Tiernan enjoyed Noonlight Shrine- it was soothing and peaceful, and even when his pokemon were well, he would return. To sit, to meditate, to bask in the warm sunlight and fallen leaves. It was serenity and solace, and Tiernan let his eyes close. The breeze ruffled his hair, leaves rustling as they flitted among the breeze. It was calm, and quiet, and for a moment this wasn't a game of achievements or quests, but a simple forest.

Tiernan ssmiled softly. What a young child! When Hal had brought up the game, he had mentioned off-hand it had a low age rating, but he'd never put too much time into really thinking about the repercussions of that. Was it safe, even, for someone so young to be using virtual reality devices like the WorldView? Questions for someone with more medical knowledge than he.
"That's good. I'm glad." He said, moving to extend his forearm- Fal'inrush eagerly fluttering from the fence to Tiernan's arm, the man not seeming bothered by the weight or talons. "The quest to visit 'Mom'? I was just on my way there myself. Fal'inrush and I would be happy to accompany you." He said, voice lilting over the name, the rowlet perking up as his name was spoken.
Tiernan gently led the way, through Briarbane's streets until they came to the three way intersection where mom's house was located. It was a cute place, with white slats and pink-brown trim. "Ah- what a charming place," Tiernan said, letting Myne head first onto the wide porch before he followed, and knocked on the front door.
"Coming!" Rang a voice from inside, before the door opened and an older woman lookedat Tiernan, and then down at Myne. "Oh, how wonderful- Myne, Tiernan- Come inside! I've just got some cookies coming out of the oven." She ushered the pair in before vanishing back into the ktichen.

Tiernan enjoyed the settlement- The wilds were much his favorite, of course, but Briarbane was so different from New York. He walked comfortably along the dusty streets, idly watching the flit of birds and bats. It was refreshingly peaceful- for the most part.
Tiernan frowned at the pop-up that appeared, and then the blinking spot on his minimap. Hm... so he was close enough to visit his... mother's house. He had been playing for a few months, on and off, but had neglected the basics... Perhaps it was time to change that. "Come along, Fal'inrush," He beckoned, the rowlet hooting softly and taking wing after him.
He swung up into the air, looking over the streets from above- Until he saw something that caught his eye. With another loud hoot, he swept down, landing on a fencepost near another young trainer. He twisted his head at them, giving another curious whoo.
"Hello there," Tiernan greeted, catching up to the little rowlet. "I trust he hasn't been bothering you?" It was said mostly in jest, a hand going to skirtch along the pokemon's feathers.

Stable pathing gives way to natural fonts. Water and moss urges them downwards Tiernan only able to keep himself upright, and marvel at what the tree has become. Falin'rush, though, is more than capsble. He sees apidgey coming, and with a quick rush of his wings, bombards the creature before it can draw too near.
Rowlet used Leafage.

Tiernan watched Momo, both as she pulled out a bit of food, and then waved it out the window towards the pokemon- And smartly pulled her arm in when the talonflame looked too closely. "Hmm... It should. We'll only know once we try it, though." He took the offered food with a bit of a nod. At her comment, he gave a soft laugh. "No, I imagine not- if the Talonflame doesn't like it, I'm quite certain plenty of other pokemon will." There were plenty of little creatures running about, from birds to rodents.
He felt the weight of the omelette- as little as it was- and looked up at the circling Talonflame again. Tiernan shifted, tossing the omelette into the air- A sharp scream piercing, and the bird swooped down, snapping up the treat, a sharp gust of wind marking her passing. "Well... It seems she likes it." Tiernan laughed, watching the bird go with wonderment. "Shall you try, as well? Perhaps she'll ensure our travel is a bit calmer, with a full belly."
Momo spoke so formally- didn't she know she was playing a game? Well, whatever- It would be rude to bring up, for starters, and also it was kind of a pot/kettle thing for Lexi to bring up. She was playing mister big political man, after all. Maybe they both could learn to relax a bit, hopefully... When not being circled by a talonflame, of course.

