"I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;" The gentle breeze of the Steppes carries the voice of the Alchemist that wanders over hills, her melodious soprano reciting verses that speak of the tide and the sea. They're not meant for her, nor are they meant for these open plains. They're meant for the egg that she carries with her – ivory and crimson veins forming a pattern on an otherwise sapphire shell. Everyone knows what people say about talking to babies before they're born, but can the same be applied to ferocious pseudo-deities of the sea? Apparently. Or, well, at least according to the r/UNOVR discussion about hatching legendary eggs, that is. Tuesday intends to put this theory to the test; forming Legion's personality and attachments around the things she says. Will it work? There's only one way to know for sure.

"Hmm... Maybe that one's too nice." Tuesday considers then, pausing beneath a tall spire and placing a hand upon the egg. The tips of her fingers are marked by gold, but they do not mark the egg as well. The involuntary Midas Touch does not always activate, and this time around, her touch is as gentle and careful as it gets. Looking down upon a shell of colours that match her own gaze, she speaks again: "Below the thunders of the upper deep, Far, far beneath in the abysmal sea, His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee..." The Kraken by Lord Alfred Tennyson. She'd continue, but a nearby sound steals her attention – golden cat ears perking up with curiosity. Is it a wild pokémon? Is it hostile? Just in case, Ancile is released, the Cryogonal being ever ready to act as her shield...

A Ponyta.
There are a multitude of options Tuesday could choose when she spots the nearby equine Pokémon, among which the most obvious ones are clear. She could let it be and hope it does not notice them when they walk by, she could have Ancile attack it until its dealt with, or—...
"Ancile, hold this." The cotton sling bag containing the Kyogre egg is offered to the Cryogonal, who carefully wraps its chains around the strap. The bag is held up yet close to the ground, so that if something were to happen and the egg were to fall, it would go unharmed. Meanwhile, Tuesday uses a bandana to tie her hair up.
<'My liege?'>
"I read that there's this title you can unlock by riding wild Pokémon... among other things. Figured I should give it a try, no?"
She does want to unlock every available title, after all.
What could possibly go wrong?
Ancile does not agree or disagree with her plan, simply holding onto the bag. However, when Tuesday begins to cautiously approach the Ponyta from behind, the Cryogonal seems to sigh...
She's limber, quick, and utterly fearless. Once she's close enough, she runs, pulling herself onto the Pokémon as if she were a gymnastic jumping onto a pommel horse.
"Ha!"
Afraid, the Ponyta neighs, rearing and attempting to get free of the thing on its back. The flames on its back burn, but not even when it rears does Tuesday let go. It's only once it breaks into a wild gallop.
She falls onto the grass, disoriented and burned.
"Hmm... Probably should've done that one back when I was a Kindler..."

<'My liege! Are you alright?'>
Ancile's concerned tone rings in her ears, causing them to twitch once. The grass feels soft, nice, even if the scent of the plants and moist soil results to be rather overwhelming when lying in this particular position. Her nose wrinkles.
"Ha. Yeah, yeah. Is the egg okay?"
She barely turns her head, but it's all that she needs to do for confirmation to come: finding herself greeted with the sight of an approaching Cryogonal that still firmly holds onto the heavy bag.
Good.
All is as planned.

Never mind, all is definitely not as planned.
Tuesday realizes as much when the ground beneath her begins to... shift and move around? It's an odd sensation, and it causes her to sit up, her gaze drifting towards a small moving mound. A small moving mound headed directly for the egg that is being held less than a metre above the ground.
"Shit."
She's quick on her feet, getting up and running to grab the bag. Its held close to her body in order to keep it safe, rolling onto grass just as a Drilbur jumps out of the ground.
"Ancile!"
The task of scaring away the threat is left to the Cryogonal.

Her whole body aches. Why is it that this game is so painful sometimes? Oh, right, realistic pain threshold settings and all of that...
Tuesday takes a deep breath, rolling onto her back over the grass and looking down at the bag she holds onto as if it were the most important thing she has ever carried. In this game, it might just be.
The Kyogre egg looks just fine. Unharmed, undamaged, and utterly unperturbed by what had just happened. In relief, she sighs.
Now, hopefully no more wild pokémon will try to eat her little unborn Legion...

While the Drilbur is easily scared away by Ancile oh so effective coercion methods (which are admittedly a little ruthless, but what else is to be expected from Tuesday's favourite?) a nearby sound causes the Alchemist to hold the Kyogre egg even tighter than before. It's a familiar sound. A sound she has come to know thanks to her past encounters with mighty steel beasts...
"Ancile! Hold it back!" Tuesday tells her Cryogonal, who in turn is quick to act. Chains of pure ice wrap around the rogue dragon, holding it back just in time to stop it from charging towards the Alchemist and the obviously delicious prize she holds. Does everything out here want to eat poor Legion?!
Tuesday stands, knowing a Duraludon won't be easy to scare off and that she sure as hell won't run.
It's time to fight.

