It was on.From the ice raged an massive mega camerupt, and Orion found himself thinking quickly. He clicked his heels together, sending himself flying and attacing to the Steelix's body. Turning to Arachnae and Achilles he simply gave them both a grin and shouted. "Alright gang! Let's give Roxy some backup, but as a my favorite Kaiju hero would say...LET THEM FIGHT."
A boulder fell from the roof, and Orion simply met it with a massive uppercut that would have made Chris Redfield blush, powdering it with the power of his blackbelt prowess. " GET BENT BOLDER. YOU AINT HURTIN MY CHAMP!" He howled. Achilles let out a massive hiss and began to skitter about the edge of the battle. Occasionally he would call out "ORION, ON YOUR LEFT." or "ROXY LOOK OUT HE'S WINDING UP." To help warn the combatants. He would dash about, but unfortunately he couldn't do anything about the rocks. He felt so useless, a deep frustration building within him. "ORION LOOK OUT!" Another rock was tumbling towards his trainer, but he was too busy deflecting another. He needed to act but how... Orion barely had time to react to Achilles' callout before he turned to see the rock coming towards him. His eyes widened, this was going to fucking- CINEROARA long feline leg, still glowing ambiently planted a foot against the rock and sent it careening through the air into the mega Camerupts face. Orion blinked, as lumbering next to him was not the tiny pipsqueak cat he used to carry on his shoulder, but a big furry wrestler who looked like he could suplex a boulder like John Cena. "Holy shit!" Orion yelped. "Achilles!""IN MY FINAL FUCKING FORM LETS GO BABY!" Achilles howled, flexing his newfound and not cursed musculature. "BRING IT ON MEGA CUMRAG!" Both turned to face their foe, but then stopped. Instead of kissing booboos, or skittering around, Arachnae stood on Roxy's head, resolutely facing the enemy down. And they were fucking pissed."ECK-FUCKING SCUSE ME SIR!" The bug squealed. "I AM TRYING TO KISS SOME BOOBOOS HERE! AND YOU KEEP MAKING MORE OUCHIES! SO AS A MEDICAL PROFFESSIONAL IM GOING TO KINDLY ASK YOU TO FUCK OFF." With that, it reared it's head up and let loose the mother of all bubblebeams, fueled by its anger, its range, its desire to prevent more booboos, even if it meant giving this bad boy an ouchie.
Orion protects Roxie (10 base) Using his magnetic boots he scales her body to get into a good position to block attacks (10) and fucking CRUSHES some boulders before they even make it to Roxie (10, ROCK SMASH) Achilles helps protect Roxie (10) By calling out potential attacks to both Orion and Roxie (10) finally he transcends to his true form to slam dunk a boulder onto Camerumpt (10) Arachnae transcends from pharmacist to Harmacist (10 Damage) and climbs onto some high ground (+10?) and lets off some sick insults and a sick bubble beam (10) The attack is super effective (+30) coupled with Achilles' sick evolution and rock toss (+50) brings us to a whopping 110 Damage.

The volcano cooled, hardening into cold stone, and she let out a sigh in relief. She could only imagine how terrible everything would have gotten had she not stopped it all.
And yet, it seemed she didn't stop it all. As the Megastone was plucked from the middle, the volcano awoke once more as a Mega Camerupt revealed itself.
With Roxy's Mega Evolution, Laguna was once again in awe. It was a proper kaiju battle! It was incredible! Grinning widely with a wide laugh, Laguna shouted out. "C'mon gang, let's shred this camel! Glacia, Rain Dance!"
The Bergmite on the ground would grin widely, suddenly dancing back and forth, bouncing on its feet as clouds began to form up above, pouring down rain paired with the burning rocks falling down from above. Hopefully, it would help cool things, and make all their water attacks stronger!
"Now, give it all you got! Glacia, Icy Wind! Freeze that rain!" The Bergmite proudly presented itself, whipping up a cold, chilling wind that blew through the rain, turning it into a slushy storm.
"Marina," Laguna would turn to look at her Popplio, only to find it looking nervous. She wasn't there to fight against Kyogre or C0D13. She had never handled anything like this before, and the stress was clearly getting to her. Laguna immediately frowned, moving to wrap up the Popplio in a hug. "C'mon girl, you got this. I believe in you."
And with that, she'd give the seal Pokemon a gentle kiss on the head.
Marina immediately perked back up again after the kiss, ready and raring to go. Her trainer believed in her, and that was all the motivation she needed. It began to blow bubbles, more and more, clearly attempting to blow the biggest bubble it could. Bubbles filled the area around them, almost literally covering them up entirely as they continued to blow and blow. And suddenly, a bright light began to glow from within.
