> Quest Line Update: Alien OrderAlicia perked up in surprise as she got the notification from her personal quest line. From what she could tell this seemed to have spawned in for her as a result of the Zygarde strand. Despite her misgivings thanks to the mad doctor’s new form, though, she had approached Dr. Bunya at an earlier point to get the DNA sequenced and cloned. But, to her surprise, she’d been told there wass “not enyaoff potential” to make more then one clone. At which point she’d commented on not having this issue before and so couldn’t really explain it better than that. Alicia had had to leave with more questions than answers on that one. But since this little quest line only appeared after Jarzick, where she got her first strand, she was suspicious. The fact that a new “Order sidequest” as she started thinking of them popped up now that she had a second strand was putting her thought processes towards this idea. And so she flicked the menu to accept the new quest. > Welcome again, young Arbiter. All that you’ve beheld so far has fit neatly into what you understand. But the World is yet more vast. One must expand their horizons more to properly harness their potential. Travel to the alien land, make sense of it, and draw forth something you can treasure from its depths.Another marker, another set of coordinates. This one was more brief than the others, but she wondered. ”I wonder what this is all leading towards? The previous one was really open ended as well.”To her surprise, the system pinged her again. > What path you take is yours to discover. These tasks are but guidelines to implore you to venture further. That is what it means to be an Arbiter. The final choice of what you take away… is yours.”… Huh…” Alicia breathed out in surprise. ”What’s up, Momma?” Nym asked curiously, poking her head out and rubbing the sleep from her eyes with a fin. ”Talking to yourself again?””Kind of, ya. Say, wanna go on a trip with momma?” Alicia replied, smiling with her own question. ”Sure!” Nym chimed happily. ”Field trip, field trip!””Something like that.” Alicia confirmed as she put together a team. Then it was time to get moving. To another chapter in her own personal tale. ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2]

Picking their way through the mist, Alicia hummed softly as she made use of a few aspects of her HUD to make sure she was still on track towards the destination set for her. The Misty Timberlands certainly lived up to their name, at least. But with the game’s systems for navigation, they kept mostly on track. ”This place is creepy, Momma…” Nym complained softly. ”I don’t know if I like it.””I hear you, baby.” Alicia mused. ”It is spooky, but its where I need to go. I need to figure out something here. We should be just about-“”Whoa!” the Tatsugiri exclaimed as she looked up. They had just emerged into a clearing in the rift, staring up at a massive building reminiscent of a greenhouse. If a greenhouse were structured to look like a regular house. Or perhaps more of a mansion. ”Are we… going in there?””Yep…” Alicia mused, walking forward to try the front door. She was greeted with a barely moving handle and an alert message declaring the door ‘Locked!’ ”Well that’s annoying… under the mat perhaps?”Kneeling down, the mat was dirtied up immensely making it impossible to read. Presumably it was a ‘welcome’ mat at some point though. But a lack of people coming by to maintain the place had let the thing be caked over in grime. Still, she lifted it up to see what was underneath. Nothing. ”Hrrrmph…” Alicia grumbled out, before noticing the weight leave her shoulder. ”Nym? Where are you going?””I see something! Come on, come on!” Nym called, sounding urgent. Alicia followed her around, blinking as she spotted a window that had been opened. Which was really odd, given the lack of context clues around. ”How…?” Alicia mused. There was no breaking of glass. And the locking mechanism was clearly on the inside. So how had someone gotten in to unlock it? Whoever it was had to be a good sneak. ”Whatever, it’s helpful, and I’ll take it.”Carefully climbing her way in through the window’s opening, she groaned softly and stretched back out. At which point she went over to the front door again to unlock it so that she’d have an easier time leaving. Then she turned around and actually got a view of what was inside for the first time. ”Holy…” she breathed out, looking at all of the crystalline… plant life? Did this all count as plant life? Or were they all just really elaborate structures carved into the shape of various plants? She wasn’t sure which. If they were grown like this, how could this be possible? If they were carved this way… her mind spun at the thought of the literal months that meticulously carving all of this had to have taken. Maybe even claiming it took months undersold just how much work went into all of it. ”This is all so pretty…” Nym commented in awe. ”Yeah. And also… just a bit concerning.” Alicia agreed, voicing her own thought ”Why’s that, Momma?” her sushi dragon hummed out curiously. ”It feels like we’ve either come across someone’s lifelong passion project, or a microcosm of something… unnatural.” the pinkette finished, slowly walking through the contained crystal flora. ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2]

