metal Burst mixed up…oops.

“Brace!” was the only word he would shout from his side of the battle grounds; while the Greninja would suddenly ‘warp’ out of the picture—only to leave a Substitute in his place; the Drakloak would get most of the brunt force of the attack; spitting out something from the side of her mouth while fighting through the pain.

‘Typicalbruteforcing!’ she would grumble; swinging her tail around before putting as much force as she could muster into a close-range Dragon Rush at the ridiculous-looking sushi Pokémon.

One could only guess—where had the Greninja gone off to?
