[ti]open[/ti]002: Special Delivery

It was another Player, and luckily it was a familiar one! Maxine Mayfield stepped into view, joining Alice on the path toward town. "Absolutely!" The pink-haired girl was just glad she wouldn't have to do be bored on her own all this time! Noticing Ariel the Popplio was out again, Alice tapped her own Pokéball to let Stella walk alongside her for a little while. It would be good for him to socialize with other Pokémon outside his team.

She chuckled at Ariel's remark. "Oh yeah? Hopefully I don't embarrass myself on this quest then, I'd hate to lose a good first impression." She nodded at her Chikorita. "Meet Stella! He's a male Chikorita, but I still think Stella's a great name."

<It definitely stuck,> Stella agreed, his tone amused.

"Hold this for a sec?" She lifted the package above her partner, and his vines came out to grasp it as Alice opened her inventory quick. She took out the Egg she'd found in the Rookery not too long ago and struggled for several seconds trying to find a good place to hold it in her current outfit. Curse this skimpy thing! It made her legs look absolutely mind-boggling and brought an otherworldly grace to the rest of her appearance, but it wasn't good for more functional uses.

She was about to try stuffing it in her sleeve when Stella interrupted her. <How about we just trade? You hold the package and I hold the egg.>

"I like the way you think." After exchanging each of their precious cargo, Alice turned back to Max. "Yep, that's the idea! I think it's also supposed to walk us through certain common player controls too, so there's a good chance something interesting will happen along the way." This quest was the least complained-about quest according to Reddit.

Right on cue, they came across their first obstacle, a swift-flowing stream with a single, sturdy-looking boulder in the middle, clearly meant to be used as a stepping stone.

A new tutorial prompt appeared on Alice's HUD. In some terrain, you may encounter areas that require you to jump. Simply make the jump motion the same way you control your movements, and the game will automatically place you at the correct jump-point, even if you overestimated or underestimated your leap. Try it!