Alicia huffed, carefully picking her way through. For one attempting to fashion this into a garden, the crystalline creations seemed all too eager to spill over from their designated beds. Which meant she had to be mindful where she was placing her feet, lest she snapped a translucent vine or crushed a set of shimmering petals. ”Certainly a single person couldn’t have fashioned all of this by themselves…” Alicia mused. ”There’s so mu-UCH!””Momma!?” Nym cried out, whipping back around as she saw Alicia stumble. But the pinkette trainer was able to catch herself, skipping a bit to reorient herself. ”What happened?””I’m not sure…” Alicia admitted. ”I had to have tripped on something. But I was being careful with where I was placing my feet.” Could she have misstepped despite that? She wanted to believe an explanation as simple as that as otherwise… Well, another explanation implied not only life but intelligence in the pieces the garden showcased. And the hero-to-be wasn’t sure she was comfortable with that thought. ”Please be more careful then… this place is creepy enough when we’re together!” Nym added, floating over to nuzzle the pinkette’s cheek. ”I hear you…” Alicia assured, petting Nym along the top-side of her body. ”Still, all of this crystal is having a crazy effect on the light spilling in.”It was difficult to tell what crystals specifically were which color. Some had their own coloring. Others were clear but seemed colored because of how the light hit them. An entire kaleidoscope of colors slowly shifted through the Garden as she walked through. Blues and reds and yellows and purples shimmered through, changing in angle according to her steps through the menagerie of crystal. It was a mesmerizing view to say the least, bringing to mind a chaotic rainbow. ”Hey! Hey! Over here!”Alicia blinked as they heard an unexpected voice. Turning to look, she blinked in surprise as she saw a Morgrem bouncing up and down, waving its arms. What the heck was it doing he- wait a second. ”You’re… You were an Impidimp last I saw you, weren’t you?”The Morgrem, settling down upon being noticed, nodded. ”Yeah! Long time no- N-Never mind that! I need your help! Hurry!” Then, emboldened with energy again, the dark fairy turned and bolted. ”Ah! Wait up! I can’t move as quick through all of this!” Alicia called forward. Of course Lucy’s pokemon was picking a path off the predefined trail. But that led her to think of another question. If one of her pokemon were here… where was Lucy herself? What had her Rival gotten into in the time since they first battled? ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2] {Rival Party}Morgrem [2/2/2]

Briefly, Alicia swore that if this Morgrem was living up to the stereotypes of his typing, she was going to be just the slightest bit upset. She was certainly having to chase him through some of the denser clusterings of crystal foliage. The rainbow colors were becoming more vibrant, more chaotic, as they went deeper. The light was getting refracted and reflected over and over by the hundreds of unusual shapes in the Garden. ”Where are you even going? And what’s the rush?” Alicia called out questioningly. ”It’s Lucy! We need to get back to Lucy quick!” the Morgrem answered back in a panic. ”Down here!””Down?” Alicia asked, slipping through into a small clearing. And there Lucy’s Morgrem was, groaning as he pulled open what looked to be a cellar door that had been encrusted with crystal. Perhaps, once, even sealed shut with it… ”If she’s down here, why did she come here in the first place?””We didn’t plan on it at first…!” the Morgrem answered. ”But Lucy was enjoying it so much and having a lot of musical inspiration. So we decided to keep going and see what else we could find.””And it ended up being Bad Stuff, ya?” Nym asked. ”Not… immediately. But then-… you’ll see, just hurry!” the fairy type grumbled out, hopping down into the cellar. Sighing to herself, Alicia followed in short order. The Garden above had at least some semblance of meticulous work. Enough so that someone could believe it was the work of many, many years of dedication. Down here, however? It was a whole different story. She wasn’t sure if she was looking at an extension for the housing unit above, or some kind of overrun cavern that the building was built over. There was no where that anyone could go down here without stepping on crystal at her size. The Morgrem could still find places to place his feet, but she had no choice but to step on the crystalline roots and vines directly. What concerned her more was that they were strong enough to hold her weight. That wasn’t what crystal reacted like unless you melted a drop of glass into some kind of cooling liquid to make what was called a Prince Rupert’s Drop. Her weight should have snapped what she was stepping on. Her weight had snapped some