[ti]private[/ti]004: Gotta Catch 'Em All

”Oh-?” A nearby voice makes an inquiring noise. ”You’ve already caught many pokemon?” The individual sounds intrigued. Looking over would reveal a green haired, green eyed almost fae Gardener with a cheerful grin on their face. The plants beside them, for all that it is Autumn, are growing plentiful. One of the lovely side effects of being a Gardener, in their opinion.

They are clearly labeled Fairytale.

”I don’t suppose you’d be willing to teach me how to catch pokemon? I am, indeed, new, unlike you.” They inquire and state, still cheerful. ”And, truth be told, I’d rather not listen to the rambling of NPCs when I could hear from an actual player with experience.”

Then, suddenly, their gaze focuses intently on the other. ”If you so wish, I could owe you a favor,” Fairytale offers. An exchange for an exchange. “A smaller favor, but, nevertheless, a favor.” All the while, they keep up their cheery expression, even as their gaze became more intense.

The tilt of their head is somewhat reminiscent of a bird that has noticed an intriguing meal. “Equivalency,” They agree with a sharp grin. “A small favor for a small favor.” They had specified this before, but the wording of the other had left out the insignificant nature of the favors being exchanged. Whether the absence had been purposeful or not, it was a reminder worth giving. A warning. Fairytale was not fond of having their words twisted, unless they themself were the one doing the twisting.

”I have a starter, yep~!” They cheerfully announce. If they’re startled by the mini legendary, they don’t show it, merely grinning back at the baby pokemon in their own way. ”Hmm, Leviathan? What a perfect name for such a lovely pokemon,” Fairytale maybe-praises. It’s hard to tell if it’s a compliment or a statement of fact from their tone of voice.

”But such a small emperor,” Fairytale playfully states as the other’s starter is revealed.

In a less playful tone, though their cheerful facade is present, they speak, ”Finn, hm? I’ll remember that.” Whether it’s an idle comment or not remains to be seen.

Obligingly, they release their own starter. A Bulbasaur. She waves her vines with joy at the sight of others, seeming especially intrigued by Leviathan. ”It seems she likes you and your companions. …You may call her Padma, if you so wish.” Their is an odd note of melancholy as Fairytale introduces the Bulbasaur with name.

”As for me… I go by Fairytale here, as you may have guessed. My pronouns are they/them, if you find yourself needing to refer to me.”