Tiernan picked his way carefully through the tower, trying to be mindful- Sharp leaves were littered all over the ground, signs of some earlier fought battle. The shuckle sedately following after him didn't seem to notice nor care, continuing to drag themselves along.
The pair stopped at the sight of a patrat, behind a very obvious tripwire and a swinging ball made of leaves and twigs. Tiernan stepped over the wire, and shuckle... simply plowed through it. The ball swung down, right into the shuckle, who continued to move forward as if nothing had happened.
The patrat felt fear.
Paralyzed, it could only watch the shuckle approach, the soft and placid looking creature the lashing out with violence.

They were all tired- The sun was setting, casting autumn gold across even the bark and the stones. The impidimp was panting, Rae'shalare's sides heaving with effort. "You're almost there," Tiernan said, moving to pick up Fal'inrush. "You can get this done, Rae'shalare." She nodded, tails lashing, and lunged at the impidimp again.

The impidimp lunged, scratching at Rae's face. The vulpix jumped back, seeming to now treat this more like a game than anything else. She skittered around him as he attacked, dancing around the attacks. Fal'inrush watched them, shuffling his wings before hopping forward, launching himself at the impidimp. They tumbled again, Fal'inrush hopping away with a triumphant crowing.

The pair were re-energized, working together as one. Rae'shalare bounced around the creature, with Fal'inrush fluttering back to Tiernan for approval. The impidimp hissed, tongue waggling as it then lunged, scrabbling to get a hold. "Wonderfully done, Fal'inrush," ]Tiernan said, then glancing to Rae'shalare. "Are you holding up?" She growled in response, tails lashing. "Good, good. I'm proud of you."

Rae and Fa'linrush moved to opposite sides of the impidimp, Rae letting out a small huff- And they both lunged at one, both sending the impidimp to the ground. It landed with a sharp cry, scrabbling and biting to get free, sending up tufts of dirt and grass as they did so. The impidimp hissed, and Rae barked back irritably.

"We give our thanks, to nature." Tiernan explained, eyes closed as he took in a slow breath. Rae was nestled at the roots, Fa'linrush standing at the edge of the tree, looking straight up. "And to the gods that protect us." Fal'inrush warbled, voice rising up through the branches. Rae'shalare pawed at the dirt, nosing at the loam gently.

Rae'shalare hopped back, tail lashing, licking at a wound on her paw. Fal'inrush shook himself out, hissing, and flung a slew of leaves at the impidimp, who scrabbled to get out of the way. Tiernan watched the battle closely- Rae'shalare and Fal'inrush were tired, having spent the day exploring. Would they be able to handle this fight under such strain?
His pokemon seemed not to care, moving to try and flank the impidimp.

There was a scuffle, a flurry of claws and feathers. Tiernan approached, concerned, letting Rae down from his arms. The impidimp drew back, standing taller even than poor Fa'linrush. Rae'shalare growled, tails lashing, and leapt at the creature, trying to force it back. "Be careful, you two." Tiernan warned, keeping his eye on them warily.

Tiernan picked up Rae'shalare, heading back in the direction of Briarbane, Fal'inrush swooping ahead to investigate the grass, searching for a meal. Perhaps... they would stop in the settlement, for a short time. Warm food and a soft bed would do them all some good, to be sure. Tiernan rolled out his shoulder, scratching the vulpix's side gently as he did so.
He paused only when Fal'inrush made a squeak, wings fluttering as something startled him. It was either another pokemon... or something the rowlet had only just noticed. "Are you alright?" Tiernan called.

What Rae dragged out was… a skwovet, tall fluffed and voice irritable. Tiernan sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. ”Was that a kind thing to do, Rae'shalare?” He asked, voice wry. The vulpix twisted to look up at him, dropping the skwovet in the process, who shrieked and scrambled up a tree- harassing Fal’inrush as they did so. The rowlet cooed softly, swirling down to land on Tiernan’s shoulder, shuffling a bit as he did.
Tiernan sighed, reaching to pet Rae’s head. ”Maybe our fate isn’t in these woods, tonight?’ He shook his head, casting his gaze for sign of the other routes, or somewhere else they could search. Spawn Reset
