He'd met the digital mom back when he had been busy getting his running shoes. Something he had immediately ignored because he wasn't sure how to equip them just yet. But that also didn't matter too much since he was moving into the area with the next tutorial. Seeing someone else had started it already he got the flag to enter someone else's tutorial space. Something he ignored so that he could just get on with it. Manish had tons of Pokemon so how hard could catching them really be? After all that guy was kind of a walking disaster... But in a good way.

"Sorry, sorry. I'm going to piggy back on this."

He eyed the other player and wondered what would happen if he told Manish that growing animal ears would look good on him. He would probably become a mess. And stumble over how to do it. It was in both of their best interests for him to not mention it he supposed.

Their shared 'mother' looked at him and smiled.

> "Oh! You're just in time Amanita, I was about to show your brother Derk_TheJerk how to catch a Pokemon! Now I can show both of you at once!"

Some people had some super creative names on this game. And some of them were extremely telling. That one was extremely telling.

At least he was agreeable enough to let him join in on the tutorial. That was... Good. It was faster to do these things with more than one person it seemed as mother moved into the grass, Pokeball in hand.

"Do you think she'll catch a rattata or a pidgey?"

He'd watched a few videos about old Pokemon games and apparently those were two popular options for the tutorial. But he'd never really seen it in person obviously. Or played a Pokemon game other than this in any seriousness. And he was only doing this for Manish. At least that was what he told himself.

>"Okay boys! Watch how it's done! First you need to weaken a wild Pokemon before you can catch it!?"

Amanita couldn't have been paying less attention until 'mother' tossed a full Pokeball to release a miniature rayquaza onto the field as her own Pokemon as the wild Pokemon appeared.

"Uh... is that normal?"

But it seemed as though the weirdest part wasn't over as the wild Pokemon that spawned for mother to fight was the LARGEST wurmple he had ever seen in his life.

"That's not normal."

> "Oh! This looks like a tough one boys! But don't worry! We'll surely make it through!"