pieces earlier that she hadn’t been able to avoid. ”This… is getting real spooky.” Alicia mused. ”Yeah! I wish we’d considered that sooner! But we’re- LUCY!” the Morgrem shouted, bolting. This time, Alicia didn’t need to ask why. There her Rival was, grunting and tugging futilely. She was trapped at the moment, thick crystal wrapping all around her body and trapping her limbs. A small lyre was on the ground nearby, and a similarly bound Quilava was also struggling, flaring his head and tail fires. ”Um…” Lucy began as she looked up and saw Alicia. ”Hi? Help a girl out?””I plan to. And then you’re telling me what the heck happened here.” Alicia replied, humming. At least Lucy wasn’t in any immediate danger… but if it had gone this was already, then there was a looming threat if she did nothing. ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2] {Rival Party}Quilava [2/2/2] Morgrem [2/2/2]

With what she had available… she would have to bust up the crystal somehow, wouldn’t she? Or perhaps… ”Giyun, can you help us out here?” Alicia asked, calling up the Duraludon. ”Boss? What the heck is all of this!?” Giyun asked in fright, looking around. ”You know being underground gives me spooks! It’s one of my few weaknesses!””I know but bear with me for a bit.” Alicia replied, grimacing. ”Cut you make cuts into this crystal with your Metal Claws? Something to give us a weak point to work with. Delicacy is the name of the game if we can get it.””I’ll try…” Giyun mused, reaching a clawed hand out. Carefully, he started scratching against the crystal binding Lucy’s body. If they could get her out, then presumably she could recall her Quilava out of the bindings he was trapped in. ”Well, while he’s doing that, wanna talk?” Alicia asked. Lucy heaved a sigh at that, deciding she might as well pass the time while she could. ”Well… I’d heard there was some weird stuff going on. And I spent the better part of several weeks looking all around Asper for you. Because this sounded like just the kind of thing a hero in the making would want to get involved in. But… well clearly I didn’t find you.””I was out of the region at the time, yeah…” Alicia mused, remembering how early she had gone to Ostellia. ”… Of course you were.” Lucy muttered in bland disbelief. As if she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. ”Anyways, I finally worked up the courage to come out here, after training my team up a bit. You’ve seen the results~…””Yo!” the Morgrem chimed. ”Cheers.” The Quilava added, annoyed at his predicament. ”Anyways… I went stumbling through the creepy mist. I figured I would just do a little scouting trip. Look for something juicy to talk to you about. That was the plan.” Lucy continued, sighing. ”Which begs the question of how you ended up down here.” Alicia prompted. ”I’m… getting there. My Morgrem realized there was something in the mist and started practically bouncing around. So of course I followed him in. And that’s when we found this giant mansion. Instincts from his time as an Impidimp let him slip right in like the locks weren’t even there. So we all sneaked in. And I was just… fascinated by what I was seeing…” Lucy took a breath at that, sighing. ”I’ll give you that it’s stunning, but wasn’t it also unsettling to you?” Alicia asked, curious. ”… Not at first…” Lucy admitted with shy look. ”I… got lost in what all the dazzling colors and crystal shales were inspiring. So I pulled my lyre out and immediately started strumming. Listening to the melody and how the crystals were almost… harmonizing with what I was doing. Like each flower had become a member of an audience all focused on me.””… And you got lost in the perceived attention?” the hero aspirant asked with a quirked eyebrow. ”… yes…” her NPC Rival admitted, hanging her head in shame. ”So I kept going deeper. And then I lost track of time as I played and hummed and imagined. Next thing I knew I couldn’t move. And when I looked down, I was… well, you see.””Right…” Alicia heaved a sigh, palming her face. ”Giyun, any luck?””Try it, Boss.” the Duraludon answered, having cut away at multiple… roots? Branches? Alicia nodded, taking a hold of the weakened sections. She grunted a bit, pulling. And with a snap the carefully cut crystal broke away. ”Great work.” Alicia praised. She and Lucy went about snapping off more crystal bindings, and her Rival was free to recall the Quilava just as planned. ”Thanks…” Lucy breathed out. ”Will you accompany further along?””You want to keep going?” Alicia asked in shock. ”Well… we found something. This was pretty well hidden, wasn’t it?” Lucy asked, trying to convince her. ”… True, it probably would’ve taken me hours of looking if it wasn’t for your Morgrem all but dragging me this way.” Alicia admitted. ”Right! So let’s see what was hidden down here!” Lucy finished, taking off running. Her Morgrem let out a cry as he chased her. And Alicia released an aggrieved sigh. ”I hate escort missions…” Still, despite her protest, she raced after the maiden of the strings. She couldn’t live with herself if she let something happen to her now. ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2] {Rival Party}Quilava [2/2/2] Morgrem [2/2/2]