When the bubbles and the dust settled, Marina had completely changed shape. To the acrobatic dancing seal known as Brionne, and she was bouncing all about with ease. Her acrobatic tail had her bouncing on bubbles with ease over and over again as it blew a terrifying blast of BUBBLE BEAM towards the Camerupt. It's dancing dodging around falling rocks, retailing with intense force!
"Woo! That's my girl!" Laguna shouted out with intense pride swelling within her. She had to find some way to help out too.
And yet, she couldn't fling water at their foe, or defend Roxy like Orion was able to do, with his punches. Just how was she supposed to assist mid-combat against a boss? It seemed almost a bit too much...
Perhaps she should just grab loot while she could. Dodging through the raining boulders, intent to grab a few shiny gemstones before her eyes caught on something else. Her tooltips revealed more tasty rocks that have been revealed by the falling boulders, and she got a wicked idea.
Gathering as big of an armful as she could, Laguna scrambled back over towards Roxy. "Here you go, big girl! Eat up! Regain that strength!" And with that, she'd begin tossing them up into the Mega Steelix's mouth like a baseball toss.
Bergmite: Attack 10, Rain Dance to boost other's water attacks! 10, Icy Wind to chill the storm and freeze the Camerupt! Brionne: Attack 10, Biggest Bubble Beam Ever! 10, Acrobatic Dance Dodging! 10, Super Effective Move! 30, Evolve 50 Laguna: Heal 10, Falling Rocks reveal more Tasty Rocks with her Tooltips! 10, Gives Roxy some Rock Candy to regain her strength! 10.

Lucky took to using his Alchemist features as best as he could. What did he have on hand, in the minecart and in his inventory that would allow him to make a healing implement? Using his quick critical thinking skills Lucky Guy used a diamond, an Escape Rope and a Potion to create an impressive potion with which to heal the poor Steelix Roxy that had been coming under fire. He sprayed onto the wounds as the giant Camerupt made them, doing away with almost half of the burns since he'd arrived.
During all of this time, he'd forgotten to give orders to his Pokemon. Maybe he was panicking just a little bit, but it was something he would be thankful for after looking back on all of this so fondly. Klang, with no other orders, continued to dig through rock. Stone by stone, the walls fell and gemstones came. Maybe there was a Miner subclass or something, because Lucky recieved the following message:
"Huh?" He looked back, but it was too late. The whirring gears had gone into overdrive in their hatred of stone. It had adapted, it had grown-it had created new gears with which to destroy terrain. The Klang it was no longer. As if to celebrate his great fanfare, a large rock was accidentally tossed behind the newly-christened digging machine-one that went straight into the Camerupt's volcano, clogging it.
Opportunity arose. "Selma! Push that rock right down his gullet!" On his mere command, the Gyarados leapt towards and onto the giant Camerupt of volcanic legend. The great frame of the rain dragon reached over the mountaintop, and thusly let loose rain upon the world as was his dominion. A gout of pressurized water struck the crippled stone and pushed, readily creating a scatterblast of steam, liquid and stone into the Camerupt's innards.
Lucky: Healing Camerupt +10, +10 for alchemizing a good healing item, +10 for putting all of his attention into the act, forgetting to order his Pokemon around in the process. In total, Roxy heals for +30 if all is good, while taking 60 damage - a total of 30 damage to Roxy.
Gyarados: +10 Attacking Camerupt with a Hydro Pump! +10 for using a pressurized blast at a critical spot, +10 for the high-ground bonus. There is also +30 for it being a super-effective move, and a further +50 created by Klinklang's evolution creating an opportunity for a scatterblast attack. If all goes well, a total of 110 damage to the Camerupt!
Klinklang: +10 GREEDING for those Precious gems, +10 for using steel tools against soft stone and +10 for dedicating himself so hard to the grindset that he evolved just to do it better. +50 Greed bonus in addition, for a total of 80 progress.

