❝What a dump.❞ Arthur muttered, covering his nose with the Ripped Lunar Fabric.

When the trainer had been walking around, he managed to reveal an area on the map that actually had a name, so that was obviously something exciting and worth checking out. And with a name like Finnegan's Treasure, it just sounded too tantalizing, y'know? Like, was it a building? A restaurant?

No, it was a dump, literally.

More than that, it was a huge dump. He couldn't tell how far it stretched since its entrance was sandwiched between structures, but according to the map, the area it covered looked like it was bigger than a football field, maybe even two. It was possible that this was the junkyard of Tidefall, though with how many aliens living here, he felt like even this was not enough to be the settlement's trash heap.

Maybe this was taking "one man's trash is another man's treasure" too literally, but the chainlink gate was unlocked, even if it had a latch on it. It was as easy as pulling the door open after lifting the bar for him to step into uncharted territory (for him), and what greeted him felt like he was in the middle of a truly gritty cyberpunk movie. Piles that almost looked like it could be a two-story building towered over him, able to keep themselves formed by the sheer amount of stuff piled underneath. A landslide of trash was very possible, however, and so Arthur didn't want to tackle this place on his own.

Unfortunately, the only flying Pokemon he had that could potentially pull him out was Tora. Not that it was really a problem, but he was sure that the bug type would not be happy in a place like this. Nonetheless, he let the Scyther out as well as a Pokemon he hadn't really talked to properly ever since he got her: the pawn from the Creed Shop.

Tora got his bearings first before looking at his trainer. <...this is a junkyard.>

❝Yep.❞

<Why are we in a junkyard?>

❝Well, this is an alien junkyard. Cool stuff could be hiding in here.❞

<I agree with Master.>

Arthur and Tora looked at the much younger voice that piped up. The Charcadet was much tinier and looked more like a flame toy soldier than a Pokemon.

The Scyther clearly looked like he was thinking of saying something rude, but remembered that he reserved his snarking only for his trainer.

❝Thanks for having my back, Kaoru.❞

The Charcadet looked happy at the compliment before looking around. <I can start looking on the left, if you wish.>

❝No, I don't think splitting up is a good idea. This is unfamiliar territory, and we might not be alone.❞

Kaoru nodded. <Understood, I will stay by your side.>

<Let's not wander too far from the entrance if that's the case, hm? We could start on the left, maybe find a path instead of climbing. Those mountains of trash don't look stable in the slightest...> Tora suggested, noting that there did seem to be a winding route through the heaps. Agreeing, the three set off, slow and deliberate, trying to discern anything that seemed noteworthy from the rough.