”So…” Alicia began, trying to not be too distracted by the scintillating rainbows fluttering about the cavern dimly. ”Any chance you’ll be holding a concert for all these ideas bouncing around in your head?””Ehehehe… maybe?” Lucy replied, blushing shyly at the thought. ”Though that’s… a lot of attention.””You seemed to not mind it when it was imagined.” the pinkette couldn’t help but comment. ”Do you imagine a group of haters that’ll criticize your ever string strum? Every off centered breath? That your foot is a quarter of an inch out of place?” the brunette asked in response. ”… Fair point.” Alicia admitted, grimacing. She was suddenly reminded of a few of her more problematic clients. The type who went to the professional and then nitpicked at every little thing they did. Which made her want to scream ‘if you know so much why don’t you fix it yourself and save the money?’ She never did though. Because that was unprofessional. And she really needed the income from her work… ”… You looked like you got that way too much for someone in your shoes, Ali.” Lucy noted with a quirked eyebrow. When the pinkette didn’t dignify the comment with a response Lucy took the turn for what it was and dropped the topic entirely. ”… I think this is what was going to happen to you if I took too long…” Alicia noted as they came into a larger chamber. Walking over to one of the crystal statues, she grimaced a bot as she recognized it as a Cryogonal that was similarly wrapped in crystal vines and roots. Lucy gulped audibly at that. ”Do… do you think it was killed by the crystal plants?””… Not directly.” Alicia mused. ”You know Victreebels right?””The big yellow grass types with the enormous mouth and a leaf covering?” her NPC Rival asked. ”Exactly. I think something like that happened to this Cryogonal and the other crystallized Pokemon here. They got lured in, trapped, and passed away. Then the crystal moved… as alien as that sounds.” Alicia mused. Until she looked at another crystal remains. Which… looked like it had been slashed? Does that mean it was actually actively dangerous? ”I know I wouldn’t believe it if I wasn’t stuck myself…” the brunette whispered. ”OH! Look at this!””Lucy, be care… -ful?” Alicia yelped out, before trailing off. The brunette was easily pulling aside a mass of crystal vines at the base of a great tree like they were regular plants, which seemed odd to say the least. Until the brunette uncovered a… familiar kind of egg. A solid black with green high lights flowing in a distinct pattern… What. Was. Happening. Her own DNA strands were one thing. Rose and Sarah’s eggs were another. Those could be earned. This… this was an entire egg just… sitting there. This was getting too ridiculous. Something about all of this had to be planned. Was this game reading her desire and making events occur in such a way that the improbable fortune of a Hero was upon her!? At the same time, this had the feeling of belonging already. This egg was not hers to take. She wasn’t the one to find it. ”It… looks like a Pokemon egg. But I have no idea what species it could possibly be. But it… looks really special.” Lucy mused. Her arms quaked a bit as she regarded the egg she held in her hands. And then, in a moment that surprised Alicia, she walked over and held the egg out to the pinkette. ”H-Here…””Lucy? What are you doing?” Alicia asked. ”Let’s be real. You’re the one shooting for the stars. Something so obviously… special like this belongs with you. So go on, take it.” Lucy replied simply, pushing the egg gently against Alicia’s chest. The Pinkette regarded the egg, taking a breath. INFORMATION> Take the Zygarde Egg? Y/N… the game was even letting her have the option of shortcutting some of the steps. But it just… didn’t feel right. Y/>NAnd she gently pushed it back into Lucy’s embrace. The brunette’s eyes went wide as saucers at the move. ”A… Ali?””That egg appeared for you, Lucy.” Alicia insisted softly. ”It’s not my time to hold the egg of a living legend.”Her poor NPC Rival was baffled, biting her lower lip in concern. Lucy’s gaze flicked between the egg and Alicia’s face rapidly, as if trying to figure out what to do at this moment. ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2] {Rival Party}Quilava [2/2/2] Morgrem [2/2/2]