There was a boss battle now? Natsuki panicked as the massive Camerupt rose up from the stone as she looked around to her fellow members-- trying to decide if they were going to pick a fight! After she saw multiple attacks go off, that told her that they were! Turning around and preparing herself for a fight, Natsuki and Chespin both tossed aside the tools they were using to mine moments prior as she ran up closer to the beast. She definitely wasn't going to go down without a fight, not that she planned to go down in the first place...Shouting out her first command, she stood back to watch her hopefully successful attacks-- but it was going to end up being much more than that. "Froakie, just do what we've been doing! Water Pulse that thing back to hell or wherever it rose up from!" Suddenly right after her command was given, her Froakie began to brightly shine while a swirling helix of light rose up around the little frog-- and as the light faded away it was now a bigger frog! Froakie had finally evolved, and Natsuki was just staring with her eyes wide open like she'd just witnessed the best thing in her life. "HOLY SHIT-- YOU DIDN'T TELL ME YOU COULD DO THAT--" Natsuki shouted out as she looked over her new Frogadier, although she didn't have much time as it darted off at a speed too quick to follow. Climbing up the side of the rock wall, it'd get near the top and jump off right above the Mega Camerupt, blasting out THREE rings of water down onto the beast with an audible slam from the force alone of the water! Natsuki just continued to stand there, shocked as her newly evolved Frogadier ran back to her after it's attack, tilting it's head as if asking for approval. "Y..Yeah-- that was the best thing I've ever seen..." Kneeling down to pet both of her Pokemon, she completely forgot that Chespin hadn't attacked yet. "Oh-- right... we'll do that now." She said to a pouting Chespin, standing back up from her crouch and prepared for another attack. "Okay, so.. grass moves probably aren't the best idea here, so I want you to bite it when you get close, okay?" Natsuki gently said as she reached down to pick up the confused Chespin, rearing back before THROWING THEM AT THE CAMERUPT. Probably wasn't the smartest idea-- but it certainly beats running up slowly. Before they were launched off, Frogadier had attached a rope made from it's bubbles onto the bottom of one of their feet, hopefully a means to bring them back just as swiftly as they were thrown. Once Chespin got face to face with the Mega Camerupt, they quickly bit the side of it before Natsuki and Froakie yanked back on the make-shift bungee cord, pulling Chespin back even faster than they were launched off as they WHACKED right into Natsuki's face, sending them both to the ground. "Part of me thinks that was an amazing idea while the other half thinks it was the stupidest thing we've ever done... you two alright?" Natsuki groaned out as she stood herself back up. She could still act since she hasn't done anything yet.. and she scrambled to find something to do. Taking inspiration from Laguna, Natsuki ran back to where she was digging out rocks, picking up a bunch of random colored stones before licking the prettiest one. "...Sure tastes like a rock, I guess. Why did I think that would work?" She says before tossing all the rocks up to the Steelix, hoping at least ONE of them would be good enough to heal them. She didn't have any ideas left... even if this was just to feed Roxy in the past-- maybe one of them had healing properties.. People go crazy nowadays about healing crystals, Y'know? Frogadier - Super Boosted Water Pulse +10, Wall Running! +10, Rope for Chespin? +10, Evolution +50, Super effective +30 Chespin - Bite, +10, ABSOLUTE YEET + 10Natsuki - Healing.. Roxy? +10, Trying to lick rocks like she knew what she was doing +10

Orion grit his teeth, this was taking the A train to shitsburg real godamn quick. They needed to get out, they needed to protect Roxxy, they needed to hopefully hold on to some of their loot if possible. He wasn't even sure if escape was possible, but a deep flame in his gut was telling him that he wasn't just gonna sit here and take whatever he had left. He would turn to the group, a fierce fire in his eyes and yell out. "DIG YOU FOOLS. KEEP ROXXY ALIVE AND MOVE STONE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. IM BUYING US SOME TIME."Cracking his knuckles he turned to Arachnae and Achilles. Both scared, looking to him for some confirmation. "Alright...guys Im not gonna lie...this is gonna hurt and we're buying time. I don't think any of us are walking out of here unscathed. Is that ok?"Arachnae looked at the horde of bugs, then back to the fortress of Iron she'd been protecting all day, then back to Orion. He could tell she was scared, her bubble of water trembling as she spoke. "Yeh, lets beat they ass."Achilles simply chuckled. "I just got the power up of a life time, lets show these fucking bugs what it means to deal with us eh Boss?" Orion nodded, taking a deep breath. "Whatever you do guys, try and stay alive, but just know that dinner's on me when we wake up from the white out.""Can we get waffles?" Arachnae asked excitedly. "Whatever you want."
And with that, they charged. Achilles let out a howl as he lit one bug on fire, and then suplexed it into a pile of other bugs causing them to light. He was all jabs, down Bs, and air juggles until the numbers were too much and engulfed him. He fought tooth and nail, his last howl drowned out in the chittering horde of bugs. Arachnae, for their part, did their best to keep near Roxxy's tail, spitting bubblebeam after bubblebeam at them. Softtening the ground to slow their advance, using the fire's Achilles had started to make steamscreens for cover. When the bugs caught her, it was a short battle, her final words echoing through the cavern. "FOR THE WAFFLES!"Orion was fighting for his fucking life, using his magnetic boots he rose to the ceiling and was ripping the roof right out from on top of them, smashing bug after bug with rocks falling. When his last poke fell, he could feel his head getting light. He felt the light coming upon him, his first ever white out. He couldn't stop though, not till he was certain he could help his team. The game wanted to take him, spirit him away to safety so he could nurse his injured pokemon back to health. NOT FUCKING YET He howled. He disengaged the mag boots and dove into a pile of bugs, his roars so loud it was causing audio distortion in the game as his eyes glowed white and his body began to thrash and glitch about. He would be fighting till his last breath, the bugs would have to rip him apart to get him to stop his rampage. He would rip and tear with inhuman fury till the job was done.
