Patch 0.1 is here, and with it, the opening of Beta Island! This glorious, sunlit isle is just a hop, skip and a shipwreck away from the Asper mainland, and is full of lush, untextured jungle, buggy beaches, and Pokemon that run according to their programming.

Piles of trash and scrapheap create imposing mountains that can be climbed by the brave, and who knows, maybe treasure does lie within... (260 characters) EXTENDED DESCRIPTION: If a player asks the locals on who is Finnegan, they may get a variety of answers. An owner of a prototype spaceship that crashed in those very lands, one of the richest aliens before calamity struck, a hermit who had lived and continues to haunt the place, a tribute to a loved one...but it had always been Finnegan, and for reasons many continue to speculate and weave stories for, there was treasure to be found here. (Or maybe the junkyard is the treasure, who is to say). A player can expect to find the following: Heaps of trash that can pile as high as a two-story building. Climbing them is dangerous and can result into trash slides. The same applies for trying to dislodge anything near the base of the hill. Things that have been lost or thrown away. Alien technology, old and new can be explored, and perhaps not everything here is inanimate, for in Pokemon, even the trash can be sentient. Wild Pokemon that have decided to take up residence in this challenging urban terrain. Maybe a way underneath it all..?