”Buh… but… you’re the one who said-…” Lucy babbled, looking down at the egg. Was it really supposed to be hers? ”I… I’m just a girl with musical wishes. I couldn’t possibly be worthy of… of something like this!””Which means you’ll be responsible with that kind of power. You’ll be teaching him or her how to act. So be mindful the example you set, ‘Mom’!” Alicia chimed, humming. ”Aliiiiii!” Lucy cried out in dismay. ”If neither of YOU want it-!”Both yelped in surprise at the new voice, though Lucy only heard animal noises. Alicia gave her a hard shove, sending her falling back. Just in time, as a blur of black dashed through the area the brunette had just occupied. They got a chance to look at it after that, as it whipped around to face them. It was a devious looking Sneasel, which smiled hungrily. ”Gimme the egg~! You realize how rare a meal like this is?””You’re not getting Lucy’s egg.” Alicia ground out with narrowed eyes. The claws of the sneasel explained why a few of the statues looked like they’d suffered slash wounds before succumbing… the clawed Pokemon probably took what it could from them to survive in the meantime. Perhaps it was stuck down here? Either way, she reached held a hand out to order Giyun forward. A few Rock Smashes and Metal Claws should make short work of- ”Let me…” Lucy whispered out as she got up. ”If… if it’s after this egg, and you won’t take ownership… Then wouldn’t it fall to me to protect it?”Alicia looked over at her Rival, before flashing a smile and stepping back. ”You sure this is a good idea, Boss?” Giyun asked. ”If the worst is about to happen, we’ll step in.” Alicia assured. Lucy smiled softly at that, nodding. Then she focused upon the Sneasel in question. ”Quilava, Flame Wheel! Hit it fast! Morgrem, Fake it Out!”And the battle was on. Quilava gathered its heat, igniting the flames on his head and tail. The Sneasel let out a shriek as it rushed to intercept the heated rodent. But Lucy’s Morgrem was faster on the draw, stepping in quickly and making a quick punch towards the Sneasel’s face. It flinched at the sight of the sudden attack, trying to back off, but that moved it right into position for a side ways slap. That disoriented the Dark and Ice type pokemon enough that Quilava could charge unhindered. The rodent threw himself at the Sneasel, wrapping into a ball as he did and crashing into his target. With all of that done, the Sneasel hissed, unwilling fold easily. But unlike Alicia’s own Pokemon, it couldn’t endure super-effective attacks nearly as well. The Flame Wheel alone was enough to leave it wobbling. But it was determined, and it blurred into motion like a Quick Attack. ”Intercept it!” Lucy called to her Quilava. The young Volcano Pokemon was quick to react, blitzing into his own Quick Attack. ”Sucker Punch it, Morgrem!”The Quilava and Sneasel collided with surprising force, and the Ice type flipped away, trying to recover its bearings. That was when Morgrem slipped in and delivered a focused knock out punch while the Sneasel was recovering. The icy weasel yelped as it was sent tumbling back. And with the pokemon’s general frailty… the brunette pulled a Pokeball out and tossed it. The Sneasel was too out of it to react in time before the ball hit it on the head. In moments, the Sneasel turned to energy and was drawn in. Both women watched in anticipation as the ball shook over and over. But at last it locked, and they both smiled. ”Not bad.” Alicia commented. ”Hope you enjoy working with your new partner.””Thanks. Both for that and… well for saving my life, clearly.” Lucy responded, picking up the Pokeball and tucking it away. ”… Though it dawns on me that your Duraludon’s not weak to Ice…”Alicia laughed in good fun at that. ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2] {Rival Party}Quilava [2/2/2] Condition: Good Morgrem [2/2/2]

”We’re about done here, ya?” Lucy then asked, looking over. ”I think so? Well… if I’m being honest in smaller quantities I do find these crystals absolutely fascinating as well…” Alicia mused. ”Maybe even properly look things over. I was a bit distracted with bailing you out.””… After the trouble they caused me, you want to both stick around and take some out of this place?” her Rival deadpanned. ”You never know what you can find. Besides… it might be a way to learn more about how these crystals seem to live? They’re clearly more alive than most. So I’m gonna try and collect some of the pieces we snapped off around you. To disturb this whole thing the least amount possible.” Alicia mused. ”We’re not going to smash the whole thing apart? It’s dangerous…” Lucy mused, shivering a bit as she remembered being trapped and in despair. ”If it wasn’t for you being in the area and Morgrem finding you…””That’s true. But it’s not actively malicious. It’s not busting out of the seams and actively hunting. As strange as it is, it is largely just living and letting live. As long as we drop some warning signs saying ‘Hey, don’t fuss around in one place too long’, what happened to you shouldn’t happen again. If it was actively trying to kill us? Then I’d agree in the thought of smashing the whole thing down.” Alicia replied. A soft ping resounded, and she sighed to herself before ignoring it. Then she escorted Lucy out. And as she did, she picked up hunks of carved crystal and placed them into her inventory. Lucy shook her head at that before shrugging. ”Thanks again. Make sure to not get stuck yourself!” Lucy called as she bailed out. ”I will.” Alicia replied, turning to head back in. She then accessed the pings she got, before blinking in surprise. INFORMATION> Congratulations! You have found traces of Ytterbium! Someone more experienced might be able to help you extract them from the crystal and refine them…… She had no idea how to even pronounce that word. But