Orion, Achilles, and Arachnae all throw themselves unending at the bug horder. Achilles 10+Super effective Fire (10) + Suplex (10) Arachnae 10+ Slowing them down with mud (10) + Steamscreens to cover the retreat (10) Orion 10+ Using the magboots to get the high ground (10) + Dropping rocks on them from above (10) Both pokemon fainting (80) Orion refusing to white out, activating his power of waking ( ?) 170 Total?

The Camerupt had been absolutely devastated, as everyone had a Pokemon that evolved mid-combat. Was this a scripted event? Some sort of programmed battle feature in the dungeon? She didn't know, but honestly, she didn't care. Marina was awesome now! And totally badass too boot!
The ground shook, and bugs began to burst out from everywhere. "That's it gang, let's go!" She clambered into the minecart again, quickly pulling along her two Pokemon before Roxy shot off into the distance, digging away into the earth again. The inside of the minecart was now so full of gemstones, there wasn't any solid ground to stand on. She was almost paralyzed with indecision on how to help out before orioncayge shouted out.
Dig you fools.
She laughed at the perhaps unintentional Lord of the Rings reference, finding it oddly fitting to the situation at hand. "C'mon, you heard the man! Let's get to work!" Clambering out of the cart once more, she and her pokemon ran to the front of the tunnel as fast as they could.
Bergmite's hard shell had melted a bit from the intense heat of the magma before, but that was nothing another HARDEN couldn't fix. Her spikes grew larger and larger, ready to break some stone.
Laguna had to work quickly with no physical strength or Pokemon moves on her side. All she did have was clever thinking and these gosh darn fancy tooltips. She rather quickly figured out any stone described as a Heavy Stone, was immediately too large or heavy, or simply unorthodox for her to toss backward, leaving it to the more muscular amongst them.
She did, however, manage to glitch her hands and slip into a few cracks in the wall, ripping out a few large sheets of rock that already looked super loose. As they crumbled to the ground of the cave below, she couldn't help but wonder. Perhaps they were coded to tumble inwards and on top of Roxy as soon as they were reached? Definitely dodged a bullet there.
"Glacia!" Laguna yelled, staring at a rather large crack in the cave wall. "You know what to do! High Jump Kick!"
Bergmite yipped in response, suddenly pouncing forwards with intense physical might, slamming through the crack in the wall.
Only to immediately be buried by the rubble underneath as it collapsed all around her as she burst through into a small opening. There was no escape, and Laguna could only stare and watch in horror as Glacia fainted so quickly. She couldn't even breathe, paralyzed once more.
It took the gentle tugging of Marina on her hand, for her to even realize to retrieve the Bergmite back to their ball. Poor Glacia... She had done nothing but follow orders. How could she let this happen again? If only she had known, if she could have somehow-
Without warning, Marina suddenly slapped her fin against Laguna's face as she blinked back to reality. For once, the Brionne had a serious look on her face. She was still smiling, as the species almost always did, but her expression was much more solemn than words could describe. She had grown so quickly, from a scaredy-cat to a firm guiding hand.
Er, fin.
"You want to fight, don't you?" Laguna spoke calmly, even as she lifted the Brionne into her arms so they could run together. That was all that she could even say. That look in the seal's eyes, there was no dissuading that. She had seen it once before...
What was with all her Pokemon? They all wanted to be a hero. To give everything they had to protect the person they cared about... But it wasn't enough for Laguna. If they were planning to go out in a burning blaze of glory, for better or for worse, then so be it. But Laguna will never let one of her Pokemon go through that alone.
Never again.
Laguna nodded at her starter Pokemon, the understanding between the two obvious, even without any words being spoken. And suddenly, she careened to a halt and turned around to face the horde of bugs.
The sheer number and size were overwhelming and Laguna felt her heart sink as she forced herself to remember. This was only a game. All the pain wasn't real. It didn't exist... But her pokemon were real enough for her. That was all that mattered.