Tuesday is not one for standing still while her Pokémon gets to have all the fun, and so a decision is made quickly enough. Finding a well-protected spot beneath a spire, Tuesday sets down the bag, patting the glistening shell of the deity's egg. "Wait here, I'll be right back."
Not like the egg can move or anything, but you know... good measure and all that.
Alexa is summoned from her inventory; the gelid steel of the immovable spear bringing a certain comforting feeling. Safety. Protection. Power.
"Alright, Ancile. Don't let go." Tuesday commands, ever calm.
The ice chains tighten their hold, paired with a CONFUSE RAY that causes the steel dragon to let out both indiscriminating attacks and metallic roars. It's loud, it's dangerous, but she approaches by its blind spot — her steps being as quick and silent as those of the felines she had taken other features from. And, then...
And then Tuesday jumps onto the Duraludon's back, immovable spear in hand and ready to be jabbed right into its weak spot.

The Surge Steppes were a massive place, and the chances of two players running into each other was slim.
But those chances rise when one of them is actively hunting a Duraludon, and the other is currently fighting it.
Sarah saw the 'friend' blip on her minimap, and thought little of it until it turned red. "Combat. Probably worth checking out. Focus!"
"On it! Ma-BLAST-io!" Focus arced high into the air, catching a glimpse of the battle between Tuesday and the Duraludon. Her eyes went wide, and she bared her teeth with sizzling excitement. "It's Tuesday! She's fighting a-" Focus hit the ground with a soft whump, and sprung back up to finish her sentence, "-Duraludon!"
"No time to lose then. If Tuesday is on it then it's half dead already."
Sarah rushed towards the fight, glad that there was no rain to contend with this time. They found Tuesday locked in battle, riding on the back of the steel dragon and apparently winning quite handily.
Focus raised her wand, poking out her tongue as she squinted and aimed at the struggling pair.
"Aim for the legs, please," Sarah said, and Focus adjusted her aim. "Hold on Tuesday!"
The ground underneath Duraludon's left foot ruptured, shaking the titan and making him lurch as half of his footing suddenly disappeared.

Tuesday is never one to expect backup unless she calls for backup, and even when she does, she sure as hell won't take it easy on her opponents in the meantime. So, how does she react to the appearance of Sarah Lee and her enthusiastic Braixen? Well, as should be expected of her, obviously... "Oh. Hey, Sarah!" The catgirl smiles at the Kindler, both feet firmly on the Duraludon's shoulders while in the middle of jabbing Alexa right in the hinge between the dragon's head and "neck". Is it brutal? Maybe, but hey, this thing had wanted to eat her Kyogre egg! Some would say it's some motherly instinct or whatever. The truth, though? The truth is just that Tuesday is a little menace. "Alexa, stay put." She commands the immovable spear, then gracefully jumping off the Duraludon's back so the pokémon can finish the job now that it's been immobilized. The moment she stands at a safe enough distance, Ancile strikes with a NIGHT SLASH, and Tuesday pats the egg that is now safe from harm. "At least we're getting easy cash."

With Tuesday out of the firing line, Braixen launched a wave of flames at the Duraludon. The Immovable Spear was like a wheel lock on the enemy, and it roared under the overwhelming heat.
"Quick and easy," Sarah agreed. She could almost feel[/] the BYTES already. She already had a Klink and another Duraludon sitting in her box.
"You've got a knack for finding these cash cows," she said, laughing. "What's your secret?"

The Duraludon falls to the might of their combined attacks, unable to even attempt an escape due to the immovable spear locking it in place. Without the dragon there, the weapon will appear as if it were floating in midair, but even then it would be impossible to get it to budge. "Maybe it's the circlet." Tuesday jokes, tapping on the circlet she wears with one index finger. "Don't dragons love kidnapping princesses? If we're going by fairy-tale rules, that is."Kind of an archetype in those sort of things, no? Yet, Tuesday is pretty damn sure the Duraludon had been more interested in the egg she now holds. With the beast not fallen, she nods to her Cryogonal, and after speaking the command word "Alexa.", gelid chains pull the immovable spear out of steel and offer it to Tuesday. She throws a pokéball for capture, and her attention returns to Sarah Lee then. "How about I let you know if I find another, and you do the same? Help each other beat them up faster, profit, and all of that." She winks. All about that cash.

"It's a beautiful circlet," Sarah agreed, "and I bet the dragons don't expect the princess to fight back, either." She grinned, taking out her own Golden Pokeball and catching a copy of the massive beast.
"The BYTES are nice, but it's a challenge I want. I've beaten...four of these now. I would love something harder." She stretched her neck, looking up at one of the spires, and then over to Tuesday.
"Maybe there are stronger dragons somewhere out there, and I just need more jewelry to lure them out."