it seemed important. So she was glad she thought to grab the hunks of crystal. > An interesting choice. Most in your position would’ve reacted violently. Most are not so open minded. You have a spark of wisdom to you. Try to nurture it, but do not be too trusting. When you’ve satisfied your curiosity, the next step will prepare to open before you.Alicia heaved a sigh. This abstractness in the goals made it hard to tell if she was really getting anywhere with it. Or if she’d actually earned her progress. But whatever was having her run to these areas was satisfied with what she was doing. So she must’ve been doing something right, even if she herself didn’t see it right away. Now she needed to get a closer look at that tree… ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2]

It was honestly amazing how quickly one could get used to such a strange setting. Alicia was beginning to navigate the vibrant, scintillating foliage of crystal with greater ease than before. Finding herself before the tree again, she looked it over with a curious hum. If it wasn’t for the fact it was so short, it would’ve reminded her of a redwood tree from California. Petrified of course, as it was undoubtedly harder than any bark she could come up with. It was almost as if someone had infused whatever seed had sprouted into this tree with all the colors from every era. It was, in a few words, crystallized chaos. Hues of all colors gradually bled into each other. The ‘bark’ of the tree swam with color in what would be a mesmerizing way. Skipping along, she took the chance to scale the crystalline tree and sit upon one of its lower branches. Running her hand over the unbelievably colorful crystal. Noticing that several similarly colored vines were nestled into the highest points of the canopy. Curiously, she reached out and gently grasped one of those vines, pulling and pulling. To her utter amazement, it flexed and swayed in time with actions. It was… almost more reactive than the real deal. Or rather, the organic deal. The only thing ‘fake’ about this was that it existed only within a game world. Sidling down the branch, further to its ending, Alicia then laid herself down over it and brushed some of the leaves. They flexed similarly well, and as a result the pinkette was briefly blinded by the sudden change in how the lights were all reflecting. When someone got past the weirdness of it all, it was… almost romantic in a way. Maybe that’s why there was an egg here for the taking? Had no one truly gone into this place before? Maybe it wasn’t so surprising in the long run. Even with a marker telling her where to go, she had stumbled across the Crystal Garden proper practically on accident. Feeling a little adventurous, she plucked a number of leaves off of the tree. Making sure to spread out her takings in order to minimize the impact on what was a fairly harmless bit of alien life. Perhaps they would be of use to her later in some kind of cosmetic accessory. The hero did rarely have some exquisite bling if they really wanted it. Okay fine, she was letting her vanity talk at the moment. Sue her, she was a girl as much as she was an aspiring hero. What kind of girl didn’t take a chance for exotic jewelry? But that did make her wonder where the Ytterbium came from. Or even what it was, really. That name was far too strange to not recognize on first glance, and she was certain she’d never heard of it before. It sounded like it would be on the Periodic Table, though. … Which would probably explain why she never heard of it before. Who memorized the entire table of chemical elements anyways? Not Alicia, that was for sure. She was no scientist, even as a hobby. But if it could be crystallized, perhaps the trace elements were drawn in while the crystal tree was sustaining itself? The pinkette couldn’t help but smile wryly, shaking her head. She was too poorly equipped to actually try and make heads or tails of this thing. All she could do really was guess. But… the thought experiment was appreciated all the same. ”You stay passive and not give any reason to force hostilities, alright? I’d hate to be in a position to have to try and destroy something so pretty…” Alicia mused as if the tree could understand her. Maybe it could. Maybe it couldn’t. Regardless of the answer, it certainly couldn’t respond in a meaningful way that she would understand. Which made her think of Venex and sigh softly. She just… needed more time to get a breakthrough with him. She wanted to believe she was making progress. Still… perhaps if she spread things out enough, she could have a whole set of amazing rainbow jewelry for her and her team. If she could get that without causing real damage to this vibrant crystalline tree... ”People are gonna be so jealous, I think~…” Alicia mused, finally hopping off the branch and taking off. She was definitely going to have to find some time to come back. ——————————————————————— {Party}Tikani (Bayleef) [3/3/4] Giyun (Duraludon) [3/3/4] Shylla (Toedscool) [2/3/3] Sylvene (Pidgeotto) [3/3/2] Nym (Tatsugiri) [3/3/4] Nushi (Veluza) [3/3/2]