"Aaaalright you bitch-ass buggy motherfuckers!" Laguna shouted at the top of her lungs, proudly clinging Marina to her chest as she began to blow bubbles all around them. Building up and up, filling the cave as much as the little pokemon could. "You want some of this, you demonic hellspawn? Go back from where you came you overgrown cockroaches!"
Marina's bubbles had been strong enough for her to bounce atop, so Laguna decided to attempt exactly the same. She leaped forwards, her feet finding purchase atop one as it squished beneath her feet, and suddenly the two of them were launched forwards off of a bubble trampoline.
"Eat Bubble Beam, Bitches!"
Laguna shouted as loud as she could as Marina suddenly began to blow out the biggest bubble beam yet, wave after wave of bubbles poured from her snout, the force even keeping them aloft for the briefest of moments. It shredded bug after bug, popping and exploding all over them.
And yet, what goes up must come down. Laguna braced herself, attempting to ready herself for the pain.
Despite all the fear, the apprehension, the impending doom of slamming into the ground with her exhausted Brionne, and being shredded by bugs, she couldn't help but laugh. Almost grim, like a cackle as she was mere moments away from making a bug pancake with her own body.
It hit her all at once. Maybe her own Pokemon are such damn heroic fools because it's all she ever wanted to be herself. Someone who could make a difference. Why else would she be stupid enough to do this? And at the moment, it was just, funny.
And then, splat.
WHITE OUT
Laguna: Dig 10, Tooltips direct her to rocks she can even lift! 10, Glitching her hands into loose cracks, and rips them down! 10 Bergmite: Dig 10, Hardened Ice Shell with Massive Spikes! 10, High Jump Kick crumbles rock, but sometimes it has a price to pay. 10 Brionne: Attack 10, Eat Bubble Beam, Bitch! 10, The Supportive Bond of Trainer and Starter, Motherfuckers! Lucky watched as the chaos unfolded down beneath in the tunnels. The tide of bugs flew endlessly, all seeking destruction. Orion would not fall, even as those beside him would. He could see a status over the man's head, one related to that coffin he'd come across so many days ago... How much longer would he last? It was clear enough that he would be the last if nothing else.
It gave Lucky time. As Pokémon partners fell, he measured the dimensions of the cave. As Laguna went kicking and screaming into the swarm, Lucky readied his Pokemon with orders. It was only when Orion was left that he dared continue with his plan. Lucky plucked the Big Red Gem and let it rest in the minecart for now. He wouldn't be needing it anymore-not after where he was going.
"Aye, right there... Now, strike it! Dig the hell out of that wall, boy!"
The plan was quite simple, in his own terms-Lucky had come to the mines to dig, and dig he would. He'd excavate the tunnel right back into the little swarming bastards. Klinklang opened terrible gashes, preparatory lines for the final blow that would send stone-a-tumbling down the hallway. As rock and stone fell, Klinklang tumbled down into the void below, tumbling stone flowing through with an extra-angry bludgeoning instrument to boot.
Gyarados could not fit into the tunnel to dig with Roxy-he could not leave, and so he remained. He could not dig up, and so he digged down-pushing away the rolling stones further down the hallway with roaring tide he summoned beneath.
Only Orion and Lucky remained at the precipice. One direction led up, the other into the hell of insects. Orion seemed to be dazed in the moment that the rocks passed. It seemed that the great man really couldn't die for some reason, even after all of this. That was all the better.
"A parting gift," Lucky said, granting a boon in the last moments of his dream. Lucky walked back up the tunnel, off to a place beyond where Orion Cayge would go. Perhaps another dream would find the two together. Yet Orion was not left alone-Lucky remained by his side, even when he left. His boon remained, and as Orion rose again to face the horde he could feel the strength it brought him.
Gyarados tumbles down to destroy bugs +10, His great mass rolling over the little fuckers +10, bringing with him a wave to drown the bugs +10
Klinklang attacks the bug horde +10, Creating a great cave-in +10, Steel beats rock and so rock beats bug +10
Lucky digs away +10, Orchestrating a cave-in to buy more time to dig +10, walking away dramatically and entrusting the legacy to Orion +10
+30 for one Pokemon fainting

Lucky takes a good look around himself, pleased to see the light of day. They did it! And now, Lucky knew exactly what he needed to do next. He turned on his heel and walked right back into that tunnel. He'd clip into that damn dungeon if he had to do so to get in there again. Orion Cayge eventually crawls up the tunnel, covered in the blood of his slain enemies. And when he did, he was not alone out of that cave. He walked arm in arm with Lucky Guy, who had descended into hell to drag the man out together.
"Nobody's getting left behind," He said down in that tunnel, "Not while I can say something about it. Especially not you, ya old mate!"
