Patch 0.1 is here, and with it, the opening of Beta Island! This glorious, sunlit isle is just a hop, skip and a shipwreck away from the Asper mainland, and is full of lush, untextured jungle, buggy beaches, and Pokemon that run according to their programming.

The only reason he even noticed the Sky Trainer was from a name tag that flashed on his UI. The boy instinctively loosed his hold on the Pyroar, the fire-type slowing down to a still speedy pace. Once he could feel his thighs and upper legs again, he gently pulled on the jungle king's reins, directing the feline Pokémon toward an unsuspecting Dreepy. Really fast."* With most Pokémon greatly exceeding the speeds their real-world counterparts, Josh expected Aslan to be one of the fastest Pokémon on his roster. He didn't expect the fire-type to be quite that fast. "Can turn on a dime with those claws, too. He's... the most challenging mount I've tried to control so fa-a-a-a-a-a-ar," he sounded like he was speaking through a fan as the big cat's throat rumbled. By now, Thunder and Storm had caught up, the two legendary birds still developing their speedy capabilities. Thunder was the first to arrive, his powerful strides carrying him toward the Dreepy and adding to the power of his sharp ~~PECK~~. The ghost-type was a clever one, though, eliminating Thunder's speed advantage with a distracting and even painful ~~INFESTATION~~ from below.
